What cpu does your MXQ have, you might be able to install openELEC which is basically super light linux with kodi added onto it or i found an android tv rom you could try link is here https://forum.xda-developers.com/an.../rom-atvxperience-ultimate-androidtv-t3808053
Check out the freaktab forum as they have a ton of roms for these boxes.

Thanks for your reply!
I have s905

I found LibreELEC which is a updated version of OpenELEC the link is here https://forum.libreelec.tv/thread/14116-libreelec-9-0-builds-for-s905-semi-official/
Here is another link where I found a bunch of Android TV ROMs https://forum.freaktab.com/forum/tv...players/s905/others-ac/firmware-roms-tools-bj

Your going to have to crack the case open to get the info on the board to match the right rom. Dozens of clones unfortunately. Just ensure you match it to the pics most post with these ROM dumps.
Google the following. Good luck.

Yeah I had an s805 box and I couldn't flash LibreELEC and bricked my box so i had to look for a firmware file and only one would work sadly there are tons of mxq box clones so not any firmware will work. However you could check the wifi chip on the board it should be a realtek chip and to disassemble it its usually 4 screws underneath 4 feet on the box

[Help] Porting Razr I CWM/TWRP to Acer Liquid C1

Iam sorry if my post out of topic here.
I dont want to be rude by PM any devs here, so I just ask here.
I sold my xperia mini, and choose something new and unique.
Acer Liquid C1, relatively cheap for me as a student.
Its pack an intel z2420 chipset, nearly same like Razr I.
The bad news is this phone only sold in asia.
So, currently no development so far until now.
I have got a hand on an OTA update file, and decrypted it.
Its a JB update, stock boot.img and recovery.img dumped.
Any developers here can help me to make a working custom recovery?
I cant sync CM repo because of connectivity problems.
And my old notebook powered by amd and nvidia, seems cant get along nicely with linux os until now.
I will upload my stock boot.img and recovery.img, if thats needed.
Maybe if there is a working recovery, more developments available.
So sad to see a phone quickly disappear in market, because of no development goes on.
Thank you
lol

We even tried (see my github), got contacted by someone and we tried to get it working. But there is no chance. Your bootloader is locked so no hope with a custom thingy.

It is just an lower case L, l. But because the i is in capital letters: I, i made it uppcer case so the difference was greater.

[Q] How to root my version of the s3 mini?

Hi i think the threads in general is becoming way more a jungle to me than actually help
So I'm trying to find out which file or exploit i can use to get my phone rooted.
My model:
GT-I8190N
Base Band:
I8190NXXAMG1
And its European / Scandinavia version of the phone.
Any that have been in same boat that can guide me in right direction? or people that actually have the files to get it rooted for my exact model & version?
Thanks guys.
Try here. If doesn't work search better & it doesn't seems a jungle, don't be lazy.

Thanks for the quick answer and the quick judgement as well i assume, i already tried that trick and it did not work for me, perhaps i did something wrong but 2 times in a row and failed each i moved on with my search, iv tried for months to get it open ever since there was this tool on the forum where you could donate so he could add newer versions for support in his tool, now i cant really remember what name or the tool of it but, he suddenly became inactive or something. I guess I'm just stock on this ****ty rom, might as well just trash it and buy another phone.

Latest Android release

Seeing specifications like this one: "6.0.1_r35 is more recent than 6.0.1_r43" I am a little bit confused, because I am trying to think logically that the version history goes from the 35 to 43, from small to big number, but ... I saw that maybe I am wrong, because of the updates in Github.
Could someone to indicate a link where to find the most recent version/release of Android? I mean not links like this one https://source.android.com/source/build-numbers.html or this one https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#sojus, because I am interested in the most recent ... modified / updated -ish kind of version (I suppose is Github, but I really don't know how to find it.
Thanks to all that could help.
Maybe I don't understand the question but the Google link is the place for that. Last one listed is the newest version. Well, in the case of this month the last two depending on the carrier.

https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/ota#shamu has the latest stock image which is MOB30I (Marshmallow)

Hi, thanks, but I already know from those link what are the latest Google versions.
The question came from what I saw in the Pure Nexus changelog. If you read it you will see that the owner says . "Update: to latest aosp source 6.0.1_r25(newer than r43)" That confused me.

Look here, it's newest to the oldest:
https://android.googlesource.com/platform/build/
Then choose any tag or branch, click on "core/build_id.mk", and you'll find the correspoding BUILD_ID.
E.g. on the "android-6.0.1_r25" tag it's "export BUILD_ID=MTC19T"

MIUI Global ROM for Oneplus 3T?

Hello,
I am new to this forum and got my OP3t updated with Chinese version of MIUI with help of this forum. but i don't like it. i like MIUI the most in androids.
is there any chances of availability of MIUI global ROM sooner?
What other OS do you suggest i should try for simplicity and best performance?

I don't think that will be happening anytime soon..
That is something that I have been looking for as well but to no vail..
So far there are three Roms.. right now I am downloading the third one which is taking like forever.
I will let you know how it is.
When it will be outdated?

This is something weird. MIUI ROM is available for outdated mobiles and not keeping it self with latest models? It's very good chance for MIUI to take over the legacy system of Android with new flavour as i found most people loving it. I hope they will lunch soon before the OP3T model also become outdated and i change it with something else..

Yeah, you are right..
I actually have been looking at the possibility of porting the Global myself.
The closest phone that matches OP3T specs is the Mi 5s Plus.. so porting it should be fairly easy for Rom developers.

Hi. Did you do a port or did you build from stock ROM?
I have a oneplus 3t and i have worked on miui patchrom in the past with another device and couldn't get it to boot.
I may try and attempt porting for oneplus 3t, i guess the options are to either port from Mi 5s Plus ROM or use patchrom from stock Oneplus rom.
I didn't use patch rom. I tried to port it following someone's instructions but I couldn't figure out why it keep failing.

I did have a flushable build but I think my updater script was what was causing the problem. I needed the phone to be working at all times so I had to leave the project unfinished.
I will try to look up the instructions and will post here.
