is there a solution??? ... i think it's usb c port setting or somthing like driver or what?
Hi, unfortunately I have the same problem and experience with my XZ2C with locked bootloader and latest PIE fw *. 163 (CE1, Czech Republic).
I also did not find anything, what could help. I wiped and reflashed phone (PIE, Oreo), it was useless and waste of time.
I also noticed, that I'm not able to start the phone when connected to PC, it starts directly in flash mode (same as POWER + vol Down). And there is no graphics in this mode also... I think, I had to select something in the 'menu' with blue (?) background to be able to flash ROM previously...
Another 'great' update from Sony?
I hope they will fix it in next (bootloader) update.
I noticed that 2 days ago, when I restart it outside. I did not notice that before, probably because if I restart it, I usually do it at PC desk or in my bed with phone on charger...
No XZ2 user with the same experience?

I don't have this problem, but I recommend to get in touch with the Sony support and give them the logs the need.
I hope your device hardware is not faulty.

yes that's my problem when plug it in pc entre recover mode whitout touching anything and wont reboot until plug charger maybe it's software like boort or kernel something like that????
Unfortunately, the update *.202 did not change anything, still the same behavior.
But I experienced even bigger issue, three days ago, I was unable to charge the phone. When I connected USB cable, phone notified me the same way as when the charging really started (sound and "circles" on the screen), but it keeps discharging.
And the charging did not even start when the phone was turned off. It showed battery with percentage and... nothing.
Only reflash with newflasher helped for two days and then it happened again today. Once on *.163 and once on *.202 . Today it was even stranger, I selected "Power off" with 35 % and 1 hour later the phone was hot ("turned off") and it showed 6% after connected to charger, no charging.
After reflash and reboot (Vol Up + Power), the battery percentage flashes in one second like 20%, 0%, 6%, 0% and then it started charging as usual...
I wrote to Sony support today, so I am curious about the reply.
@MartinX3 Do you have any useful contacts with Sony developers, who could help, assist me or I could help them with diagnostic? I can imagine that the reply from local Czech Sony support would be "send it to repair center", but I am not sure, it helps to avoid the problem in the future.

The first thing they would say is "do a full wipe and test it with the newest firmware"

If a fullwipe and maybe a reinstallation of the latest firmware doesn't help, then it's high likely broken hardware.
@MartinX3 Can I wipe the phone "more fully" than using newflasher with user*.sin file or Xperia Companion's Software Repair/Restore ?
I remember I had similar problem with my HTC HD2 and full wipe helped, but that included flashing the HSPL (BIOS?), Magldr (bootloader) and then ROM.
But I don't think the bootloader of XZ2(c) is updated with every new "security patch level" update, is it?
Btw, the support reply was kinda useless as expected.
"... I had to use Xperia Companion to make it operational again....bla bla... Could you provide me a contact to the authorized person or developers, who could assist me and I could provide logs, dmesg?"
Reply: "You can try XPERIA Companion ...bla bla.... If it doesn't help, you can send it to service center..." Just general copy and paste text. :-/

Heyho!
I searched almost the whole day & web to find a solution for my problem, and you are my last instance.
My 1 day old Xperia T got into a Boot-Loop, and only the Sony-Logo shows up after starting the phone.
Previous procedure:
I installed the Sony PC Companion 2.1 and updated to 7.0.A.3.195, after this the phone went into the loop.
Now i can't flash any other software because USB-Debugging is off, and i didn't root the phone yet.
I tried to flash back to LT30p_7.0.A.1.303_Generic DE (found it here) but without Debugging = no flash.
Do you have any idea how i can flash or use any other FW without Debugging or Root?
Flashmode and Fastboot mode work in Xperia Flasher!
If you can stand loosing your data you could try a factory reset via recovery.
Info on how to access recovery menu is in the all-in-one thread.
If I helped, hit Thanks!

