Hi I was wondering if anyone had an idea how to fix my Internet speed on my phone, currently 0.07 mbps with full reception
I am on three mobile UK, they tell me to contact huawei and huawei tell me to contact three mobile...
It happens multiple times per day sometimes when I'm running other apps other times when I've got nothing else running. Airplane mode and restarting the phone doesn't seem to fix it.
Thanks for looking.
I've similar issues with my Indian honor play. Even with 50MBPS wifi internet sometimes the speed gets very very slow. Haven't found a solution yet either.
I am also facing this. I have 50 Mbps stable WiFi.
Are you definitely not on wifi?
Hi, definitely not on WiFi. I make sure it's switched off. I usually close all other apps down to try and fix it, which you shouldn't really have to do with a new phone with these specs anyway..
Happens probably a few times per day for roughly half hour each time..
Seeing as other people are experiencing the same, I think that rules out it being a problem with 3mobile network.

Has anyone else had trouble with loading web pages occassionally on T-Mobile's data connection?
Every once in awhile, web pages simply won't load, and I get the "This Page Cannot Be Displayed" error. It seems like I have to close all my tabs and then open a page to get it working again. This "glitch" or whatever it is, doesn't happen on WiFi, but has happened numerous times on the data connection.
Is this happening to anyone else??? It's like T-Mobile is trying to throttle the connection or something... I haven't used THAT much data

I have noticed this too, but when I look I usually have dropped to Edge from 3G. I think it has more to do with the 3G signal than the device itself. Possibly issues with your location the construction of the building you are in overhead fluorescent light, all of those might factor into the dropping signal. Just a theory.
I was pulling some CRAZY download speeds on mobile speed test website.
I was actually getting 25 Mb down consistently... With a 7 Mb sample size and about 5 different tests on 3G! The phone was blazing fast at the time too.
When I got home on wifi my speeds were back to normal - around 9 Mb.
I wonder if they were doing some network upgrades in Princeton NJ today?
Pretty crazy, and while it may have been the speed test was whacky, I really don't think it could've have been wrong on that many separate tests.
Anyway, that's my input. I think data has been good.

Yea, speed is no issue. I get 9 or 10 Mbps download speeds regularly. The problem is as I described, once in a while pages simply refuse to load, and I basically have to restart the browser. You have never experienced that? Thanks to the other user for your feedback, that might be true about it switching from 3G to Edge, I'll try to pay attention to that the next time it happens.
yeah, i got the issue you mentioned earlier this afternoon. hitting the refresh button doesn't seem to help either.
On several occasions, I've struggled to get a decent data connection, despite there being an apparent signal. Turning the data off and back on again in settings->mobile network has fixed it, but it is frustrating.

Yep. well it's good to know that others are experiencing it. I don't believe it is a problem with T-Mobile's network, since my old WinMo phone worked just fine. I wonder if people on ATT have this issue, cause I would say it is something that needs to be fixed in Windows Phone in general. I'll post the question in their Samsung Focus forums.
I usually do not have any problems with the data on my device.
But one thing I have noticed that is happening frequently on my phone was... It gets stuck in 'G' (which I think is GPRS, worst than Edge). After a bit of analysis, I have realized, that when I get into and out of a tunnel (I take a subway to work), at times, my device does not get the 3G and stuck in G.
But once I reboot the phone, I am back to full signal.
Again, this DOES NOT always happen. Only once in a while.
On the whole I am actually VERY HAPPY with the data speeds. I was actually amazed to see how Netflix app was streaming movies seamlessly on my device with out any hiccups even while passing through areas where the coverage fluctuates from 3G to Edge and back.

