hello!
I have added new google account, removed old google account with which phone was first started&configured since it was new.
Now I have questions:
1. When thief stole my phone and do factory reset from recovery, which account will be needed to sign in (FRP)?
2. I have no apps in play store library, apps which was buyed on old google account are still usable. Is there any way to get all my installed apps into play store library (on new google acc.)
3. I feel that part of my phone still use old google acc. and another part use new account. Am I right?
4. Are any special samsung things to change here? I am asking because samsung have heavily modified android compared to stock.
Thanks for replies.

1) You can test FRP yourself,I think you know this already,The account that the phone was logged into when 1st setting up the phone is the one you'll need to sign-in on a reset.
2) App purchases are not transferable, but, this may help: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/7007852?hl=en
3) No way of knowing,a very generic non-specific question. G-Mail has the ability to use several G-mail accounts, guessing you can sign-in to other apps w/various Google accounts,I don't have the need other that the G-Mail app.
4) Use your phone for a while & see what you like & don't like, then use the search function in the Note 9 section for related topics.
The one area I would suggest Googling (& look here & XDA as well) is Note 9 S-Pen Tips & Tricks,or,something to that effect.

Not sure why you want to change everything over to a new account, cause it's a pain in the ass. But here you go:
1. If someone performs an unauthorized factory reset, such as from Recovery or by flashing a firmware through ODIN, it will require the last Google account logged into the phone. Once you remove the first one from your phone, it's no longer on your phone. Whatever Google account you added afterwards or left on it will be the account that looks the device. It's easy to test. Go to accounts and try to remove the current account. You'll get a warning that device protection features will no longer work.
2. As far as using apps paid for from your old Google account. As far as I know, there's no way to transfer them over to a new account. Maybe if you call Google they can do that. Your other option is to log into your old account and set up a family plan and attach your new account. Just make sure you add all your apps on the old account to the family plan.
3. Once you removed your old account under settings, no part of your phone is still using it. It logs you out of that account. What you'll want to do is make sure all your contacts are synced with the new account so you don't lose them.
4. Samsung soes modify Android, but as far as doing anything special for Samsung things you shouldn't have to. Samsung typically keeps Samsung account stuff separate from Google account stuff. Now with Pie, you'll be able to log into your Samsung account using your Google account so you may want to associate your new Google account with your current Samsung account. That's probably done in your Samsung account profile settings, though I'm not really sure.
it's because I have a lot of VPN's and app data configured, it will take days to set all things again. or is there any way to backup all data and then restore it after resetting phone with new google account set?
so far as I know, some data is stored in secured partition where I don't have access, not even google

I tried the method of settings- applications - clear the date from all google related apps - this but it doesn't work.
Changed also the gmail password so the SGS can't log in... Doesn't work.
Whatever I do - I get a red triangle in the top left corner asking for my google password.
Any ideas?
Frankyl - its disappointing that a user needs to go into so much trouble to change an email...
just go into Seetings > Accounts & Sync
then you can Add new accounts or Edit exisiting accounts

If you are trying to edit the main account that you signed in with first.. Basically NO! Tried it myself as I couldn't choose which google chat account it signed with as I have 2. Had to factory reset and enter the 2 accounts in the right order first being the one that had all my calendar detail and my google chat account that had all my contacts in.
that doesn't sounds quite right, i'm able to delete/edit/add any account listed in the Accounts & Sync page in settings

When you click edit it only lets you change the sync options for that account... but say like me you have 2 gmail accounts and you link them both the first one will sync your calendar the second account will then not give you the option to sync the calendar... also only then lets you sign into things like market place and google chat with the first account ... with no available option to switch accounts... I spoke to samsung and they said the same you must delete the head account (very first account used to access market place or activate anything on the handset). and to do anything other than adjust the sync settings you must factory reset it even tells you that if you try to delete the account!! try it!!
i'm sync-ing calendar with 2 Gmail account 1 for work 1 for personal
each of them have its own sets of contacts and calendars, they each one show up in different colour.
on the personal gmail account i event sync the picasa web album
then on top of that i also sync my yahoo account calendar and contacts, as well as my MSN
but MSN can only sync contacts no calendar option for in hotmail/live accounts
my twitter account can only sync contacts as well
but facebook account can sync both calendar and contacts
and emails also sync across gmails/yahoo/msn accounts
as well as the IM for gtalk/yahoo/msn
Are you using something other than the stock android calendar because with mine whatever gmail account I signed in first with I had option for sync on the calendar but the second only contacts and gmail.... but with regards to mine, I also had to do it as all my card details were linked to the second account and I didn't want them linked to the other! therefor I had to for the purposes of buying paid apps, by accessing the market place with the other account..... and there is no way of switching accounts for that!
i'm using the Samsung Apps (email, calendar, IM) that came with the phone
it's quite good, better than i expected
in the calendar each of my accounts have its own colour, so i know which Calendar entry comes from which Sync Account
this is like sooooooooo much better than what i used to have in Palm, Blackberry or Windows Mobile, those 3 are horrible, it was very difficult to have personal + work account in the same phone
but with Android, it's like a dream come true, everything is detailed to its own account, but all visible in 1 calendar
maybe you guys need to upgrade to the latest

I tried it myself - and it doesn't work.
I'm using a stock 2.1 firmware with a Dutch device.
Does not work - frustrating.

