Hi, so I tried flashing the combination file for the Note 8 and tried to flash it with Odin from Stable to the Latest Version
However, I been experiencing this issue where Odin for some reason cannot set a connection to my phone despite it being in download mode.

This Note 8 I have is from T-Mobile that is running the N950USQU4CRF3 build and Odin's I tried are from 3.10.7 to 3.13.1.
i have same issue. did you find a solution
Your firmware you loaded into Odin is most likely not the correct firmware. In Odin when you clink on BL, AP, CP, CSC make sure you are not copying and pasting the items into the boxes. Double click on BL and it will do a file search . Add the corresponding files to each of the BL, AP, CP, CSC . You will see that it loaded different on the leftside of Odin when you do it that way.
Most likely you are getting the BL, AP, CP, CSC from the wrong firmware set. Make sure you are using the firmware that matches your phone . An Unlocked Firmware or A Carrier Specific Firmware that doesnt have the exact same corresponding firmware didnt work for me.
N950USQU4CRF3 - Is what your phone was running already? ANy variation of N950USQ4CRF from original can cause that. Instead of tryign a different Odin try downloading a different Firmware.
Hope that hleps. That is what I did to get my phone to work

Hi so about a week ago I flashed the 2.3.3 gingerbread bootloaders and stock gingerbread rom using this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1045734
Then I flashed GR-11, then Continuum v5.3, and then Perception II Beta 3. Then I decided to flash back to stock 2.1 using Odin one click. But now I want to flash the 2.3.3 bootloaders and gingerbread stock rom again by using the same method (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1045734), but now everytime i try to reflash them, it fails.
this is what odin says specifically: <ID:0/004> Added!!

Can anyone help? I tried searching for this but could not find it so sorry if there is another thread about this :\

Yes I did that I followed the directions from the link exactly. Am i supposed to pull out the sim card or something?
Just wondering - did you have the phone in download mode?
When i had it plugged into odin, yeah. My phone doesnt have the 3 button fix so i had to use adb reboot download and then i disconnected it and opened odin and plugged it back in. Should i just use my jig to put it into download mode instead of using adb because that could interrupt it or something?
Switch usb ports on your pc, make sure it's on the back connected to the motherboard, not a front port our a hub.
I tried that too with no luck :'(
Hi all. Well, i have a Samsung Galaxy S3 mini (i8200), wich it was given to me to fix it.
I want to clarify that i don't know how did the phone came into this state, i mean, i don't know if the user tried to flash a new rom or what, the thing is that the phone, right now, when i turn ON, it gets stuck on Samsung logo.
I can only enter the download mode.
I can't enter Recovery mode
I've tryed so many things. I've tryed to flash the stock rom (downloaded from Sammobile) with ODIN, but it always shows this error:

(I've tryed with differents Odin versions, 3.04, 3.07 , 3.09 , also with different USB ports, and a different PC)
I add a quote i read:
The Problem: Sometimes when you flash a ROM (TouchWiz or AOSP), there is a risk of the /system and /data partitions not wiping correctly thus leading them to be formatted with R/O permissions rather than R/W. This makes it impossible for the phone to boot up because no data can be written. Not even a typical ODIN flash back to stock or rooted stock will fix this. Using CWM to flash another ROM will yield the same no boot results. Furthermore, the stock recovery will not work and it becomes impossible to perform a factory reset. Sound frustrating? It is.
So, i read also, that a pit file its supposed to fix my issue ( this rewrites the PIT tables with the proper permissions).
I get the pit file, and i tried... the results:

Im looking for some help, i need help to fix this, im sure im missing something. What can i do?
Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem.
I installed several ROM. Finally, I wanted to go back to the Stock ROM and I could not. Error in the memory. Odin stops in the middle of the wash and the phone oběvují different red numbers. He gets into Download Mode, but it does not install it. or I do not get Recavery. I found a tutorial on repairing large S3, but I need my stuff on S3 Mini (GT-I8190). If someone finds something, or would even help it would have been nice. Thank you.

Hello,
I had the exact same problem,
messed with R W permissions,
So you should try Heimdall,
I managed to read my PIT file, so it is somehow alive,
but could'nt write a new PIT file on the phone,
I stopped searching and ended buying an old (but working) motherboard for my phone.
But you should really continue, and give it a try.
Hi there, I'm trying to flash my Galaxy S3 mini GT-I18190 with an official ROM which was downloaded from SAMMOBILE. My phone isn't carrier locked or anything like that. I have installed the drivers necessary and I'm using the original USB Cable. The Error I'm getting is as follows:

What can I do to solve my issue?
ROM: I8190XXAMC1_I8190OJVAMC3_HOME.tar.md5
ODIN: I tried Odin3_v3.04, Odin_v3.09, Odin3_v3.11.1

Hello,
I faced this problem last night when trying to flash an official S3 rom via Odin, I used Samsmobile to download the firmware. I kept getting the same error as you with the dreadful red 'FAIL' notification. However, I managed to overcome this issue by using Odin v 3.10 with the right firmware (stupidly, I had downloaded the firmware for the wrong variant, the i8190 as opposed to the i8190n). Furthermore, I also flashed the appropriate PIT file to my device along with the firmware (the only reason I did this was because it was mentioned as a possible solution in many threads). Also, I made sure there was no trace of Kies on my computer before connecting my device and flashing.

Hi there, If you don't mind can you please send me links to the files you used (the firmware and the PIT file)?

That's where I downloaded the firmware, the first one (I8190NXXAMB1). Note that it's for the N variant in my country (UK) and my network provider (EE), I downloaded the PIT file off XDA on a thread I found, I cannot for the life of me remember where it is now. However, it's on my computer at home, so if possible, I'll upload it to this thread when I get back. Keep me updated on how you get on pal.
So I'm trying to root my SM-G925I on 6.0.1 using Auto-Root and Odin. I got the right file, the latest odin. Put my phone into download, it registers on odin. Load it on AP and hit start. Then, I get this

EDIT: Now it gets stuck at "Get PIT for mapping..."
Probably because you aren't suppose to use any version of Odin for the S6 except "Odin3_v3.10.6"

Hmmm...Just tried with that version and it gets stuck on Get PIT for Mapping. Any other suggestions? Thanks.
Thanks! It worked when I switched computer.
Hi,
I got myself a Samsung Galaxy SM-T900.
it originally would boot up into GREY battery icon and then apparently switch off although I could see the backlight was dimly on.
( So may have battery or USB charging port problems as well)
It was reporting a custom rom state so I thought I would put it back to stock and actually managed to flash it with Odin 3.10 ( which worked i.e. reported GREEN)
Rom file is T900XXSBPL3_T900OXABOH4_HOME.tar.md5 from Sam Mobile.
Although I got a GREEN light from Odin.... on tablet boot up, the tablet reported " Firmware upgrade encountered an issue...……….in Kies and try again"
Kies (2.6) would not connect to the tablet, nor could I do an emergency firmware recovery as no device comes up in the device list.
So I decided to reflash the stock rom with Odin 3.10 which was a bad move. For some unknown reason it stopped flashing at about halfway.
So I restarted the flash and now always get stuck on

Hi,
Could someone please point me to the PIT file for this SM-T900 UK ROM i.e. BTU
T900XXSBPL3_T900OXABOH4_HOME.tar.md5 from SamMobile for SM-T900
I suspect its in there, but I think I may have corrupted my partitions, so need a PIT file...… I think?
Thanks
