SYBERIA OS ANDROID P GSI
Hello team, I share the great work you have done to make the GSI SYBERIA OS Android P already with some of the Fix collected in this forum with the rom havooc:
The installation method is quite simple like any GSI:
• Install Treeble recovery.
• Make Wipes
• Install RR Oreo Treeble
• install image SYBERIA OS Android P as system Image
• Install oreo kernel
• and restart normally
• After that if you like you can install Magisk and ready
already includes gaaps
What will not work in the first instance are:
• Rotation
• camera and flash light
• gestures on sensor
but do not worry here I'll leave you the fix
for rotation, copy the sensor folder that I leave here in the path of / system / etc and place the permissions 0755 for the folder and 0644 for the files inside the folder
For camera copy the file Lib_mot_app6_metadata.so in the path in / vendor / lib and place permissions 0644
Par manager in sensor sticks the usr folder that I leave you in the path / vendor keeping the permissions for 0755 folder and for the files contained in 0644
and ready restart and you will have to enjoy this wonderful rom
if you like you can install Gcam for better camera experience

interesting let's take a look
Not sure if it was because I dirty flashed back and forth with the RR Pie ROM, but my SIM card was not being detected.
I previously didn't have it in this phone for a while so I don't know if it worked after the original install. I'll try again with a clean install sometime, but might wait for Mod support or other feedback confirming working SIM.
I did however flash back to stock Oreo and my SIM is working. Did not eject it or anything.
I think it' safe to say... Z2 play users dream of the day we can be on Pie, with at least the battery mod working (even with a depleted phone battery like on stock) and possibly some form of moto apps/moto voice.
Yes: I experienced a ROM that had mod support but the fork did not properly detect the battery mod while the phone was off/dead. (Huge fail because that is when you would need it the most) Lets just say it made for an interesting day...
Otherwise this is an awesome ROM, probably the best there is for this device... so why not go all the way with it.

just use ES Explorer with root, add write permision to /system and /vendor.
Paste folders to destinations, hold finger on folder and choose properties.
On buttom u can change chmod to 0755 ar anything else, use calculator http://www.chmod.pl/chmod-755.html

Hey man, thank you for keep the moto z2 play comunity active. its a really good looking rom I used for some couple hours and it looks amazing, but im having this terrible issue about my sim card and the services o my phone. Some way (i dont know if its my fault or the rom) the "com. android.phone keeps stopping" message keep showing at my phone so i cant use any service wich need sim. i already tried to install several times and keep going the same way. i already install the new update but it didnt solve. i hope you can fix this becouse your rom is awesome.

I install it whit out problem, but when the device boot up, the system asking for a decrypt password, i introduce any word the de ice reboot, wipe something in revovery and ask for password again, any solution? And sorry for the english.

-And install the others zips if you like. without wipes.

How to install wifi:
1- Download odin v 3.09 or high.
2- extract the files Módem.bim and NON-HLOS.
3- connect the cell phone in download mode.
4- Put in CP the modem.bin flash and restar the phone.
5- turn on the phone and put on download mode again.
6-select the NON-HLOS in CP and flash and restart the phone.
When you finish the wifi is fixed. :good:

The video recorder is work fine for me.. you follow the steps and erase the data of the rom (wipe cache, data, etc...)

if you not use the rom stock before to flash the prime chosen the wifi not work. I write the steps for this.. The rom stock to work the wifi is in the post.. :-/ read all the post and follow all the instruction..

Thus CORRECTING
Goto your stock rom and then browse to the system folder
Then go to system/lib/modules/prima/prima_wlan.ko
Copy it some where safe
Then install the deodexed rom
After full install
Rename the prima_wlan.ko to wlan.ko
After renaming copy the file to system/lib/modules

Can't install Magisk
Hi!! I tried the RR rom but I can't seem to install Magisk(v12 or v13)
It says in the last few lines-

Whatley Jr.: It's only system tuning issue, my default ir 70 user apps and 102 apps, after hand clean: 20 sys and 35 user (with substratum themes) + MAT tuning = very fast at all on this phone with this nice ROM.

This is one of the best roms out there at the moment, currently have it on my N7000 and couple of my i9100's too. By far the best features, tweaks....
However one issue I am suffering with the Note version, is whenever I try to install an APK from the internal storage, both internal SD and Ext Micro SD, I get a "There was a problem while parsing the package" on every single APK. These apk's were fine under previous roms, and it seems to install an APK from either PlayStore or Aptiode, just not local files.
I have Unknown Sources enabled, and I have re-installed the OS over the top of itself. I don't really want to wipe the OS if I can help it, as Ive made loads of cool tweaks, without a way to really backup. Is there a known workaround on this error, in Nougat. I've followed most the guides Ive read on the net. I know the files are not corrupt, as they open under other OS.

A very strange problem, i am long use this ROM there was not one such once. It only happens if the application is NOT compatible with android 7.1.2!

