Recently I have been on a quest to try to make my phone look similar to the Google Pixel 3XL since I love Samsung hardware and Stock Pixel software. Also this is a Knox and warranty friendly method aswell so no rooting is required. (Screenshots at the bottom of the post)
Here is a guide on how to make probably any phone look like the Pixel 3XL with links and steps.
Apps required:
- Substratum (free)
- Andromeda ($1.99)
- Flux/Flux White ($1.45 each)
- Google Product Sans font (free)
- Clock Tweaks for O (free)
- Google apps to replace the stock ones
- CPL (Customized Pixel Launcher) (free)
- Navigation Gestures by xda (free)
- Pixel Icons ($1.60)
- Pixel wallpapers 18 (free)
*All the links for these can be found under each step*
Step 1 (Launcher):
The launcher is probably the easiest thing to get. I have tried most of the launchers available on the Play Store and this one is just the best out of them all. No problems nor bugs and with a little bit of tweaking you can make it look just like the stock pixel launcher.
CPL: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.whatau.cpl (Free)
Step 2 (Icons):
For the icon pack you have two options. There are free ones that work just fine but the paid one's icons are more accurate to the stock Pixel ones.
I have got a combination of both pre-installed icons and some from the Pixel Icons app.
Pixel Icons: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pixelflow.apps.pixelicons (Paid)
Step 3 (Wallpaper):
Instal the Pixel wallpapers 18 apk for the stock Pixel wallpapers (for me most of these don’t work but some do – app crashes)
Pixel Wallpapers: https://www.xda-developers.com/download-google-pixel-3-live-wallpapers-port/ (Free)
Step 4 (Google Apps):
You can find most Google apps as apks from the link below but one on particular needs a certain apk and that is the Google Camera. Someone has ported it for Exynos variant of the Note and here is the link for it:
Google Camera: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-8/themes/google-camera-hdr-portrait-t3730325 (Free)

Step 5 (Theme engine):
To get the almost full Pixel experience on your Android device you need Substratum (and Andromeda in case you are not rooted). The app is pretty simple to use but they have no use without the themes.
Substratum: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=projekt.substratum (Free)
Andromeda: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=projekt.andromeda (Paid)
Step 5.1 (Theme):
You can choose between Light and Dark with either Flux or Flux white. They include some notes inside the tabs to let you know what and what to not do.
Flux: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=flux.substratum.theme (Paid)
Flux White: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=flux.white.substratum (Paid)
Step 5.2 (Nav bar):
In the Flux options you have the Google Pixel Pie navbar but as you know on the real one if you swipe up it brings the recent apps menu. To get that feature you have to download Navigation Gestures by xda and make the bar a small transparent pill that only works if you swipe up from it
Navigation Gestures: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xda.nobar (Free/Paid)
Step 5.3 (Font):
With the Substratum app you can also get the new Google Product Sans font and many other more with this simple app (additional info and instructions are found in the link below):
Google Product Sans: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8+/themes/fonts-wings-samsung-fonts-1200-root-t3710688 (Free)
Step 6 (Clock mod):
Last but not least is the left clock mod. Its at simple as the title says, it moves your clock from the right side of the status bar to the left and it can be accesed from the substratum app.
Left Clock: https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/themes-apps/mod-center-left-clock-o-t3614824 (Free)

Make sure that all the apps are compatible with your device (I have all these on my note 8 so for any other device it might not be different). For any questions or problems I'm more than happy to answer them. These are mostly all the steps I did to receive my look but ofcourse, you can tweak as you wish.
If you found this guide helpful any feedback is much appreciated and if any of these materials are not allowed I am willing to edit the post (I am new to posting here)!
I had been using hd widgets for my weather and clock widgets. Everything was working fine until my note 9 upgraded to pie. Now the clock won't update after the screen turns off. If I reboot the widget won't load until I remove it and create it again. Anybody else having compatibility issues with their note 9 after the pie update. Mine is the N960U1 model.
If you check the google play entry and reviews it mentions issues folks have on pie
Thanks. I missed that
Xposed modules? Magisk modules? Apks to install? How whould I be able to get the aosp AoD on this thing. I'm guessing it is near impossible and would require just flashing the Pixel Experience BUT OneUI has tons of features I am not willing to give up. I just want those silhouettes on the AoD from Pixel wallpapers.
I don't know if it comes with the new firmware update or march Google Play update but Google's Gboard offers me know the dynamic color option in the settings.