If you tried this via the official PCCompanion you could always take it back to the shop.
But i do suggest the following
1) Uninstalling pccomapnion
2) Redownload and install PCCompanion
3) Repair phone via PCComapnion. (You do not need USB debbuging for this)

I know what you mean, but when i plug in the USB-cable, the phone automatically turns on.
The menu is like this: SEARCH -> CONNECT (i plug in the cable) -> RECOGNITION -> at this point the phone is on for a few seconds
but it turns off and aborts the update!
This error appears: "PC Companion could not connect to the phone... please read the document troubleshooting".
But no point in this document helps me. There are only proposals like:
-use another USB port
- turn the phone off and on again
- Use another USB-cable
Seems like Sony bricked it with it's own software
Take it back to the shop then

Did you try :
while device is power ON
Volume Up + POWER (for 10 seconds) -> resets the battery, its like removing the battery and putting it back in [device will vibrate once]
Volume Up + POWER (for additional 5 seconds, total 15 seconds) -> will power off hard, device will power down [device will vibrate thrice]

You don't have to. You have to put the device in fastboot or flashmode which you reach by holding either vol-up or vol-down BEFORE respectively WHILE hooking the phone up to your pc.
But as greg said, undplug and completely power off your device and put it aside. Then start PC Companion and chose repair. PC Companion will then guide you through the steps necessary to get your phone to a state where it can be reflashed.
because it always restarts. There are only 2 modes: loop or off.

Not true, it does not restart by itself in either flashmode nor fastboot mode
As pointed out above, theres fastboot mode and flashmode which bypass the failing OS bootup

You obviously have no clue what a brick is. You have a bootlooping device which is nowhere near a brick. But that's probably a detail you're not interested in.
Try to follow the steps above to repair (=basically a full on, clean reflash in Sony vocabulary) your phone and get rid of the bootloop.
Hi guys.
first ever post in here!(because nearly all of the time i've found an answer here!! cheers!)
i've had exactly the same problem and been looking all over for a solution as i also have the boot loop problem occurring. tried the repair options in pc companion and also SUS. if i'm right the battery has to be above 50% to update and i'm pretty sure it's drained. i remember when flashing my htc one x when that was stuck in bootloop with low battery that to get enough battery I made a battery loop batch file which charged the device. however this was in fastboot mode and i don't think i have that option on my Xperia T. is there any way to charge the battery so as to attempt another repair?
Thanks in advance!

Just leave it plugged in. But i have used pccompanion when the battery has been as low as 10%.
I think you could try a hard reset. (Volume up and power button for 5-8 seconds, and then keep it pressed for a further20 seconds, untill it vibrates several times) Then try flashing a stock .303 file from the all in one thread via flashtool

tried the flashtool with the relevant ftf file but after an initial connection phase it kept bootlooping back out of 'connected mode'. however i left i (trial and error) and it did start to flash the ftf but initially it stopped around 40% then re-bootlooped. i messed around with vol- connection to usb and power plus vol+ shutdown method (which incidentally did not vibrate) serval times left it plugged in and each time it started but stopped flashing around 92-94% complete. having got frustrated i just thought what the hell and left it to attempt to charge overnight (i say attempt as this method never seemed to charge the device once i had this problem). Anyways i must've done something right (or not!:silly as i tried it again but today there must've been some charge applied as it flashed on the second attempt i tried (the first resulted in another aborted flash) it flashed my T no problem!:good:
thank you guys!
Glad it worked out for you.
But you activated USB-Debugging before your phone started looping right?

Press the power button and volume up for 10 -15 seconds.
it will vibrate once, that is like a restart
If you continue to hold for another 10 seconds it will vibrate 3 times. That is like pulling the battery.
Try turning it on after that

Have you flashed anything to the phone?
Have you rooted it?
Have you unlocked the bootloader?
If you dont know what these mean then you will not have done them.
Please plug the phone into the wall charger and leave it for a few hours then try the power and volume up button again. It is essential you leave the phone alone in this time.
Last question, when you press the power button and the phone is on charge does the red LED come on?

OK, try what I suggested. There may be other things that can be tried but if my phone behaved like that straight out of the box when I had not tampered with it I would take it back to the shop and demand a new one. Even we were to "fix" it via doing something on this site I would always be slightly worried I had a defective device.
Is it possible for you to return it?

What kind of shop is that? What country are you from? Thats terrible customer services!
Oh well, dont worry.
Have you installed PCCompanion on your PC? If not google it, download and install it. Also, look in the first thread in the development section for a thread called flashtool. Follow the links in that and download and install flashtool. We will need them if we are to save your phone. Also, they are good to have for pimping your phone later...

