Lock preffered bluetooth audio codec. - Huawei P20 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi y'all!
I have a bluetooth-receiver for my headphones that is able to use Huaweis own audiocodec HWA. The problem with HWA is that the audio quality is crap. Other codecs like APTX HD, LDAC, AAC etc works fine. My issue is that either the phone or the receiver uses HWA as the preffered codec and each time I reconnect the receiver it reverts back to HWA. Is there a way to set a preffered codec and lock it to that?

Streaming audio over bluetooth

Hi,
Is there a list of BT protocols and codecs somewhere that the P9 supports?
thanks
I don't know, but there are zero problems with listening flac files with stock player over BT to my Pioneer multimedia in my car.
ps - calls are perfect, contacts are sync too
Mine works perfect with my iTrip Aux Bluetooth, it's gadget that allows you to connect your phone via bluetooth to the aux in your radio.

My P9 works OK with my BT headphones streaming music.
Its just that my headphones are aptX enabled, so I wanted to know if P9 can stream aptX. But I have since found out that aptX is a proprietary codec and Huawei does not have the licence to use it.
So I suppose the music I hear must be the BT standard A2DP protocol with SBC codec.

How do you enable bluetooth audio codec "aac" on note 5 without a custom rom?

How do you enable bluetooth audio codec "aac" on note 5 without a custom rom?
Hello guys,
I have a Note 5 and want to listen to music via my Bose QC 35 II. As these headphones only support SBC, which is quite basic and the slightly better AAC codec, no Aptx streaming is possible. It is sad that the good sounding aptx is not available, so i wanted to get the best out of it and try to listen with the aac codec. Unfortunately, it is only possible to manually change the bluetooth codec in Android Oreo. Is there a way be it an additional app or similar actions to manipulate the bluetooth audio codec even in Android Nougat?
Thanks in advance*

aptx HD support and stereo audio is not work (please help me how to install )

I have a WH-CH700N Aptx-HD BT set from Sony. Worx fine out of the box (can see in the Sony Headphone app)
No need to install / configure in the OS
WH-CH700N supports SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD
Perhaps you need to install the app from the manufacturer. It is recommended for the sony
which BT headset do you have?
Meizu ep51 but sterio sarround not working

Hi, looks like it supports AptX but not Aptx-HD:

If stereo is not working, then something else might be wrong.
Does a wired version work normally?
You might want to check your BT set on an other phone / tablet

Fixing AAC in AOSP Roms

I'm trying to use my Bose QC35s which support SBC and AAC, with Pixel Experience. However, AAC never seems to work, even though my QC35s used to work fine in MIUI and on iOS. Thus,
1. Can you force my headphones to use SBC only, without having to switch the AAC toggle everytime you connect (I'm using tasker to do this, but it's still tedious) Is there a possible buildprop solution?
2. Install/ flash a fix so that AAC works without playback stuttering.
Thanks!
