I seem to be plagued by the ubiquitous Smart Lock failure issue. I tried all the regular fixes and to no avail. I'm totally disabled everything Smart Lock related and just use my fingerprint to open the phone. I'm hoping and waiting for the update in to Pie to resolve this issue. Anybody have any other hints or suggestions?

Hi, after using my droid 3 for less than a week, I turned it on one time, and it bypassed the lock screen. I see it for a split second, then it goes away w/out me doing anything. This is not good, like if it turns on in my pocket, I'll be doing who know what on my phone... please help as soon as you can. Thanks!
Same issue with mine. I can generally get it to bypass the lockscreen on purpose if I do something weird, like unlock it right after I open the keyboard or play with the volume buttons.
Mine did this so I did a factory reset and I've not had that issue again since. Its been a week.

Does anyone know how to fix w/out a factory reset?
I fixed the problem by changing the value of the Security Lock Timer in Settings > Location & Security
This morning when I woke up I noticed my phone required my pattern lock which means at some point during the night it rebooted. After unlocking I realized my home button was completely unresponsive. Recents and back button work fine.
I've found a lot of information about this issue for the Oneplus 2 and tried some of those suggestions but they haven't worked so far. If I dial *#808# and choose Finger print test it says "The application cannot reach the android service for the sensor"
Has anyone had a similar problem and does anybody have any ideas how to fix it? I've read that factory resetting the phone has fixed similar issues but I wanted to try everything else first.
Btw I'm on stock OOS 3.5.3, unrooted, no modifications.

Have you tried rebooting again to see if that fixes it?

Yes I've tried rebooting and even system resetting. I just spoke with OnePlus and they said it sounds like a hardware issue and they will cover it under the warranty.
Here lately sometimes when I unlock my phone with the fingerprint scanner my phone opens up to the camera or the clock?
I'm having the same issue. I'd assume it's a bug introduced with the latest security update.

It doesn't happen every time but at least 2 to 3 times a day.
I'm ruining Android 9.
After recent updates, it will keep turninh on Auto Sync. I have to turn it off many times a day. Reboot before, still the same.
Anyone can help?
Mine is doing the same thing and get very annoying. Have you figured out why it does it?

Auto sync turns on automatically
Facing the same issue on my poco f1 after some recent updates. I thought it was a bug in my phone. turns out, many are facing the same issue when i asked around. Why??
My Note 9 was recently upgraded to Pie and I'm having all sorts of weird issues like the screen flickering during calls and notifications sticking around after having been dismissed.
Is there any way I can reflash the update, or will a factory reset fix this?

Factory reset should fix it. Just make sure you backup with smartswitch.
For anyone who might be experiencing the same issues and found this thread, I actually figured it out - in the developer options, setting the animation scales to 0 causes these issues. I bumped them each up to 0.5 and am no longer experiencing the two issues above.
