fix recovery - T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

seems as if my recovery partition is corrupted. Let me explain. When I flash stock ROM when it goes to recovery to finish the setup the phone keep saying set warranty bit recovery. Even when I'm able to install a custom ROM with a custom recovery it does the same. It is bootlooping. Can anyone help?

[Droid] Cant boot into Recovery. Triangle w/ cell phone

I rooted my phone using the SuperOneClickMethod and then installed ROM Manager and flashed clockwork mod recovery onto my phone. After this i tried to backup and install a new rom onto my phone and when i would do that it woudlnt allow me to backup and it wouldnt let the rom install. it would just bring me to a recovery screen and i would have to reboot my phone. i tried unrooting, formatting the SD card, doing a system wipe and then trying it all over again and now when i try to boot into recovery it just shows a trangle with a cell phone laying down next to it. it doesnt let me do anything i have to pull my battery to reboot it and then it goes back to normal. What do i do to fix this?
PS: my Volume Up is broken so i cant even attempt to boot into stock recovery.
If you can't enter on recovery.
I think you will need to install the original ROM, just using RSD lite.
Or search for froyo version if don't need base.

[Q] I think I brocked my phone

I used CWM to flash cm9 ROM to my phone and upon rebooting it entered a boot loop. I can still get into download mode but am unable to get into recovery. I keep thinking if I can perform a factory reset on my phone I can flash the original firmware and start over....but how do I do that when I can't get into recovery? Please Help!
I had something similar to this, I had a corrupt flash and it wouldn't let me even get to recovery. What i did was open up kies, go to tools, then Firmware upgrade and initialization. Follow the steps, you need the model SGH-t879 and your SN from the back of the phone under the battery. Let it flash it to the phone and it should reboot. I'm not 100% this would work, but it worked for me so it could be worth a shot.
Or go to download mode, flash recovery again. Then flash roms etc...

[SOLVED] TWRP recovery missing

I have tried to boot in recovery to flash Xposed SDK only to find the phone is doing a proper reboot, even when using NDR and selecting reboot to recovery and when I hold the volume down and the Sony logo, nothing works,. I have tries using NUT's installer to add it again, although it finishes successfully the recovery isn't there, I am not bothered about flashing or wiping if I have to, but is there any other way first? Its all started when my phone won't recognise my SD Card, unless I remove it and put it back in and then on reboot its missing the card again.
Same problem
I have the same problem but do not have a computer. I was reading about it and found that after you flash a new ROM before booting it up, you have to flash recovery (especially NUTs Dual recovery) and then boot. It is weird since most ROMS have a preinstalled recovery and I do not get why we have to do this. I keep losing recovery after flashing a new ROM and will try to flash CWM. NUTs dual recovery keeps getting lost for me. I will borrow a friends laptop and get it done over the weekend.

I've never had the problem before and I have flashed this handset a few times, recovery should have went on when I flashed the pre-rooted rom as I created my own, but doesn't matter as I have already tried to put the recovery back on. I will however try another recovery.
flash recovery without PC?
Do you know anything about flashing a recovery without a PC? I have an idea but do not wanna test it without a PC at hand. What if I extract the recovery.img file and put it on my internal SD and boot the phone? Will it install the recovery? If you know of any other way please let me know

Boot loop after flashing rom

So I've been attempting to install a rom, ANY rom on my phone and the results always seem to be the same. I boot into TWRP, wipe then install the rom. On reboot, the phone loads up the initial (black) samsung screen. Then buzzes twice and reboots. It will do this infinitely. It happens with any rom I've tried flashing. It has to be something I am missing or doing wrong. Does anyone have an idea what it is? I've even gone as far as completely wiping, odin in a stock image and then adding TWRP again. I just can't seem to figure it out.

You need to ODIN flash the stock original official COG2
firmware & odin flash cf-autoroot and the twrp recovery
before flashing the zip file rom.
Once that's done you can flash any N910T zip file rom in
twrp recovery without any issues.
Make sure to do a full wipe in twrp before you flash any
zip file rom to avoid bootloops and or getting stuck on
the samsung boot logo screen and be sure to do a full
and complete wipe which includes:
"System, Data, Cache, Dalvik Cache and last but not
least do a factory reset.
Good luck,
Have a great day!
