From Linage MicroG to Linage... Possible? - Galaxy Tab S2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I've currently the Lineage MicroG images on my Galaxy Tab S2 but i'm not happy with the way it does (not) work with apps (some not working because of missing/old replacements of the google services). So my question is: Is it possible just to flash Lineage image over the existing Lineage MicroG, wiping the cache and it will work?

Meanewile, i've made a backup and do a clean install, so the thread can be closed.

How to update lineage os with xposed?

I wanted to know if I have to uninstall xposed before updating the lineage os
I have an xperia z sgp311 lineage os 14.1
Actually, the ROM update might wipe out Xposed depending on how it handles /system. Uninstalling Xposed may not be necessary but it is a good idea to disable all modules though. Just to limit potential problems on new boot.
Check this thread and @MariferC's updated addon.d script. It might actually preserve Xposed so one wouldn't have to uninstall or reinstall it.
EDIT: @novatosuper, I am so sorry. I thought I pasted the thread when I posted.
Once again, my apologies.

I just update my LineageOS 14.1 ROM, then I reflash SuperSU and Xposed Framework zips and after I reboot everything is usually fine.
This method has worked for me for multiple LineageOS ROM updates.

It is worth to upgrade from stock to Lineage OS 15.1?

Title is self-explanatory.
Define "worth it?" Does 15.1 have features you want that aren't available on stock Nougat? Do you want to get rid of Samsung's "bloatware?" Do you always want to be on the latest Android version? Are you willing to live with possible OS issues that don't exist with the stock ROM?
Only you can answer these questions. I am on stock Nougat and am thinking about LineageOS 15.1 but I'm having a hard time justifying the move since my stock S2 does everything I need it to do.
Good luck!
For me to a buy a device, Lineage has to be available. It's the reason I bought the T813, when the Tab S3 was out. Jumping from stock to Lineage 14.1 is no question. Going to Lineage 15.1, well, tougher choice, but I'd still do it. Only reason I say that is not as much stuff as been ported into 15.1, it's missing features that 14.1 had. It works fine, just realize they're only on the second official release. It does boot quicker than 14.1. The biggest selling point to Lineage for me is the Privacy Guard, being able to select which apps can do what, and what apps can have access to data (data access has not been ported into 15.1 yet).
You have some control over this stuff in the stock system, but not to the degree of Lineage, want to block an app from your contacts, running in the background, your location, your camera, running at startup, etc, you can do all of that.
You can always go back to stock if you don't like Lineage, so I don't really see the downside to trying it out.

Custom ROM, Magisk, Xposed, MicroG T813: Nougat or Oreo?

Hello all,
I recently got me a Tab S2 9.7, T813.
I want to install a Custom ROM:
At least Nougat, with Magisk, with XPosed, without GAPPS, with MicroG.
This already runs well on my Oneplus One.
I took Nougat because I already know the system from the OPO.
I have trouble finding good Nougat Custom ROMs, Resurrection Remix (also on OPO) would have been my favourite, but it does not boot.
I took OMNI Nougat instead.
Using this combination (Magisk, Xposed, MicroG, not GPAPPS), should I go to Oreo instead, as there are more Custom ROMS?

best google-FREE rom for z3c?

i've heard LineageOS is google-free (no google), is it the only choice?
for other roms, can i simply remove the google software and install microG instead?
(i'm on eXistenZ, tried remove all google apps, few microG apps couldn't be installed)
good camera is also high priority.
I am using curently CarbonROM with NanoDroid and it works absolutly fine. I have also tried nailyks OmniRom witch also seems to work togerther with NanoDroid like expected. Both Roms come without google stuff by default.
The Camera quality is as good as can be with an unlocked boodloader i guess.

How to Install LineageOS + microG on Samsung Galaxy Note 9

Hi. So here's what I need to do. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 9(Qualcomm processor), and I'd like to install LineageOS with microG OS on it, whether it means installing the base version, signature spoofing, then installing microG, or using the prebuilt version with microG included. Either way, while I do have experience with computers, Linux, and the terminal, I have zero experience in the world of smartphone modifications and customizations, so quite a bit of handholding may be needed. Thank you. I would not say no to rooting the phone in the process.
TL;DR:
I need to install LineageOS + microG on a Note 9, and if possible, root the phone.
I have no experience in modding phones.
