Why there isn't any kernel for stock rom? I am using havoc rom right now and noticed that custom roms have better battery backup and screen on time.
Can we get such battery life on stock roms?

I am currently on Galnet MIUI 1.12.3. But somehow battery life got worse over the last few MIUI versions, so I decided to go back to stock.
Which Rom has the best battery lifetime and best camera quality? 720p recording with MIUI was quite choppy.
Also, do I have to flash back a stock kernel? It would be great if I could keep or switch to a kernel that still supports UV.
Which is the best prerooted Rom at the moment?
How would I flash back to a stock rom? Just flash the new rom via CWM?

i am on RR5.8.0 ROM. which kernel should i use for BETTER BATTERY and also PERFORMANCE?
Hello
I am interested in moving onto one of the none EMUI custom roms.
Which of the roms has best battery? I have read that RR has poor battery. Do the other AOSP roms also have this problem?
I would recquire the ROM to be stable in terms of daily use.
Thanks.
I have a new note 8 N950F (exynos) and would really want to root it and install a custom rom. There are many roms to choose from so my question is which is the best rom for battery life and which kernel?
Also, if i just root are there kernels that work on stock for battery life improvement?
