Thank you so much,it works on xt1710-08 well, just backup EFS in trwp just in case of no signal, after flash this rom in twrp, restore EFS and enjoy it.Also, you can root it with flashing magisk
So the 118-19-6 is good for the XT1710-01 Retail directly from Motorola?
I'm on the stock 118-9 version, Security Update of July 1st, and Android 7.1.1. No OTA update available when I check.
Are these 7.1.2 yet?
THANKS

The model number is XT1710-01.
Are the listed firmware versions proper for my model?

Dude, what did I just say? I DON'T KNOW.
I'm sure it will work, but it may take you off your official upgrade path.
And with no fastboot file available for your current software version, I would take a full TWRP backup and copy to pc for safekeeping before trying anything.

Noooo, please restore! I've been using the steps and files provided to get rid of the annoying "an update is available" notifications on my rooted XT1710-09!
And yesterday a new one has appeared...
Indeed please restore it can't hurt having it up here
We don't even have custom roms, this is the closest we can get for now. Please post more builds!

I'm going to buy my z2 play bike at the end of the year and it's a shame not to have an updated lite rom. Probably you should be doing a good job.
It would be nice to have a rom lite for ALL MODEL with deodex, delete more apps OTA / CCC / CCE, OTA process is deleted, remove a lot of the background services collect and send data on the type of phone (DropBox, MotoCare , MotoConntect, Drive and etc).

Updated the OP with the latest retail build NPSS26.118-19-11.
Unlike most carrier unlocked moto devices, which tend to have multiple upgrade paths for different regions, the albus seems to have only one upgrade path for the retail variant so far.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, and please post the OTA files for alternate upgrade paths if you have them; directions are in the OP.
I have linked the tools I use to create these at the bottom of the OP.
You can use these tools and info in their threads to reverse engineer the stock build and modify it to your liking.
Thank you so much now i can have the latest update for my rooted moto thanks a lot
I have an unlocked Moto Z2 Play XT1710-01 and this is the latest update I am seeing:
NPSS26.118-24-6
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IUG-o0HWCgFGyNwX3aWzd4oqhHAzK25T/view?usp=sharing
EDIT:
I think i now understand the file name structure and that it includes the date. My updated was from 6/26 and your updated was from 11/19. I just updated to the newest. Thank you for doing this!

The file name structure doesn't have anything to do with the date it was made afaik.
That update is for "albus_c" and not "albus". I'm not sure what the difference is.
Apparently, there are multiple upgrade paths after all.
Flashing this will likely take you off your current upgrade path, but it is safe, so you can always go back to your previous stock build if you want.

Thanks @Q9Nap!
I've attempted to follow your instructions about applying OTA via TWRP, but that fails because of mismatching thumbprint - which sounds odd since I've downloaded and attempted to flash on exactly the same device...
Anyway, I'll try soon to flash the full stock ROM, after download from the link you've re-posted.

We will reflash Magisk during installation.
Please follow given sequence of flash .. Rom - Decrypt - Magisk :good:

Please follow the steps as in first post.
You should have TWRP along with Stock rom which you have I believe.
Download the 3 files mentioned in first post - ROM + Decrypt + Magisk and keep them in storage.
Reboot to TWRP and flash files in below seqeunce -
Stock_X00T_Patch_May_Version_309_TWRP.zip
decrypt.zip
Magisk-v16.0.zip
Do not wipe anything in TWRP before or after installation .. do not uninstall Magisk or anything else.
Just flash the files are reboot.
Other than the changes to the update script, are there any other changes you have done? The script output in twrp says 'patching system image that is modified by ....."
So I am wondering if you made changes to the system.img file too?

No changes .. it is just for testing .. I have not created the entire ROM so I mentioned this is Guide section and not the ROM development section.
Also the new file I have updated has no such message but just a message to identify the ROM change. You must have the old version which was there on Sunday.