Last thing to try tonight
Download flashtool
Goto the installation folder and then into the driver folder.
Run flashtool drivers
Choose nx for ICS
tx driver
flashmode driver
fastboot driver
Then try again with pccomapnion.
If that does not work, download a stock FTF file from post 3 in the first thread of the Q&A section.Choose any file for the xperia t.
Open flashtool
Once downloaded, drag and drop the ftf file into the open window of flashtool.
When prompted attach the phone in flashmode (press volume down when attaching the usb cable)
Thats me for thenight now.
Let me know how it goes, but I wont be back untill the morning
[ STRIKE]Just to add one thing, before you try connecting it in flash mode, do power plus volume up till you get 3 vibrates. That way you know for sure your phone is off. If your phone isn't off it won't enter flashmode[/STRIKE]
Never mind, as Greg said I just didn't read good enough.

We already went through that, and he was not getting any vibrations.
After searching around I couldn't find anything related so here's my problem.
After succesfully unlocking the bootloader of my Xperia Z it continues to work fine.
It prompted the initial startup screen (enter language, account info ect.)
I turned my device off and on... this is where the problem starts..
This is what i get
Sony brand logo>
Xperia brand logo>
5 repeated cloud animation of xperia logo and at the last one it stalls, Phone reboot and back to 0.
This goes on repeatedly until a hard poweroff or complete discharge ( I suppose)
So I know im kinda screwed, is relocking the bootloader any option? Contacting Sony atm for some sort of software replacement/flash anything..
Cheers, Geert
Try the safe mode, keep pressing vol down with power until the phone boot completely.
If the phone boot to safe mode than do a factory reset.

Welcome to XDA
you should go to the recovery thread in my signature. Read the first 2 posts.
Hope you recover your phone.
Hi everyone !
I have the same problem as GeertNool. My Xperia is stuck in the same loop. I have tried everything.
- Flashboot : stuck at 0% when i try to flash
- Pc Companion and SEUS = dead ends
- Safe mode : cant make it work
I read the recovery thread. It seems that the Kernel is malfunctioning but i dont understand what should be my next move. Am i supposed to let the phone reboot endlessly untill eventually the battery dies ?
Thanks a lot for your precious answers.

Yes.
When the battery dies the phone should reset itself.
After the loops end plug into a charger, not pc for now.
You should get a red led indicating low battery level charging is working.
After the red led you may get Sony boot screen or bootloops.
If you get Sony and then the charging battery icon, then charge to over 50%. Then use pc companion or flashtool to restore.
If you get bootloops then read my 2nd post from the recovery thread in my signature for bootloop tricks.
Please let me know if it works. I am looking to add the Xperia Z to my recovery guide.
If there are any questions about my guide please ask in that thread.
Thanks

Try this: hold power and VolUp for about 15 seconds. The device should vibrate 3 times in a row. It should now be off. Don't plug it in anywhere.
Download the correct flashtool beta for xperia z http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2162907
Download a known-to-work firmware ftf
Put it into C:\Flashtool\Firmwares
Open flashtool (flashtool64 if you run 64bit Windows)
Chose Flash (flash arrow button)
Chose the ftf you downloaded
Enable "Wipe: Data, Cache, Appslog"
Click flash
A new window opens with a "press back button" animation
Now plug in the device while ONLY holding VolDown. Only VolDown, no Power. The LED should turn green.
Don't interrupt the flashing process. It will take a while.
Report back if it worked.

had the same problem and i managed to fix it just showing sony sign by installing the sony update programme on the sony update website
all you do is put phone into flashboot mode.
on mine i had to hold up and power button untill it vibrates 3 times then press down volume button to get it into flashboot mode
takes a few atempts but it worked.
takes around 20 mins to download then install another 10.
i couldnt get flashtool to flash firmware as my phone is locked on 3 mobile firmware locked bootloader
i hope this helps you
update:
schaggo method works. i can breath now. thanks to @gm007
This worked great for unbricking mine !!
P.S. don't waste time for Sony's Emma flash, they do not send login credentials in real time, site says they do manual user validation ...

