Factory Mode on Cricket e5 Cruise? - Moto E5 Questions & Answers

Anybody able to get into Factory Mode on Cricket e5 Cruise?
I press volume down and power to get into fastboot mode. Then I toggle the volume buttons to select Factory Mode, then press the power button. But it just reboots the phone.
I needed Factor Mode to do a remote sim unlock.

i know it's an old post but i know the answer of your question. if you can see android logo or commserver has started message on mobile screen. it means you are in factory mode. if you are not getting this please hard reset your device.

Turn your phone off. If you want to enter recovery mode, hold the home button plus volume up plus power button. Keep them pressed until the screen comes on. Wait for two more seconds and then let go. To enter download mode press the home button plus volume down plus power button. You should see an android with a warning sign appear on the screen.
There's no way to exit download mode, but if you are not flashing anything, it's safe to turn the phone off by pulling the battery despite what it says on the screen.

[Q] Does anyone know the key combination of entering recovery mode?

Okay ours is a bit weird. With phone off hold power and volume down. When lg logo appears release power and press again. It'll bring up confirmation dialog on a factory reset. Ignore that and hit yes both times. It'll bring up a screen saying authorizing factory reset and then after a moment will boot into your custom recovery. Enjoy

Can't boot to recovery because of hardware control mode

Hello all, a friend of mine is having some trouble getting into recovery, holding the key combos then letting go of power and then pressing it again, blah blah blah but it always boots into hardware control mode with no options to boot into recovery, we've tried several key combos with varying speed and no matter what we do it goes into that mode. It seems that other people have had this problem.... the device is on stock 4.4 and is rooted and the freedom flex app with TWRP installed, booting into recovery from android works fine and recovery is booting properly from there, any help is greatly appreciated
thanks

All I have to do is hold down the power + volume down and it goes straight into recovery mode. Have you tried pressing and holding volume down+power until logo appears then press and hold again? The only other solution is using adb.

Press volume Down+power as long as you see the logo. Released both buttons and immediately press again..
If that's not working the after the logo press Volume Up or Volume up+volume down...

Locked Phone

My daughters Motorola X 2nd Gen (XT1095) seems to be locked. When you touch the screen all that shows is the time and a padlock. If you try and slide the padlock up, down or to the left or right the date shows at the top and the battery shows but it will not proceed.
Can anyone tell me what may be happening and how to fix it?
Thanks
I would first hold down the power until it turns off. It sounds like a restart is in order

Restarted it several times, results are the same, still locked.
Sorry to hear that. I didn't see it in your post so I started with square one troubleshooting.
How about rebooting to recovery and trying to wipe the cache?

Sorry, should have said that. How do I boot into recovery and wipe cache?
Thanks
1. Power off the phone
2. Hold volume down and press the power button
3. Press volume down until you get to the word recovery then press volume up
4. When the little android is laying down, press the power button and tap volume up.
5. Use volume down to get to wipe cache partition and press power

Did all that and still same, I noticed that when it comes up in the boot mode (holding down the vol button) that one of the items listed says "Device is LOCKED. Status Code: 0

That just means the bootloader is locked. It has nothing to do with the problem you're having. Try a factory reset if wiping caches didn't work.

Get the phone to the bootloader. Open a cmd on your computer and type MFASTBOOT ERASE USERDATA. that'll factory reset it for you.

MOTO G (Titan) stuck on Boot Mode selection menu <resolved>

Hi,
I tried to switch on my moto g2 in recovery using the power and vol button. Now I am stuck in the Boot selection menu. Clicking the vol button does not scroll the menu nor clicking the power button select an option. I have tried to reboot the phone using power and (vol down, vol up and also vol up and down combination) but nothing works.
adb devices also does not detect my phone.
Please let me know what to do. The only option I have is to let the phone poweroff on its one and then try to start it.
Did you google for it? I also had problems getting my Moto G3 into recovery mode. It wasn't intuitive, much more a tricky combination of buttons and timing.

Yes... it wasn't a problem getting into recovery. The volumn button did not allow me to toggle between options. It was just hung up and all the combinations did not allow me to reboot. What I did was just let the phone run of battery and was able to login again.
Hi Friend
I am also facing same issue and my mobile is also staying in Boot Mode Selection Menu. I am not able to proceed further as any option m selecting with volume up button nothing is happening its throughing Error msg as below.