New zip name - Stock_X00T_Patch_May_Version_309_TWRP.zip
As already mentioned, the message was put just to let me know if the flashed file is changed one or original one from Asus.
I am taking Asus original rom and doing modification in update-script and if needed will make changes to boot.img (replacing with old boot image from Asus) and any other file to keep Magisk+TWRP to be working after update. I test the update for some time and then share it with all.
I will mention any substantial changes if any (for v309 no changes are there).
I have no intention to change what Asus has provided.
Purpose is to provide stock tested firmware for easy update at one stop .. and an easy way for people to come back to stock ROM.

You will get update notifications .. no issue. But the update will not flash if you have TWRP and Magisk.
I will provide TWRP flashable file (after testing) in this thead in future. So expect the update within 48 hrs after new update (full ROM for the OTA) is relased by Asus.
To flash OTA there is an excellant guide HERE you can follow that to flash OTA (i.e. delta file). In this thread you can get full file.

Hello
I would like to update my Honor 9 lite ordered a china
But It seemsthe OTA update does not work in France for this mode Yes or No ?
I just read almost every page of this thread but I must admit that I am not enough to succeed to make all these manipulations.
I managed to download 3 file of the latest update Huawei Firmware Finder.
I have 1 file (update.zip), 1 (update_data_full_public.zip) and another (update_full_LLD-L22A_hw_in.zip)
But now I do not know how to update the firmware with these 3 files.
Yes I am lost because I can not find a simple method to update my firmware.
I used the Huawei Firmware Finder Android application, but I can not start an update even though I downloaded the files as what by the proxi as advised or go through a DNS.
Yes I am a novice but I would like to successfully update this smartphone.
Thank you for your help and advice
Sorry for my english I am using Google translator

Its not that complicated even though it might seen tricky.
There are two ways to do this:
1)firmware finder(Android app)
You can use firmware finder's update through proxy or dns method.
But before you do that go to play store and search for "system update". In the result you can see the EMUI system update app. Click it and uninstall the updates.
Then open firmware finder(Android app) and go to the firmware you want to install. You can find dns method and proxy method there. DNS would be easier but both works.
Choose whichever you want. Select the auto mode for more ease of installing. Then check for updates from the settings app and you will hopefully find the update listed. Download it like normal OTA update and then it'll be installed.
Points to consider:
*This will only work with a locked bootloader and if it is unlocked relock it
*It's recommend to download only full updates as these will have less chance of failing
*Make sure that you only download approved firmwares otherwise the update will be abandoned after download (means you wasted your data for nothing)
*Choose which firmware to install carefully and try to stick with your varient as installing other varient's firmware may fail or cause bugs
2)Through HuRupdater
This is not recommended if you're not familiar with rooting or bootloader unlocks
If you don't have an unlock code then you cannot proceed as honor stopped giving bootloader unlock codes so if you don't have your code keep trying the first method
You can use the firmware finder for PC or Android.
Download all 3 files of the firmware (ONLY FULL OTAs)
Then unlock the bootloader(if not done yet)
Flash a twrp for our device
Then download HuRupdater
Follow the guidelines: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/tool-flash-official-firmware-recovery-t3769279
Long story short, you need to rename the three files to "update.zip" , "update_all_hw.zip" and "update_data_public.zip"
Then keep all three files and HuRupdater .zip in the same folder. Using TWRP flash the HurUpdater.zip file(not others)
After flashing is done relock the bootloader to recieve further OTA Updates.
Then you're all good to go.
Points to consider:
*Don't relock bootloader right after flashing. Boot up the phone and set it up. Check if everything is working and then only relock it.
*Keep recovery.img with the 3 files and HuRupdater.zip while flashing. Then after checking if everything is okay, flash the firmware again but this time delete the recovery.img
*Don't relock with TWRP installed because of possible risk of bricking.
So if you are familiar with the rooting procedures 2nd method might be good but you'll loose warranty.
I honestly recommend the 1st one as it has less risk involved.
But remember everything you do is at your own risk.
Anyways there is a thanks button below ?
Edit: hey I just noticed that you have an LLD-AL10 C675. So there's a new update B188. You can find it in firmware finder. It is approved and goes with your varient. Use the dns method. Refer above for details
Hello
I finally managed to update my Honor 9Lite
1 - You must remove all updates from EMUI
2 - Go in Huawei Firmware Finder find the right version for your Smartphone (I took a Fuul OTA 188. and check its compatibility
3 - Change your Internet Connection with Proxy Settings as requested by Firmware Finder
4 - Go to system settings and start checking for updates
An update will be found and it is good that you have selected in Firmware Finder.
5 - Start the update, when the download starts 1% pause it.
6 - Shut down the Wifi resume download with 4G.
7 - Once the download is done the update is done by itself do not interrupt it-
8 - The phone restarts and check that the update has gone well
For me everything went well
Thank you all for your advice :good::good::good:
Have a good day

