One UI - Pop out Video and Save video options missing - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Questions & Answers

When using the stock Oreo ROMs, while viewing streaming videos in Samsung's internet browser, you could long press on the video, and an option to save the video would appear. You could also have the video pop out into a separate floating window. Both these options are missing in the One UI beta. Has anyone figured out a way to re-enable them?

Not yet. Even though the video assistant is enabled that little purple icon is missing. Are you on Samsung Internet Beta too?

[Q] Opera mobile

Hello all ! Well I use to use Ninesky but I wanted to give a try to Opera mobile.
I also like it but I'm wondering... why can't it play videos on Youtube ?
Thanks for your informations.
Sent from my LG-P970 using xda premium
I use dolphin HD and it can play videos and its a lot faster than opera.

Actually Ninesky can too. ;-) But I would like to know why Youtube's video cannot be played with Opera mobile.
Sorry for being curious about that.

If you play it from m.youtube.com, it will shows error something like "the protocol is not supported"
But if you open www.youtube.com (desktop version) the video can be played

I think it depends on which user agent you use. In advanced options you can choose if you want to use 'desktop' or 'mobile'.
Also in advanced option you can choose if Abode Flash files should be opend after clicking on it, automaticaly or you can turn flash off.
I'm sure that opera mobile can play videos from youtube and other tubes too

Yes it says something like that but do you know why ? Why Opera don't support that protocol in mobile user agent ?
Sent from my LG-P970 using xda premium
my guess is that opera does not support flash, or doesn't come with the plugin.
Trolling in the deep
Actually I was very happy with the option of using Desktop Agent, because many sites redirect you to mobile version if they detect stock browser or other mobile browsers, and the mobile version is very different and in some cases very limited.
But with the option Desktop Agent as far as I know any kind of tube works flawlessly. As for Dolphin, perhaps it's matter of ROMs, but in my experience it turned slower than Opera.

Google play music error

Is any one having any issues with google play music ?
I can download apps and have no issues.

Does it work for you now? I can access it just fine. Could have been google servers resetting after the play store was hacked and crashed.

Have you tried connecting through wifi? It took a long time to load up the first time i tried and I had full bars on LTE. Just guessing here since it looks like your signal is not as strong.
I tried wifi also still no success

Here is a list of things you can try to fix the timeout issue. Have you messed with time and date settings? Or daylight savings might have caused a sync error with google servers? Good luck
Ok here is the work around I found if you go to Google play music app info and un install the updates for it . Then go back to Google play store click music it works for me.

Lens Blur Effect Without 3rd Party App

Is it possible with the Note 3?
Also, is the S5 "Shot and More" camera mode been made available for our phone, or is that a hardware mode?

It's possible with the note 3. Just touch the area you want focused and it'll work.

Yes, you just need to keep trying until you get it working then know how your camera works. I can do it over and over all day long.

Floating calculator?

Is there a floating or split screen calculator on our phones? I needed to do some quick calculations with my browser open and I couldn't believe that there was no option for it.

When it's open, drag your finger from the top left of the screen towards the middle to show it in the pop up view

Samsung UK Pound symbol

For some reason since using the Samsung keyboard all symbols of the UK pound are depicted as a £ character when viewing on web pages or tapatalk etc. However, if I press the £ symbol within the Samsung browser it will show the correct UK pound symbol, but not in any other apps like Samsung messaging, WhatsApp, telegram etc..
Changing keyboard to UK doesn't help either.View attachment 4547146

(Sorry, just joking)
I can't see your picture. For me the pound icon looks like that £
And I can't remember it looked different some time.
Maybe you have selected a different font?
(I use German language and keyboard layout)

Don't be afraid to hit the "Thanks" button if someone helped you. It don't hurts
The pound symbols as seen in this post are as I always have seen them, what is wrong with yours? The image you submited can not be seen
