Hi,
I'm trying to factory reset my P10 (vtr-l29) I've opened the bootloader and installed twrp once.
I've searched online about how to reset it and install stock firmware but when I'm trying to unpack the UPDATE.APP I don't see all the *.IMG that I need (from what I understand it's BOOT.IMG, RECOVERY.IMG, SYSTEM.IMG , CUST.IMG) and I'm going crazy.
I have the Tool ALL IN ONE, is thre easier why to flash from that?
I've added a photo of the extracted UPDATE.APP folder, maybe I'm messing something...

You cannot factory reset EMUI with TWRP. Reinstall the stock recovery from a Full OTA firmware. A good guide for extracting it is on openkirin.net.

Any idea what this error means? Something about youtube apk which I'm not aware of being installed after factory reset.

You have a missing file that the OTA was attempting to update. If you have unlocked your phone in the past it will sometimes delete those files. Search for the files and install them, then try the OTA again.
Do you mean search for youtube.apk on the web and put it in the system/app folder?
Thanks.
Anybody?

2 problems with your image, your phone doesnt look stock, you must be 100% stock to update, not rooted, no modifications, no missing stock apps, 2nd problem looks like your using the wrong stock recovery, but I could be wrong about this one.
only solution, do you have a stock backup you can restore ? as there is no RUU or files I can find for your phone.

This in fact is a stock backup from previous OTA, nothing has changed. I have been doing it this way for the last three updates and never had an issue.
Stock recovery image was extracted form this update maybe I'll try the previous version If I can find it.
So I bricked my CM android one 2nd gen and it's not booting up, I can only see boot page like forever.
How did I come to this?
I cleared the cache in recovery then it somehow corrupted the /cache folder.
What I forgot to do is I did not enable OEM unlocking in settings so I cannot flash anything in flashboot and adb.
I'm stuck because my phone is
1. Not rooted
2. Bootloader locked
3. No custom recovery
4. Stock Android
What I plan to do now is to use the QPST or miFlash, I have already installed the necessary drivers and I can see my phone detected in download mode (using COM port)
My problem is I don't know where to look for the files needed. Or I'm not sure if these are the correct files I need because I just got the screenshot from other qualcom based phones. But I want to try it.

Kindly help me please where can I get these files?
prog_emmc_firehose_8974.mbn
settings.xml
MPRG8974.mbn
8974_msimage.mdn
rawprogram0_64G.xml
patch0.xml
Thanks in advance
Or you are free to suggest other methods if you have
Try this bro
They have all the xml files you needed as well as the right rom for those tools. You can also download the tool their using flash its easier and better. Let me know if you succeed.

Goodluck kabayan! :good:
I'll try this method but it says
Switch To EDL
Download Fail:System.Exception: Failed to Switch to Emergency Download mode
:'(
Went to flash new ROM.
Opened OrangeFox.
Formatted everything.
Forgot to give ADB authorisation.
Have no ROM.
No recovery.
Flashing a new recovery through Fastboot doesn't seem to work, still only boots to Fastboot.
Any help is appreciated thank you.
Ahhhh misread, yes, like what was said below you need to download fastboot rom, extract twice, flash with mi flash or Szaki be extra careful NOT to select clean all and lock. From there you can flash recovery and your rom.
Format data then reboot recovery, then wipe the partitions, copy rom and whatever else, flash and reboot system.
Try flashing a Fastboot version of any Mi 9t Pro MIUI firmware. It will do a clean flash. Unzip it before use!
That should restore Mi recovery and you are good to go.
I used XiaomiADBFastbootTools.jar.
This method worked for me when I stacked in Fastboot.

But it does not contain boot.img files. How can i get the right boot.img file ?
Please note that i need to stay on stock rom.
Any help will be appricaited.
You need to use oppo_decrypt to extract boot.img and other files from RMX2027....ofp file.

why are you trying to flash the DFE? Isn't it easier to just flash the magisk?

I flashed magisk but now i stuck on boot logo MIUI and after some time i rebooted into twrp recovery
First just a helpful hint, Minimal ADB hasn't been updated in a long time but it still works great. Just go to Googles site, download the small ADB package and replace the ADB and Fastboot exe's from the download into Minimal and replace.
My phone for example won't work with the old files included with minimal.
Anyway, onto your issue. Don't know MIUI but get the jist of what you're doing. To me this appears that unless this was tailor made for your phone, it tried rewriting the boot partition, not enough space so it tried compressing. Rewrote the boot partition and failed.
So you don't have a boot image or it's corrupt. Again don't know MIUI but it's probably soft bricked and you'll need to reflash or restore a backup which I assume/hope you made since you have TWRP