You already do clean install?

The initial install was done from clean, no dirty flashing over anything else.
However, as per above, I don't really want to wipe it just yet, as everything else on the phone works fine and got it setup just how I like it, with all the super cool tweaks in this rom.
Strange thing is, it works with other File Managers that are default on this rom. But does not work with FX Explorer file manager, which Ive been using for years. I also have this same build of rom, on my 2x i9100's too, running exactly the same software and FX Explorer too, and it works fine on that....
I may just have to live with it, unless summit bad goes wrong with the rom and i have to wipe.... I've already tried downgrading FX, Upgrading FX, uninstalling FX and reinstalling it... But same issue! lol

exelente trabajo amigo solo algunso detalles que pulir... la rom tiene el mismo fallo que la oreo comp 11.04.19 de un post de moto x 2014, la sim no se activa hasta que reinicias y reinicias y agarra señal la aplicacion de fxaudio solo abre pero no muestra ecualizador... la barra de navegacion debes en cuando muetras una rayas horizontales... en resumen para uso diario va muy bien... espero que pueda mejorar... me gustaria apoyarte $$$ tengo la moto x 2014 nueva y quiero la rom que se necesita para que no olvides el proyecto y la hagas estable???:good::good::good:

Is there a reason for Pixel Launcher dont work? After installing the ROM and the GApps, Pixel Launcher keeps crashing.

If you need pixel launcher i will add in next build, as an optional to select either default or Pixel
Also there are many threads to flash pixel launcher via TWRP, because normal install won't work on all ROMs

Oh, ok. If it wont bother you, I think Pixel Launcher is better than Trebuchet (that is the default), so would be good having it in the ROM already.

Ah, so you're not a real open source developer, but just a guy who builds someone else's work with his own closed hacks for the sake of thanks meter. OK.

Now is it normal to not have a keyboard to setup your phone after installing this build + pico GApps? I can't connect Wi-Fi or use Play Store.
Also I just installed the latest build and after a reboot SIM card was not detected.

I did use:
1. Latest TWRP;
2. Your latest build, and;
3. Latest GApps (ARM, 9.0) pico selection.
No other software was used--i.e. no magisk or anything. I had no keyboard during Setup or listed under Settings afterwards and SIM stopped working after first restart.

- STEPS FOR INSTALLING GSIs:
#IMPORTANT: The GSI security patch and the Samsung Official Firmware MUST MATCH
Download the desired GSI (it MUST be A-only_arm64 Variantfor Pie vendor, and AB_arm64 Variant for Q vendor)
Unpack it if it wasn't in .IMG format
Wipe DATA, and reboot in TWRP
Wipe Dalvik Cache, Data, System, Internal Storage and reboot in TWRP
Go to TWRP , Install , Install IMAGE
Pick your GSI and select SYSTEM IMAGE
Install the kernel for GSI GSI Kernels
In TWRP mount System, then go to ADVANDED, File Manager, and delete this file: system/bin/rw_system.sh (Ignore this for Android 10)
Reboot system
- KNOWN BUGS:
No Network bars (on andiod Pie) (Calls/data works)

Now the brightness works, you just have to do this:
Update the phone to the July security patch (This updates the vendor)
Then download the July patch of any GSI
Follow this Guide and enoy it.

The Autobrightness and the Ambient Dispplay works, you just have to do this:
Update the phone to the September security patch (This updates the vendor)
Then download the August / September GSI Image.
Follow this Guide.
Install the attached fix

Fix the fingerptint
To fix it you have to edit system/vendor/build.prop
Change this line: ro.vendor.build.fingerprint=samsung to ro.vendor.build.fingerprint=Samsung

Android 10 it's working with the last Samsung november security patch.

Fix bluetooth and headset audio on Android 10 GSI

i have same issue.
get bootloop with RR os and havoc..
my phone have unlocked BL and stay in june update.

install g9600_klabit_pie_V5.2.zip
Install GSI
Install the GSI Kernel
Delete rw_system.sh
and then install Disable Force Encryption - SM-G9600.zip

Thanks! Gonna try this out. Also, is the "Disable Force Encryption" file the same as "dm verity opt encrypt"?
great I was successful in installing GSI.
I only see 2 strong problems ..
1. some GSI rom tell me damaged Sd memory
2. Adjust brightness.
Everything else is fine.
Functional MTP with kernel V1.

No... You have to flash the BL then you can flash the SlimSang Rom (A13) on twrp

I request you all to join the telegram group so if I am busy people in group can help you at the time you needed it the most...
only way i got this to boot was. flash 13.0 stock rom in odin, then flash vbmeta disabler in odin, reboot then flash 3.7.0 a71 twrp in odin, then i flashed the rom from twrp, dont reboot flash samsung multi diable then i stayed in twrp and formated data typed yes and by god it worked.
