Hello anyone knwo how to enable fingerprint as Home button without using an app (like fingerprint Quick action or fingerprint gestures)?
Is there any modification in build.prop or system files to do?

Since fingerprint sensor is fixed in lineageos (or -based) roms, I like just to soft touch the sensor in stead of pressing it for home button. The app fingerprint quick action can do it. And some more (double tap, quick tap..)

I'm on VTR-L29C636B171 right now and I did not notice this on VTR-L29C636B166
I'm on B171 of the dual sim model and for me the fingerprint reader is completely disabled and acts just like a fingerprint reader. However I have noticed that the reader acts like a home button when the screen is off and password/pin disabled.
The sensor is P10s biggest feature besides the camera but it works only as Homebutton when the Navbar is disabled...but why would someone enable the Navbar when the sensor works so awesomely perfect?

One tap takes you one step back, long tap takes you to home screen and a swipe to left or right gives you multi tasking option. Hope that helps

i have use lock apk that provide the button on screen instead of use hardware button
i doesn't like use button of phone so in need the button on scree but the problem is when assign admin permission on this app it cant support fingerprint unlock so all time asking pattern to unlock device

Use nova launcher double tap to sleep gesture or smart launcher 5 double tap to sleep gesture
I use this one dynalogix.screenoff.ultra.quick.timeout and it works quite well, it is using time-out technique, no admin permission is required, hence you can still use fingerprint to unlock.
You can either 1) place the screen-off shortcut on the desktop, 2) place the shortcut in Quick Settings, or 3) assign the shortcut to launcher that support [double tap] gesture. I'm using this with Nova Launcher.

I know the sweeping gesture to open the notifications.

With how often I hit the sensor by accident, Id imagine it to be an annoyance. Just the like the sensor gesture that would expand/close the notification screen. Just some UX input.

First of all, I do not use Gestures and its not activated. So please don't tell me you can do a V on lockscreen, I know already.
I used to have crDroid on my previous OP3T device. You could activate the flashlight on long press of the power button when the screen was off.
Is there any way of adding such a feature to OxygenOS? The device is rooted if it can help. Maybe an available package on F-Droid would allow such customization?
Alternatively, maybe a lockscreen shortcut button on bottom left along with the camera button?
Any way to quickly activate the flashlight with minimal handling of the phone/screen.