hi all, I have the following problem: buy a t-mobile hd7 released, I need to manually configure the 3G connection and I have that option. I live in Argentina and so far with my previous phones had no problems (hd2 htc, htc desire, xperia x10) thanks
I have noticed this issue too and I don't think it's t-mobile but on a positive note the web pages load up very fast.
I've owned my Nexus One for over a year and I've never had any issues with connecting and using WiFi until recently. This is especially important for me, because unlike most people I don't have a data plan and exclusively use WiFi.
My phone is running stock Gingerbread 2.3.3, GRI40. After the update I didn't experience any issues with the WiFi or anything else with my phone. This past weekend however, my phone has had issues staying connected to WiFi and is having extremely poor signal strength. I went out of town and was using WiFi at a hotel with no issues and left my phone on over night. The next day I was using my phone regularly and then when I went to turn the screen on I discovered the phone was off. It appeared that it had crashed and turned off, I'm still not sure if this is related to my WiFi issue. When I went back to the same hotel I was unable to detect any of the wireless networks I had been using previously while others were able to.
When I got home I was able to connect to my wireless network, but the signal strength was extremely poor and it dropped the connection often and it continues to be so today. I've been directly next to the router and the signal strength barely increased. Before signal strength was strong throughout the entire house and my dad's Droid Incredible continues to have strong signal strength in the house. Therefore it isn't an issue with the router, but the phone itself.
So I'm not sure if it is a hardware or software issue, since I didn't experience problems initially with Gingerbread and hardware doesn't usually stop working like that. I'm contemplating doing a factory data reset to see if that resolves the issue.
I'm not sure if I should contact Google or HTC for support, especially since I believe the warranty was for one year and I'm now past that. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Also, here are some posts on Google's forums with other people having WiFi issues: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Google Mobile/thread?tid=00279551366307eb&hl=en
Ah I wondered if it was just me, I previously had no problem getting wifi signal in my bedroom.
Since Gingerbread I only have a single bar (just the sphere of the icon is green). Sometimes it'll just drop straight to 3g :-(
im having the same problem
I'm also consider low wifi signal.
Same problem here to.
Not that I'm glad to hear other people are having issues, I'm glad I'm not the only one.
I just got really fed up with it today and decided to do a factory reset. Unfortunately it was a huge waste of my time and didn't improve anything at all. I can't even use WiFi unless I'm 10 feet away from the router and even then the connection is slow and drops out constantly. I have never been so disappointed in Google.
I'm considering trying out CyanogenMod.

I just got the N1 and is still happy whit it, but I hope Google will fix this problem. As I can see, there is many people out there, that has the same problem as us.
I always wanted this mobile, but didn't have the money to spend. So for a month ago, I could buy it in Denmark for 2000 dk / 400 $ so I don't know if it always have been a problem. I got it with 2.3.3
Hope this text is readable. My English is not my strong side.

Intermittent signal drop on my Atrix
I have the same problem on my Atrix, signal is weak and drops every now and then.
Read on the Motorola forum that turning the cell phone settings of - ie Airplane mode on, resolves this....sort of. So sounds like you have a choice of using wifi or getting phone calls.
So far very disappointed, and not encouraged by the other post here either.
Did you ever think that maybe its time for a new wifi router?
Ok guys, I have been struggling with this issue for some months now, and was wondering if any other One owners are experiencing similar issues as me when it comes to wifi speeds on your phone. Let me first explain my issue, and then what I have done to troubleshoot and narrow down my possibilities.
So, for the past few months, as far as I can remember, I have been plagued by EXTREMELY SLOW wifi speeds. I'm talking 500kbs download speeds on a 50mbps home network. Whats even more bizzare is I have 10mbps upload speed on the wifi network. This does not pertain to any partcular rom. Sense, GPE, results are ALWAYS the same.
Now for the troubleshooting I have performed: I have tried various firmwares, radios, different roms, and of course I matched the current firmware to what rom version I am running. I have tried disconnecting the network and reconnecting, turned off Wifi Optimization in advanced wifi settings, I have tried resetting and powercycling the router, and have even switched internet service providers recently in the last week and am still experiencing painfully slow download speeds on wifi. And before someone tells me it may be a hardware failure, these results are consistently the same on my wife's HTC One. and my Nexus 7 ironically has blazing fast speeds.
So basically, I want to see If I am alone on this issue, or if others are experiencing similar issues with Wifi speeds being slow regardless of internet network speed. And why am I getting ridiculously fast upload speeds of around 10 mbps while only getting 500kbps to 1mbps download speeds??
Thanks guys, I wanted to put this thread out there to help others who may be in the same boat, and to get a consensus to see how many others also are plagued with this annoying nuisance.
Thanks.
Just tested the speed between nexus 7 and one on wlan and both upload and download are at 10 mbps (where the router is ~10 meters away through 2 solid walls).
I have a gpe 4.4.2 htc one.

