Random notification - Nokia 7 Plus Questions & Answers

I have a problem with my phone nokia u plus 1046. My phone has a random rings but nothing showing on display. Sometimes it heppend one hour before my alarm. Has anyone have a solution. NFC is turned off. Thanks for help and sorry for my bad english

Do you have previous missed call or message notification at that time.

I had this and the issue with me was down to ambient display believe it or not.
If you look in Display ->Advanced -> Ambient Display -> New notifications. This is set to periodically so will carry on reminding you until you open it. If you change it to once only then it may sort it.

How to stop vibrate pulse on reset/power on.

I usually have my phones on a scheduled soft reset in the middle of the night. I put it face down so the light wouldn't wake me but the Kaiser(Qualcomm) does a vibrate pulse as if I needed that... Anyone know how to disable that?

i wanna to know the answer too....

There is a software, but I think a registry tweak will be easier:
Code:
Hkey_Local_Machine/Drivers/Builtin/AllLEDMgr
Change the "Index" value from 1 to 0
Soft-reset the device
Killing the vibrate isn't a feature, it's a consequence in this case.
And, it's not killing the vibrate on reset/power on.
I think this is something on the chipset level that can only be resolved by a altered ROM or "chipset" update from Qualcomm...??
stop vibrate at every soft-reset
Has someone been able to stop the vibrate starting at every soft-reset ?
I prefer to think of it more as a shudder whilst yawning as it wakes up
How to reduce the vibration time period ?
When I put my PPC in vibration mode and a remind alarm arrives, my PPC is vibrating for a TOO much long time ! I just want it to make, 1 short vibration , how do configure the PPC to do that ?

Surely this must be a hardware issue which can't be changed?
I've change my ROM and radio more times than i can remember and still have the same issue. Correct me if i'm wrong but don't some of these ROM bases even come from different WM hardware (which doesn't have this problem)?
I don't think the vibration duration is linked with the hardware, there must be a way to configure this, as it is possible to configure the ringtone to increase the sound or not.
Anyone has already tried changing the vibration duration ?

There's 2 ways you can put your phone into vibration mode:
1: tap the speaker icon on the top bar of the phone and select "vibrate" from the on, vibrate, off options.
2: tap the speaker icon on the top bar and leave it set to "on", but drag the two volume sliders to the bottom.
If you use method #1, when you get a notification it will give you 3 short bursts of vibration.
If you use method #2, the duration of vibration for reminders and other notifications (email, sms, etc.) is related to the length of the audio alert. I have my phone set to make noise and vibrate at the same time and when I get a message, it vibrates for the entire time that it's making noise, and not a bit longer. When I drag the volume sliders down instead of putting it exclusively into "vibrate" it vibrates for the same amount of time, so I imagine it is still playing the sound file I have associated for that notification, just not outputting it to the speaker, and vibrates while the sound file is playing.
So if you want a shorter vibration when your alarm arrives, choose a shorter beep, tone, jingle, whatever sound you want it to make when you get an alarm. Or use option #1 for putting it into vibration mode if the 3 short bursts are acceptable to you.
The vibrate upon startup is some low level thing, and I have no idea how to change it.

No text alerts (sound nor vibration)

No vibration and no sound when receiving texts. The only way to know without turning on the screen is by watching the notification light. I have installed other apps that manage the vibration and what not but I don't want those. They use RAM that the D3 doesn't have plenty of, and the timing gets all off - i feel a vibration... then 30 seconds later the message shows up... then 10 seconds later the sound goes off... it's just a mess. I want to be able to use the native system. Does anyone know how to fix this?
And yes - I have checked in the messaging app for the vibration settings.

[Q] Notification LED and Ear detection when on call not available?

I dont really like active notifications since it seems to suck up a little more battery than i want. anyway regardless of battery drain or not, for someone who does not want active notifications, does this phone have any LED notifications when you have a message?
also, on my older android phone, when i am on call the phone screen will automatically turn on if i move the phone away from my ear and look at he screen (eg. to press tone keypad for automated machines or voicemail). The moto x doesnt do that, it stays off, is there a way to fix this?
thanks,

1. No this phone doesn't have an LED

SMS vibration when do not disturb is on

I've had this happen with two SMS apps and I want to stop it from happening.
When do not disturb is on, incoming SMS makes my phone vibrate and continues to vibrate no matter what.
Is there a setting that I'm missing that controls this?
Thank you!

Was the screen on, when you got SMS or screen was off and it vibrated? Basically I remember my Pixel 2 some other phones too have/had a setting under do not disturb do this when screen is off and do that when screen is on...check it. Yesterday my DND was enabled and I did receive a call on Whatsapp which rang. Before the call, my screen was still on that is why, it rang.

This happens in the middle of the night when I know my screen should be off. I'm thoroughly perplexed.

All notifications are not consistent.

I've set them active and they don't make any audible notifications vibrations, sometimes.
It's making me crazy.
Anyone else?
i've also noticed this. wasn't sure if it was just me. not sure if i should be glad someone else is having the issue. i'm not having the sound play or getting the vibration. wonder if it's sleeping too deeply or what.
after using it a few more days, i've noticed that there are also times when i get a vibration but no sound, even though i don't have it on silent.
I've been scouring the internet and have made a post on the Google Pixel Phone Help Forum. Perhaps people who're facing the same problem here can upvote it so we can get to the bottom of this?

So far, I've tried:
1. Booting in Safe Mode in case it was an app that was causing these problems (I was suspecting Blockda, the AdBlocker, but that wasn't it).
2. Going into the notifications menu and making sure each and every app had notifications enabled.
3. Toggling battery saver mode on and off.
When I turned on Notifications History, I saw that Push Notifications were being logged there, they just weren't making it to the status bar and aren't making sound for whatever reason.
Hmmm, interesting topic. I received my 4a 5G today and I noticed that I did not receive my Gmail notifications at all or delayed. Strange, haven't had such issues with any other phones.
