The screen of the mobile phone is getting bigger and bigger, people enjoy the visual benefits brought by the big screen, but the troubles of inconvenient operation also follow. In fact, there is a versatile "small white point" that makes it easier to operate a mobile phone with one hand, that is navigation dock.
How to enable navigation dock on the mate 20 Pro?
Go to settings > System > System Navigation > Navigation dock, turn on the navigation dock switch.

Introduction to navigation dock operations:
Back to the previous: Touch the navigation dock ball.
Back to the home screen: Long press the navigation ball and release.
View recent tasks: Long press the navigation dock ball and swipe left or right.
Change position: Press and hold the navigation dock ball to drag to the convenient position.
Good, written in great detail!

It's about time all of our favorite phones had something fun, and very slightly useful.
I'm not sure how hard it would be to write an App, that acts as an etch-a-sketch. What really gave me this inspiration was i was sent a picture of an etch-a-sketched picture and said to myself man if i had one i would send a better picture right back!
Also shake the TP for more than 2 seconds and BAM your picture is erased, cool huh?
since there are no knobs on the TP the keys could be as i have added in the picture. If anyone is willing to take this on, I believe it would be a very good addition to Raphael software!

Or you could use the touch pad on either side of the dpad for controls by doing circular motions. The bottom touchpad actually allows multi-touch, so you could do both at the same time. The Home/Call side could be for vertical control and the Back/End for horizontal.
You could also use the G-Sensor, allowing the person to tilt the phone around to move the cursor.
well we don't want to use the g-sensors too much so it can be shaken clear
ya use capacitive area or just the scroll wheel then keys for other knob
either way its a cool idea
Happy to share the result of my hard work over the past few months. Edge Launcher (previously known as Edge Quick Actions) is a fast gesture launcher and app switcher that you can access from the edge of your screen anytime.

Edge Launcher allows you to access more than a dozen quick settings and toggles, switch between recent apps very fast and open your favorite apps. All of this is done with one single touch, without lifting your finger from the screen (there is also an option to open it with a quick swipe from the edge of the screen).
This is a major update from the previous version, with card UI and nice animations, as well as material design for the app settings. I'm also working to add more functionality such as adding contacts, shortcuts and theming support!

Happy to hear your thoughts and feedback. Thanks!
I'm one of the few people who almost always holds the phone in landscape orientation; even when talking on the phone with Bluetooth... especially, with the large high-res screen of the Note 9. I'm able to do this with One UI (and also the older launcher on Oreo)... however, I'd like to try others with more customizations.
The first launcher I tried was Nova Prime. To my surprise, it now has an arbitrary limitation which does NOT allow having the dock at the bottom of the screen in Landscape mode... even if there's room for it. Instead, it puts the dock at the right edge of the screen... which looks really bad IMO. I used to be able to do this with Nova launcher, even on my old Note 4. Not anymore.. I've already confirmed this limitation with other Nova users who use a Note 9.
For those of you that are using 3rd party launchers (other than Nova), I'm curious if you could please confirm that you get the dock at the bottom of your landscape screen ...like the screenshot below. I'm thinking about Action Launcher.

Hello,
I just bought an Oppo Find X3 Pro and I am very happy with it.
On the other hand, the screen being really large I have difficulty accessing the upper edges of the screen.
On my old Honor 8, there was a "one-handed operation" function which was activated by simply sliding on the navigation bar.
But I couldn't find anything like it on the Oppo and not all apps I tried work.
Do you have a solution for easy one-handed operation?
I even tried the "One Handed Mode"
Android 12 is adding a native one-handed mode
Android 12 will be adding a native one-handed mode, which will work just like Apple's Reachability feature. Read on to know more!

I managed to install it but when I run it I get the following message:

Thank you in advance for your assistance,
Ptitsnake.
If you pull down the notifications drawer and pull down once more to reveal more quick access features, you'll also be able to edit the list you currently have by pressing the square with a pen in the middle. There you'll be able to find the One-Handed Mode quick access button. Simply drag it up into your quick access icons and you're good to go.
Ooh... Thank you so easy
the best would be to be able to associate it with a shorten or a key combination

since updating to MIUI 14 this button and panel showed up and I can't for the life of me find a way to disable it
it's there with all keyboards, not just the default
it doesn't show up if I hide the gesture help line panel at the bottom but then I miss the quicker appswitching functionality that it has
and the home screen gets an annoying gap as well

You use a Stable Beta, possible bug.

thanks for your quick reply
I had no idea it was beta, haven't signed up for any pre release pilot program or testing of any sort
oh well, hopefully they'll fix it if it is indeed a bug
Well, I'm also getting those annoying exit keyboard button. I just enable the hide full screen gesture indicator and the button is gone.