Pixel platformOEM software redesigned to be closer towards Android's default interface with inspiration from Pixel
Huawei P Smart 2018 - FIG-LX1 Models supported C432 | C782 | C106
Pixel platform for the Huawei P Smart is a version of Huawei's EMUI based on Android 8.0 that has been modified to look and feel more like a pure Android/Pixel experience by:
replacing the default EMUI skin with a custom skin created by Livitech specifically for EMUI 8.0 that resembles Android 9.0
removing 98% of Huawei applications and replacing them with Google alternatives
Adding extra Google apps such as Wallpapers and Live wallpapers
Usually switching to a custom ROM to get a more pure Android or pixel like experience means sacrificing optimisations made by the manufacturer for your device ranging from display drivers to camera sensors, by building on top of the default OEM software all of this is kept:
The default Camera app so you don't miss a shot
Device specific features like double touch to turn screen on/off
Battery life settings tuned for your device

cool !! so how do we install this??
looks interesting ..gonna give it a shot ...just a question ..womt replacing stock gallery cause problems with intergrated camera functions
Hello! Could you please provide some install instructions? Can it be installed on a device that hasn't been unlocked yet. Thanks
the download is 2GB so I'm pretty certain it is a stock system.img file that you can flash with .img compatible recovery or with fastboot ...
you would need to be on stock ...unrooted ...i imagine if you are rooted you should flash stock boot.img and then flash system ..then reflash magisk if you want root ..
I'm just guessing here since I haven't downloaded it yet cos 2GB is big and I'm already on stock rooted that I modded myself using magisk & twrp ...
i think he too a stock system.img that he made the modifications he lists ..
problem is he should indicate build number and security patch so people can ensure they are on the same security patch EDIT HE LISTS JANUARY , radio ( baseband) , region , build number to avoid problems with imei or cellular reception or boot looping due to a newer version of stock rom installed ...
the OP doesn't say much though and his website looks a site where he sells IT services ...

Download EMUI Pixelized from bottom of website
www.livitech-development.co.uk/pixelized-platform-huawei
Flash file with TWRP
Bootloader must be unlocked
Models supported are C782, C432, C16B
No need to format or erase data as the TWRP zip file does it for you without deleting content on internal storage
Security patch ( Google ) is January 2019
Kernel security patches do not change as TWRP does not like the kernel IMG being flashed through a zip file otherwise I would have included an updated kernel as well.
The only two partitions on the phone changed are
/System
/Version
These two partitions do not cause any problems with basebands, region, IMEI numbers since the files and coding are in their own separate partitions

Could you take a screenshot of the:
Homescreen
App drawer
Lockscreen
Thanks, just want to confirm it is working as it should
The rooted problem is due to Huawei not giving the option to decrypt the phone in the settings
If I try with encrypted folders, everything doesn't install as it should

i'm looking into a way around the root issue
This software was ready 6 months ago under the name EMUI-Pixelized
The reason it was pulled/discontinued was because I created the software on the C782 model P smart so when flashed on another model
the Wallpaper would reset
Google apps would get removed
Pixel launcher would switch back to EMUI's launcher
Working with this user who had the C432 model for the first half of those 6 months we were able to find the files responsible for these compatibility issues, The second half of those 6 months, this user had been given 3 updates to update security patches ( all created from scratch ) and the compatibility issue is no longer anywhere to be found and is confirmed working for C782, C432 and my cousin has the C16B model which also works
If another model was to be added, in the past the software had to be recreated from scratch but certain modifications were made to allow new model support to only require a small change to one file ( other models apart from C782, C432 and C16B should still work anyway without needing to have official support added )

i've had a look into it, The device isn't actually rooted like I suspected ( I got a 2nd opinion ) the message pops up when the boot file has been modified ( even if decompiled and recompiled with no actual modifications )
The boot file is modified by the decrypt.zip file to prevent files on phone storage getting encrypted
When I was updating to a newer version of this software before or switching from full stock EMUI, all my folders and file would encrypt and become random letters and numbers making accessing them impossible
Currently looking into a way around this

