Note 8 Sensors - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions and Answers

Hello ....
Today i got in service N950 with no sensor
No Iris Scan
No Gyro
No Compas
No proximity
I did: Hard reset - No fix
Full firmware flash ( odin, octopus, z3x ) - No fix
Repartition - Same... no fix
so ... is a HW problem.
Next - The chipset is the same like on the S8/ S8+ with modules ( All sensors are socket - easy to change )
But the question is: where should i start ? Could be an PM Ic problem ?
is strange for all the sensors to die in the same time.
Any Ideea ?!

P.S. The problem is on several devices ( S7, S7 Edge, S8 / S8 + )

I would contact the retailer and ask them for a replacement unit or to have it replaced. As there is probably an issue with the device they sold you.

I had de same issue. And yes, it was hardware problem. I have contacted Samsung Brazil and send my phone to them. They change it's motherboard . Use the Samsung Concierge service in Samsung Members app

samsung s5mini - duo - hw issue

Dear,
i have samsung s5mini duo + android 6.0. When i use tethering and both sim cards are inserted in the phone after few minutes one of the simcard got disabled (no signal) and i am not able to use (call/internet) second one. I have to restart the phone...
Is that know issue or its faulty device and i have to return it... ?

Razer Phone 2 No LTE Connection

Hey guys , just received my RP2 today and out the box i put my nano SIM in but i have no LTE connection at all ... Here a picture of the issue :
I've tried the dial solution [*#*#4636#*#*] but it not workedd ... APN options same .... disable adblocker vpn same ....
I've check the band for LTE connection for where i am ( France ) and its seems to be okay but no LTE anyway ...
Someone have the same problem ? The razer phone 1 had a lot of issues too with network but i've deal with them during 1 year ( it was hard ) but if the razer phone 2 i've take for replacement of the rp1 is worst ,i think my journey with razer is gonna end here ... dont have time for more research on basic smartphones function ...

does the settings pop up change the frequency?
Same problem here. It works on every Italian band (3,8,20) but sometimes (and it really depends on the tower, as the issue is geo-localized) it connects to the LTE network but it doesn't have connectivity (like you, the annoying X belove the signal).
This leads me to think that it is a carrier problem; nevertheless, so people that work for the carrier itself said that in Italy (and most likely across all Europe, so it applies to you as well) carriers have a list of well-known device manufacturer, LTE will work properly with them (as they are whitelisted) while won't work (correctly or at all) with "unknown" devices. You can easily tell that razer is not a "known" device for those carriers.
First of all, you need to disable VoLTE, both on the device and carrier side (if they have a whitelist for VoLTE as well, very likely). Then you can report us back. Maybe we can try to find a solution together.
Try manually inputting your APN settings
I've tried the hard reset , dial solution , VoltE , manual apn but the problem is still here ... Like u have said my device is labelled "unknow device " in my carrier portal , so maybe this is an unsolvable issue ? I need a working phone for my work so i ve send back the phone a few days ago and will replace him for a huawai mate 20 pro model . So i dont need anymore help for this now . Thanks for the help anyway and good luck for resolving this issue ^^ .

Note 8 - Motherboard replacement - Calling Problems - Everything Else Working

Hello,
So my original note 8 was N950F 256GB Dual SIM bought in 2017. It kept on working fine, until recently it started giving the problems in mentioned order
a. excessive battery drain
b. not being able to charge wired or wirelessly
c. complete blackout.
I went for a lookout of a replacement 256GB , and was able to find one on AliExpress, risky as it always is, i took my bets to order one after some correspondence from the seller who seemed legit and helpful.
Fast forward 22 days, I got the motherboard, installed in my existing body and housing, and voila it turned on and apparently seemed to be working fine. However i came to conclusion that it was originally a N950N (maybe Korea Dual SIM) motherboard which was flashed with the firmware/CSC/baseband for UAE reigon , maybe it was done by the seller knowing my location for ordering and the usage reigon. KNOX status was tipped as well, but it is not rooted as of now (maybe reverted to stock) , so all root sensitve applications (banking , netflix etc) do work as well.
The problem is, though everything works as intended. I am unable to place and receive voice calls reliably. Most of the time the outgoing call never gets placed on the network and drops after waiting for 8-10 seconds, and the incoming callers inform me that my mobile was out of reach for them to ring me.
I suspect it may have to do with the correct baseband not being compatible with local service providers.
Seeking expert help out here for the guidance , download location and the right combination of the firmware components to be used to bring the phone back to a reliable voice calling status to be used in KSA region

Hi i want to know that samsung a71 which model is sm-a715f/ds support mst?
I just researched your question there a bit and found out that it does indeed have the MST chip (the US version)
i disabled google service and now i cant see my storage ,after enabling everythng is ok ,my phone is samsung m01 rooted android ,i used an external app to do so ,how to disable it so that it dont cause any adverse affect