I have the same issue here, the phone suddenly dead. Charge it using AC adaptor and wall socket and the red led flashs for about 2 hours, the orange LED never turns on. Try your advice and got this:
1) Vol up + Power not work (no vibration, nothing)
2) Flash with flashtool 0.9.10.2 beta6 with no lucky, indicated "device disconnected" after animation gone.
3) regress to flashtool 0.9.10.1, device connected and then stuck at "flashing data.....", the progress bar stay at 0% and then nothing.
P.S. bootloader is still locked but phone is ROOTED so I'm affraid it's out of warranty. Just got the phone as a birthday gift from my wife yesterday! She'd kill me if she knows that.
Update:
1) Power + Vol Up works now. The sequence does matter, I found I have to press the Power button first and then Vol Up, it dosen't work vise versa.
2) flashing still doesn't work for me. And I noticed that the LED turn green and then turn off immediately. I'm not sure if that is the cause. I'm sure when in fastboot mode (connect to USB port when pressing Vol Up), the LED turn blue and stay blue. Is my flash mode corrupted?? That's really bad!

Try sony update service or remove flashtool and install again and use another firmware(maybe the first one is corrupted).

Returning to stock
Hey guys,
I've flashed [ROM][JB 4.2.2][CM10.1][AOKP-MR1][PananoidAndroid 3.15] PAC v22.1.1 - Update: 0508 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2208249&page=65. It's working, but I'd like to try another ROM, specifically Xperia Z Revolution™ from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2175903. This requires to install stock 10.1.A.1.434 firstly So I downloaded C6603_10.1.A.1.434_Generic DE, NL, world. Flashing with Flashtools 0.9.10.1 always stucks at 0%.
BL unlocked. Does anyone have any idea how to get stock 434 in the phone? Originally there were older one 10.1.A.1.340, if it's somehow important to know...
so the other day i decided to root my phone it went all well i also installed CWM it also worked. so i also decided to install a custom rom i cant remember the rom since it was download to my phones memory. either way i delete everything cache dalvek etc.. after it installed through recovery menu it said it needed a reboot so i did, but when i rebooted it came to the sony logo. since then its been stuck in the sony logo until it runs out of battery i can't access anything it wont go pass that not even the recovery menu. i don't know what to do. ALSO MY COMPUTER WILL NOT DETECT WHEN I PLUG MY PHONE IN SO I CAN'T USE PCC, Flash tool or seus... any help?

I think what should be focused on first is getting juice back in that battery. Plug it in to the charger and let it sit for a few hours (like, at least 8 hours). It may boot loop but maybe it will still get some juice? (not sure about this..). Then you can try again to get into Flashmode. (Are you experienced in flashing stock FTF's with flashtool?)

Hi guys,
I'm wondering if anyone can shed any light on what to do next. I've got an 6903 Xperia Z1 (LB, not rooted, 4.4.2) that seems to be stuck in fastboot or flashmode, with no screen showing and only a red light (some of the time). I've read up everything I can on the boards and have charged it for 18 hours (twice) but to no avail.
Here's what happened:
I used a Chinese car charger that I probably put on upside down (which might mean it shorted the battery).
This put it in a reboot loop that went Sony --> Xperia --> blackness --> Sony etc
I flashed C6903_14.1.G.1.534_[NUT] (no exclusions) which put it in a Sony --> Sony reboot loop.
I then flashed C6903_14.3.A.0.681_Generic_Global-1277-2880_R5C which didn't make any difference.
I flashed C6903_14.1.G.1.534_[NUT] (excluding kernel, baseband - I don't know why) and this put it into black screen only mode (with some steady red LED sometimes).
I charged it for 18 hours.
From here I couldn't get it into flashmode or fastboot mode UNLESS I short the battery with the same charger.
Once I shorted the battery again I managed to get it into flashmode (permanently, I think) and do a "repair" on the Sony Bridge for Mac up to the latest android. It went fine, apparently, but unplugging it didn't allow it to be turned off or turned on again. It seems like now when it's plugged in it's always in flashmode (or I can put it in fastboot mode). I can flash whatever I want, it seems, but to no avail.
I have since flashed both the above FTFs.
Any suggestions for what to do next?
Thank you!
Press and hold both the power button and volume up button until it vibrates 3 times.
Then do a repair again.
Then throw that Chinese charger in the bin
then flash a 534 ftf, install dual recovery then flash the rom of your choice.

Thanks Greg - I've spent the last day trying to get my phone to respond again... no vibrations, no turning on or off. Just the red LED. Hmmm.
Leave it on charge for 24 goes and try again