Found the root issue and fixed it
Phone isn't actually rooted like I suspected
Huawei looks for a certain line of code in the /version partition
If this line is taken out then Huawei's services detect the phone as modified
Issue is no longer appearing and currently rebuilding the software with the fix intact

If I root this device to use titanium backup and root for apps like gsm battery - if i were to upgrade using samsung services, would this undo my root or lock my phone from future updates in some way?
Is it advised against updating if one were to root in the future?
Lastly why can't I call record?

I will try to answer....
First, IF you Root, one is Not able to do the OTA updates! ( Meaning, you will not be able to update the phone from within the devise)
Second one- The Hard Q to address - Only due to the fact that Everyone is Different. Everyone uses their phone differently. Plus, add in the fact that Samsung has stated, that the S20 FE will receive regular security updates and a few OS updates as well!! (When Purchased in January I has Android 10. A couple of weeks later, it was February, Samsung updated to Android 11. (Knowing later this year, if not next, we will be on Android 12, says something, about the devise!))
Now all that said, knowing XDA People, in time, we should be able to have Our beloved Root, as well as, Updates that come from Google and Samsung.....
I had to check my phone (recent update, things have changed a bit...) in my case, I no longer have call recording (stock) on the phone! It has disappeared!!!
if you don't mind downloading and manually flashing the latest update via Odin, keeping root would mean taking the boot.img (I think) from the tar file and patching it via magisk and then putting it back into the tar file and flashing the whole thing.

not available from here yet, you'd have to download the firmware from one of the Samsung firmware sites / apps. don't quote me on these names, Samfirm, Sammobile and Frija. and again don't quote me, do your own searches here to confirm but if you use the HOME_CSC file instead of the regional one your data won't be wiped.
you'd lose root if you didn't also patch the boot.img file and copy that back to tar archive.

you're confusing me now. so what's the order if I do want to update and keep root?
Root->magisk patch after its released for current upgrade (any eta on time after samsung releases)->upgrade?
my last Samsung was fully custom rom and I only ever flashed radio and bootloader, I got those from links in forums. I think firmware is pretty quick in being made available on these sites / apps but I've not used them myself.
so imagine your phone is already rooted (that first initial root is more involved as there's a data partition wipe), new firmware comes out.
* download that firmware
* open the archive tar of that firmware and copy boot.img file to your phone (I've only read this once so confirm I have the correct file name).
* from your phone install magisk v22
* open magisk and options for direct install will lead you to patching the boot.img
* when that's done, move the patched file back to your computer and replace the original version with the patched one. it might be handy to keep a copy of the unpatched file safe in case you need it one day.
* from your computer flash the contents of that tar archive, you'll need to read a proper guide for this, the correct files need to be assigned to the correct partitions in Odin (the flash app for Samsung) and the names aren't all obvious. also you need drivers for Odin too, and a good version that works for this phone.
* one of those files that needs to assigned is called the CSC file, that deals with the region your phone is going to be (put simply). if you use your phones correct CSC file for the region of firmware you downloaded the data partition will be wiped.
to avoid that you can use the HOME_CSC file and data will not be wiped. on your initial first root you will have to wipe though to make sure your storage is not encrypted.
* you really want to follow guides for everything you're doing for the first time, don't rely on previous experience. Samsung phones are different to Pixels etc. some guides are written as if you'll know half this stuff already, if you don't it doesn't hurt to ask someone.
lol, I haven't actually rooted my own phone yet. I'm waiting to borrow a laptop plus seeing how things develop with TWRP / mods / new procedures.