Yeah as I said even if people dont beleive me... other than being able to edit the sync settings of the head account... There is no way of physically changing what the head account is or change the address of the head account. Yes you can add others but they will never become the head account. As I said had to reset mine to change it too.

This is my experience also. The first entered Gmail account is the only fully functional one the others have limited sync. Many hours and concluded reset is the only fix. Now I will have to repurchase some apps because the Market only talks to the first email account!!!! At least apple allows these basic changes. People have been complaining about this for ages when will google listen? I brought an Android device over Apple iPhone because I hated the lock in Apple does and needing iTunes for everything but find the Android is worse for useability. The only gain over iPhone so far is the Samsung has a bigger display and easier to type or swype. Maybe I am missing something and Android is better but not convinced at all at the moment. Unfortunatly you only find out after owning a device for a few weeks the limitations.
I'm used to using ROMs that don't support backup assistant on my phone so I'm not sure about this.
I would like my Market account to be my Gmail account, not my backup assistant or whatever.
When i first started the phone, I skipped all backup assistant things and added my Gmail. But when i go to Accounts, it still locked with backup assistant.
I need it to be my Gmail account to get all my paid apps.
Do you mean when you go into menu>settings>accounts, you still see the backup assistant account with a lock on it? b/c in the stock ROM, you can't get rid of the account. you can not set it up and it won't do anything, but it's like the stupid VZW bookmarks in the browser or the VZW contacts on your contact list - you can't get rid of them, but you can ignore them.
You should still be able to set up your gmail account; as far as I know, the android market requires a google account. It won't use any other accounts, e.g. facebook, backup assist, etc. Happy to help more if that doesn't answer your question.

Well I know for a fact that the market isnt reading from my google account because it still says I have to pay for the apps i've already paid for.
I would get another ROM but BigDX's theme is only for stock
I'm too lazy to add the PNGs to the new ROM myself...lol
Umm.. You have to use a Google account for the market. Backup assistant is only related to your account info with verizon (ie. your phone #). If your market isn't showing your apps you are logged in with the wrong google account, OR, the apps you had downloaded are not the same apps capable of working on your new device. For example, there are games like Fruit Ninja that have a TegraHD only version that will only show up on Tegra phones, 2 different apps entirely that effectively are the same.
Thanks, i fixed it. I had to delete the account that didnt have my apps on it, clear market then reload it so it only had 1 google account to choose from (i have 2 on my device), the re-add the gogle account that didnt have apps.

In the future, while in the market, you should be able to go to menu>accounts and select the correct account, without deleting/re-adding your accounts.
Glad I could help!
I'd like to change the e-mail address I use to log into the market/play store. I created the account a long time ago, and have since began using a different gmail account as my primary email, so I'd like to be able to change it if possible. The thing is, I want to keep the contacts and purchased apps currently synced with my old account under the new address. Does anyone know if I can do this?
hmmmmmmmmmmmm
You can have more than one account and set up what you want to sync with each account so I'd just use both. I have several accounts. I sync mail on all and only sync contacts, calendar etc with one.
Not sure you will be able to do it any other way. But maybe someone else can help.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
I think isn't possible to port market link from one account to another; maybe to only solution is to make a titanium backup of your data and try to restore after changing the account.
If you have TB pro you can try also to restore missing links of the paid apps you have.
If it don't work you don't lost anything 'cause you are working on an new "empty" account.
So :
- Make a TB backup of all your data and apps
- Remove your Google account
- Add your new account
- Restore data and apps
It should work.
Yeah there are ways around the fact, TB and syncing different accounts. Just wondering if there was an easier solution than I know
I'll just sync a couple accounts and make do.

Not a hundred percent positive but dont think you can... I looked into it a while back
you have to reset your phone
So I have a Galaxy Note 5 that I like but occasionally had issues with, and while meandering around my Google account, noticed Google Authenticator was listed as an installed app on the Play Store. This app have have been the trigger for conflict with other authentication software on the phone, so I checked the phone for Google Authenticator, no go. Puzzled, I installed Authenticator with the sole purpose of removing it, which I did, then removed Authenticator from Play Store list but did not "uninstall it" or turn off two-step.
I do a wipe, the phone asked for my originally synched email, password............then 6-digit token . With no way to log in to the account, I can't access the app, etc., this loop is impossible to bypass.
I submitted a recovery request for the email address but my understanding is the recovery chances are slim. Why I am posting this is because I am trying to determine the best course for the actual hardware. After two hours with Samsung/Google/Verizon on the phone, I ultimately have Samsung agreeing to remove the Device Protection Lock so I can use the phone with a different email (or sell it).
Any practical suggestions to bypass the Device Protection Lock before I pack this phone up?

Easily.. Wipe it with twrp
I'd love to get a good Android set top box, and one that's coming directly from Google sounds like a great thing. Can you bypass the Google account login on this new one, and just rely on sideloading apps that you want to use?
Doesn't seem like there's any way to bypass the Google account set up step on this one. If someone finds a way to get it into a "generic" state without tying to a Google account, I'd love to hear about it.
