Downgrade help - Honor Play Questions & Answers

I'm currently on 8.2.0.141, which is buggy(battery drain). I want to downgrade to. 125 or. 132 or. 135. I figured out that dload method on play recognises sd/dload/update_sd.zip file (instead of extracting update.zip into UPDATE.APP). Though it gives me Software incompatible with Current Version error. Someone help me with this.

You can't downgrade using that method, try using HiSuite on a PC or Laptop.

Yeah , but HiSuite didn't show me downgrade option while I was on EMUI 8 , I think it shows for those who are on EMUI 9.

i dont think you can downgrade the an earlier version of 8.0 only from 9.0 to 8.0. The latest 8.0 is fine for me maybe upgrade to 9.0 if you can then downgrade to the latest version of 8.0?

If your phone is a COR-L29 don't update. We don't have performance mode in battery settings. Hisuite doesn't show a rollback option for it also

Screenshot what OS version you're running.

On 9.0.0.156 cor l29
Had battery drain and reset, using batery save mode and turned off auto brightness.
Have found Accu battery extremely helpful and giving full picture of everything.
Overlay on Pro/paid version gives cpu/power usage.

Hi, thank you for the quick responses.
Attached is the requested screenshot.
IMEI is edited out as per the norm.
I'm thinking of factory resetting the phone but I'm not sure if it would do any good.
Thank you.

Nice try man! Ok, did you try to update b311 using ffinder, or just with beta program? Now, I see that they remove beta b311 from ffinder...
Also, just keep it in mind that Emui 8 change some partitions including recovery sectors. So, we dont have Twrp for emui 8 for our models, and its big posibillity to stuck on some beta emui 8 lets say Al00C00 without any chance to rollback to Emui 5 and destroy partitions, brick your phone trying that. Just wait for custom recovery for Emui 8 for Kirin 658, after that u can do some experiments ?
Regards.

new tests.
Too bad, I tried DC-Phoenix V50 with 15 credits.
to install b331-log, after having restarted the installation 4 or 5 times, he finished installing it completely. I wonder how dc-phoenix can create a new partition.
and that on xda, there is no dev that could create an equivallent toolkit.
But, the p9 lite remains on a black screen, the volume and power buttons do not respond anymore.
no led lights up. But it still remains recognized in fastboot mode.
so, I can always go back to a clean device.

Can someone confirm if it is working. I would like to try emui 9 and come back xD
Sent from my BLA-L29 using Tapatalk
The app doesn't show "switch to another version" option
why?
You have another version of phone/firmware.
Has anyone tried it? Any success? Does this method require DNS change or not? I'm stuck with EMUI 9.0.0.47 beta after doing factory reset so eRecovery doesn't see previous and next EMUI versions.

I've the same problem.
Doesnt work with BLA-L29C432.
I successfully manage to downgrade from EMUI 9 to 8 (C150) using HiSuite ( 5.0.2.301 ) + FunkyHuawei downgrade firmware: (Downgrade from EMUI9 to EMUI 8 BLA-L29 8.0.0.150(C432).
It was the only method that worked me.
If you are unlocked you can use HWOTA to downgrade back.
Just a note for anyone stuck.
HWOTA didnt work for me sadly

Thanks for trying to help me ! Sadly the bat stays stuck at waiting for device after I reboot in TWRP.
EDIT: Modified the bat so it begins now where I was stuck and it seemed to have done the trick. Will report if it worked !
Thanks for all the help Pretoriano80, managed to finally make it back. Had to fiddle with some things, erecovery kept whining till I fed it a SIM card (don't really know why but whatever-). The only thing remaining is I want to relock my bootloader, but did not succeed to get a "LOCKED" status instead of "RELOCKED". Need it in case I need to take my phone to the service center one day, do you know how to solve this one without using DC Unlocker ?

can this be done with booloader locked??

Device loaded different software

Hey everyone,
I'm using the Huawei Mate 20 Lite (C432 version)
I was running EMUI 9.1 and was trying to install EMUI 10 with the dload method with SD card. I used the 10.0.170 C432 firmware wich I found on androidhost.ru
The installation was succesfull, but now, when I boot the phone, I only shows a screen what says "your device had loaded a different software"
I tried everything, nothing works to restore the phone...
Had anyone got any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone. I'm very disappointed at 10.1 update with camera results specially at nigh mode.. Yesterday night I roaled back to 10.0.0.175 version. I tested night mode on. Same scenario and there wasnt so much noise at 10.1 version... So I want to return at 10.0.0.185 or 180 update witch was best update for camera.. The problem is that version isn't available on huwawei pc suite.. I'm not rooted any solutions?
Thnk you all

Ok, but why you didn`t roll back from 10.0.0.175 down to 9.1.0.x? When you press "Upgrade" in the HiSuite, there is an option "Other versions", you choose it, and there is a possibility to downgrade the FW. You downgrade step-by-step to 9.1.0.x, then start to uograde to 10.0.x.x. and stop when you find the suitable FW.

In this case, I do not know, maybe now the upgrade plan is different from the previous one, maybe they have now excluded some intermediate versions of FW ...

On the first step you have to downgrade to 10.0.0.175 via HiSuite, then you will be able to flash the 10.0.0.185, using this method ("HOW TO flash dload FW: ... UPGRADE USING OTG ADAPTER or OTG CABLE + USB MEMORY STICK")