hmmm, interesting... I just for the life of me cannot figure out why my wifi down speed is being choked so badly with nothing else sharing the connection.
I am having the exact same problem. I myself have been searching for answers and have not found anything.

I just wanted to see if this is just me or not before I call tmob about it. I have no problem being on 4g and one less then max on the signal but when I request anything even just google.com it sits there till it times out and watching the data movement I see it try to send the request but nothing. If I do it ten or twenty times it may work for one page.
I have the same issue but I'm using the t-mobile note 4 on cricket. ?
I have been experiencing this issue for a few months now with little resolution. I have contacted Tmo and went through the entire ticket process without change. I notice it the most when I am unable to load emails in-app. Usually, when this is happens, I turn on wifi and immediately receive emails and notifications that were waiting to be delivered.
It appears the connection is going dead, and it requires a request to connect(Data off, Data on) to reconnect. Best part(or worst) is I can see the top of the T-mobile(they confirmed it) tower from my front yard.
I have similar issue but pertaining to wifi and 4G LTE my download speeds have not reached greater than 5mbs but my upload speeds go to 6mbs on my wifi tried restarting going in and out of airplane mode searching for new network connection and still nothing faster than 5mbs
Any thoughts?

So far I found installing a new rom onto the phone helped a lot. But still not perfect or very fast, even got my note 3 back out and it runs faster. I've replyed to a message from samsung so we can wait and see what happens but what really gets me is that if I use speedtest, it works at 10mbps no problem. Open chrome and goto google and it just sits and sits and sits annnnd times out.
I have the Verizon LG G2 device (VS980) with Android 5.0.2(39A) At this time, I'm not rooted but am experiencing a WiFi problem that is driving me nuts. Basically, anything that uses WiFi such as my browser, has a delayed reaction before actually downloading anything. Once it starts the speed is fine, but the problem is before that. It looks as if it uploads for 5-10 seconds and then downloads 5-10 more seconds later.
It shouldn't be an issue with my Linksys E1200 router as every other phone/tablet/laptop work fine and once the speed test is connected to the server, I get 20-30mbps which is normal. Again, the problem is like a delay before the downloading actually occurs. On average, it takes 15-20 seconds to start loading a page and then the speed of my internet kicks in fine. This happens every single time if the wifi hasn't been used for a few minutes.
My LTE service connects right away. I've tried forgetting the network and re-entering my network key and I don't really know what else to do.
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Edit: I just went to McDonald's and even though their WiFi is slower and the ping is worse, the connection starts right away when going to a website. So maybe it is my router?
I have the exact same problem lol! My relatives Galaxy S4, Note 4, S6 and Nexus 4 (all on lollipop), seem to not be affected. Their phones run perfectly fine on my WiFi. I've tried multiple things to fix the problem, but none of them fix the problem permanently. The only way I could get a stable WiFi connection, is by using an ASOP, CM12, or stock KitKat rom. It looks like the issue has something to do with ipv6 (at least for me). I don't have the knowledge to tinker with WiFi and modem/router issues or settings. I did tried though lol. The best way I deal with the issue when I'm on stock, is by using an app named "disable ipv6 root" or something like that. It does require root and you have to keep toggling on the disable feature every time you reconnect to your WiFi or reboot the phone. Hopefully, maybe somebody else with more knowledge on WiFi and router settings can offer some help on how to permanently fix it.

Thanks for the response. Yeah, I'm pretty sure it has to do with my router. I hope to get a new one sometime soon but they're not exactly cheap for the ones I want to buy. I will probably flash ASOP or CM on to my phone at some point, just been too busy lately.
