I just received the December Security patch for my Verizon Note 9 (N960U) but since Verizon likes to not give ANY fuc#ing information about their updates I haven't noticed any changes, I'll keep looking. Maybe someone else discover something...

I am thinking of getting a Honoor 9 Lite to toy with. Before I commit, I am curious to know how frequent does the phone gets security patch? I know Huawei was talking about being more active in releasing security patches, but I don't know if it really did happen with Honor.

I saw it on multiple forums that Oreo update will come after this patch.
New update means after 2 months....?

If they go straight to P, I wouldn't mind skipping Oreo entirely.
I got it a couple of days ago in Spain.
Everything working fine...
BUT the swipe left to Google stream. It just doesn't work. It 'lights' the side but nothing happens.
Anybody else?
It works well in my case.

Does anyone have the build number for the retus version of the March security patch update? I think my phone (XT1806) isn't getting OTA updates

It should be NPSS26.116-48-12 according to the lenovo forums.

I just got mine last night. Showed up as NPSS26.116-45-12
Might be me misremembering but the last retus patch seemed to take longer to rollout to the US compared to other countries, hopefully they are ramping up the pace of things. Now where is that Oreo...
Thanks, I ended up flashing NPSS26.116-45-12 using the full firmware (https : / / rsdsecure-cloud.motorola.com/download/SANDERS_NPSS26.116-45-12_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip) and I'm up-to-date and device is showing as certified (was showing as uncertified in the play store before). Hopefully that means I'll be able to receive OTAs again.

Already received October update on MiA1 and MiA2, given that these two devices already receive late updates, Nokia claims themselves to be fast on providing updates, but they haven't provided October patch yet, while all major manufacturers are doing it.
October security patch fixes a major security flaw in the framework that lets hacker execute codes on your phone remotely.

October patch is not out yet.
I am already on Pie, but it's buggy as hell.
I suspect that they are working on a stable Pie update for rest of the world and at the same time trying to fix the bugs, but they are too late at that.

The same build is rolling out for everyone. Bugfixes will be included in security patches.
This device is still on the September security patch which was rolled out just before October ended. No signs of October security update yet. Is anyone else also getting annoyed at this situation?
I for one only purchased the device looking at the Android One tag and the 5000mah battery.
They have Android One and monthly security updates promise plastered all over their product page and yet are not bothered to even update an Android One device.
Isn't this Google's job to make sure Android One partners provide timely security updates?
Xiaomi gets a lot of flak here on XDA for not updating their devices to the latest OS but they are atleast providing timely security patches to their Android One devices. Motorola here is not bothered to even update their Android One device.
Can we get someone from the XDA team to do an article regarding this? That way more people will know the real state of affairs regarding this device before purchasing it.
I have a Motorola Edge Plus. It's September and I'm still on Junes Security Patch. Motorola 2nd tier support is telling me June's Security Patch is the latest update. How are they getting away with this?? That's a flat out lie. They said that Android hasn't given them an update. Huh???
Well I saw this thread and began checking the last update on my phone, a so-called brand new m32. I clearly remember the last update was dated November of 2021. Guess what, there was a new update just waiting to be downloaded.
