How to get back default boot animation? - Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact Questions & Answers

I installed Liveboot but don't like it. When I select "Uninstall - removes boot script from device" from the control menu, the app closes but no changes are made, it still shows the text at startup. I haven't tried uninstalling the app yet. How can I get ride of the changes Liveboot made?

Installed Magisk and now home button and menu button (left) doesn't work

I just installed magisk through the magisk manager app and it went just fine, but now when I've rebooted my home and menu buttons aren't working. I get the vibration response but no action. the menu key does bring up manus in apps but it doesn't do what it did before installing Magisk... Can I reset the buttons functionality somehow? I'm running LineageOS 14.1 on a Redmi Note 4. Please help!
his is an Android issue.
Step instructions:
- Download Nova Launcher. If you cannot from the google play store, search for it on Chrome and download an apk version
- Install it (you may get a pop up advising you need to let apps installed from chrome, go to settings and allow it)
- Once installed, click on Open. This should launch the Nova Launcher
- Long press anywhere on the screen
- Choose Widgets.
- Look for the Activities widget and hold and place it anywhere on the screen.
- Scroll down to Setup Wizard. There's two, one that's "Setup Wizard" and the other "SetupWizard" without a space. Choose the first. There should be an option under it called ".SetupWizardUpgradeActivity". It might be slightly different for you pending the version OS you have but that's what came up for me.
- Select that to create the widget shortcut then click to open.
- This will bring you to the setup wizard and then just click Next all the way through (turn off any preferences you may have in the past)
You can uninstall Nova Launcher afterwards if you want. You don't need to set it as default.
Can I use this for a noname android car head unit? What is the
custom recovery that I could use?

Changed Magisk, now stuck on startup splash

This morning Pokemon Go stopped working on my phone. I found this which said to use the "Hide Magisk Manager" option from within Magisks Settings page, and then delete the MagiskManager folder from the SD card. I did that, restarted my phone, and Go started working again. Oddly though, Chrome wouldn't work, and kept crashing with "Unfortunately, Chrome has stopped." (whether I was actively trying to use it or not). Off of a fresh restart I could open chrome, but if I tried to load any webpages it would stay loading forever.
To try and fix that, I went back into Magisk and hit the "Restore Magisk Manager" option, and restarted my phone. Now, my phone won't boot -- it gets stuck loading on the splash screen. I seem to only be digging myself a deeper and deeper hole with each thing I do. How do I get my phone back up and running?
I'm running the latest RR (I think it's 6.1.0?)
Flash the Magisk uninstaller from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/ap...v7-universal-systemless-t3473445/post68966662
You should then be back to an unrooted state.

Have you tried reflashing your Rom?
Also, what did you expect to Halen with magisk, after you have decided to delete it's manager folder?

Repackaging and restoring the Magisk Manager should not have anything to do with the issues you started experiencing. If you can get your device up an running again (as already suggested, uninstalling Magisk might be a good way), could you recreate the problem and grab a logcat when Chrome crashes and when the phone get's stuck on boot.

Deleting the MagiskManager folder from the internal storage is harmless. It's just used to store downloaded Magisk zips, module zips and saved logs. It'll be recreated when needed. Pokemon Go have started to detect this folder and use it as a sign of a rooted device. Deleting it is one way of getting PoGo running again.
I'm trying to keep myself in SuperSU, is easier and compatible with almost any app, I know that development stopped. But I feel that Magisk is a great tool but can be complicated.
First try using your computer to create a file without a name and with disable_.magisk as an extension.
Kinda like. disable_magisk
And use TWRP to copy this to /cache.
See if it boots up.
Hello I have the same problem unauthorized_device_lockout

Hi i found a fix, you just need to reflash magisk patched boot.img from your phone(hope you backed it up) and the system.img / custom os (i didnt even have to wipe my data) lol

Installed App is unavailable and shown as PENDING in the "All Apps" menu

After a hanging reboot (OS -> reboot -> black screen -> 1min delay -> Vibration signalling boot up) I find some apps as greyed out in the Start Menu (e.g. Shazam, LINE, etc)
I soft-resetted it by booting again, but no Change to that.
Removing These apps and installing from store is NOT an Option because These apps Aren't available there any more!
How to restore These apps, any ideas?
My System is SAMSUNG ATIV S with latest OS 10.0.15254.603

Hide Magisk Manager Not Working

Hey, I'm asking for help because I'm rooted on an ROG Phone 3 Tencent on WW ROM rooted but whenever I try to hide the manager, when it repackages it has the default app icon and says I have to download the full manager. After a few seconds this then closes and a notice pops up saying to relaunch which results in the same.
I've tried setting app perms before hiding, flashing Magisk again after install but I can't get it working.
I'm trying to do this because with Barclays I'm getting Error 0006 which I have assumed is down to the manager, I have the props config and the TWRP folder was deleted.
Thanks for any help!
Edit: Seems to be working though I can't think of anything I've changed since so I've no idea what caused it.

Hide Magisk failed

Hello,
I tried hiding Magisk App, selected "hide" and then it produced a new app named "Settings" but the old app "Magisk" still remained
If i open "Magisk" now, it shows "super root access denied for Magisk".
If I open "Settings", nothing happens.
Any idea how I could resolve this and how it can be cleaned (without wipe..)?

Today i had the same problem downgrading magisk to use magisk hide. I resolved it by: flashing in twrp Uninstaller_magisk.zip (Google it), and then installing older version of magisk in twrp.
Also search if you have an app "settings" if you renemed like this, and not "magisk". After running "settings" it will ask to update, select yes and then it should work (at least this happens to me).
I can't open magisk nor the renamed verion. Both are installed parallel for some reason. After opening the renamed one root is gone. I tried locking/unlocking bootloader and flash-all.bat. I can't even get rid of it when clean flashing via https://flash.android.com/.
This is a serious problem.

As written, the "Settings" app does not launch at all and the original app shows no root anymore.
However what I could do is the following:
Uninstall the Magisk app and "Settings App" and afterwarts install apk of magisk app.
Then it was like always (showing I'm rooted).
However Hiding the app still does not work and the same issue appears again.,..
The working solution is to allow "USB Debugging" in "Developer options", and additionally by Xiaomi, turn off "MIUI Optimization".
