When I'm using WhatsApp's camera, it takes the 2nd camera by default, however after take the photo it shows me the photo taken by the principal camera. I would like that WhatsApp take the principal camera instead of 2nd by default. Any idea how to solve this issue?
Thanks in advanced

I suppose you are in android pie?
If so it's a known bug and I think xiaomi is the only one able to correct that
Someone reported in latest miui beta it was fixed, I tried but it wasn't ?️
No that specific bug is actually fixed in beta 9.1.24, at least in china sources / xiaomi.eu.
Both Whatsapp camera preview and resulting picture is the same as miui camera.
maybe not in global beta 9.1.24 ?

Not fixed for me. I'm on xiaomi.eu 9.1.24
Then clear app data and reinstall?
Afaik when that bug was active whatsapp preview looked like 2x zoom in miui cam and its currently far less than that
I'm on a fresh install of 9.1.24. just installed WhatsApp. It's still zoomed in. Also have blue or red tint.
Just reinstalled. First picture is MIUI Camera, second WhatsApp Camera http://imgur.com/a/zx8hHJq
Thats odd because the whatsapp bug was about the camera PREVIEW being zoomed in.
The resulting pictures were always fine
*edit*
Ok now I see what you mean, that's a different or new issue though.
Both preview and resulting whatsapp picture are slightly zoomed in. Like 1.2-1.3 zoom in MIUI camera.
During the known MIUI bug in 9.1.17 and earlier whatsapp camera preview was at 2.0 zoom.
So who's fault? Whatsapp? Xiaomi or both?

is someone experience a problem with camera focus on the S5 Mini SM-G800H ?
50% of the time it's had a hard time to lock the auto focus and showing RED ring.
any ideas if it a hardware problem or this phone model had this know problem?
Thanks.
It is probably software. Download the Google Camera app, it tends to work better.

with Google camera app it worse , keep crashing and freeze.
I will take that as a hardware problem for the the reason of no one complain about this as an issue.

I installed Google Camera App and it works fine, good focus when I keep my hand steady (slightly better focused images than the ones I get with the stock camera app), if you have crashing or freezing problems, I suggest you wipe out cache first then try again, if you still have such problems, try to Factory Reset / Wipe Out Data then install again and try (remember to back up your data on the internal memory as Factory Data Reset will wipe out all of it)
I can confirm, there is a problem with the focus and its look like its in my device ( and sound like in other brand new devices). i just got a new S5 Mini G800G/DS and there is no problem with the focus. ( i don't believe that only now i have a normal camera!!! , i got my S5 Mini when it came out in June).
for the record it look like the my new S5 Mini has a newer build # and it come with new preinstalled apps ( like Opera MIni). My OLD S5 Mini was not able to get the new update, keep telling me it up to-date.
Conclusion: if any of you have a problem with a camera it defect in the hardware not the software and i will send it back for replacement or repair.

Hi!
I noticed some randomly appearing flickering artifacts (they have random shape, random position on the screen and can appear once an hour or every second) ONLY while viewing image from rear camera via stock camera app. But they didn't appear on video, which I recorded via screen recording app. So, my Mi A2 (I bought it a week ago) is non-rooted and has locked bootloader. Build number is PKQ1.180904.001.V10.0.2.0.PDIMIFJ (Android 9 Pie). Reboot and factory reset didn't help. Did anyone have something like that? Help me please!

It appears in daylight too.
Hi I have the same problem.
I have the android One 4gb global version, (Sweden)
android pie 9.0 V10.0.2.0
Tried rebooting and factory reset.
Reset cache memory in the camera 2.0 app didn't help.
Have tried different camera apps, same problem.
And i noticed when i look at different streaming sites the artifacts patches appear on the video.
I have described the problem in the feedback app.

I don't think this is because of the anti banding. They appears at daylight, but more often at lowlight conditions. And for me they are completely black random shaped things, and they doesn't appear on video, so i think its not the camera's fault. Maybe an update will fix it.

Strange, I'm on stock pie and this doesn't happen to me, try flashing different roms? if all fails I think you should return your phone because this seems like a serious issue

They are rarely appear, and has no affect on videos/pics, so not a very big deal, just annoying sometimes. Im on stock pie too, i haven't tried flashing any different roms, now i'm waiting for the january update, if it does not fix it, i will send it back.
This happening to my Global 4/64 A2 on Pie. BTW, it does not happen with OpenCamera, only with the stock camera app.
So, I have the Mi9TPro with LineageOS and the ANX Camera.
I tried to make some panorama shots, but despite me holding the phone very stable and having good light conditions, the panormas still end up pretty choppy.
Are there any settings I can fine tune or different apps I can use?
The phone has a good camera, so I am sure it must be possible to make some decent panoramas too?
This is panorama shot from factory ROM and factory camera app:

My panorama shots dont even looks closely as good as this one. They are all choppy and distorted on the parts where the frames are connected.
I am using AnxCamera 158.

Can I ask, why did you install custom ROM? Is it much better then factory? I'm using factory ROM with NOVA Launcher.

I have done a few panorama pictures with the standard photo app and some Photo Sphere using a recent gcam by Urnyx05. The phone is running the latest xiaomi.eu beta. I always use a tripod for panoramas (and for night shots).
I am uploading them there https://yadi.sk/d/nZsnB5lPtvsMkw
Some are acceptable (as long as you like the distorted tripod on them), some not (where there are power lines that are cut in the sky). I guess that the sensor was not aligned with the vertical tripod axis.
Try to watch the photo sphere pictures on your phone. It follows the rotation of your phone.

I haven't tested much but images are dull and have a lot of noise. I tested night sight and is much better than the stock also because it is available for AUX .
Hello everyone. I moved from oneplus 6t to xiaomi mi 11 ultra not that long ago, so I'm kinda lost in some things.
I got mi 11 ultra Chinese version 3 weeks ago, everything was working fine. Then I updated my phone to miui 13 and everything was working fine as well, but then never update got out and I updated to miui 13.0.9 and after that seems like my rear display stopped working.
Like I get notifications on it, when I'm charging phone or someone calls me also working. The only one thing that doesn't work is when I'm trying to wake up rear display to show the time is not working at all. I went trouh some settings but nothing seems to work. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm facing the same issue. Miui 13 CN. Also, when we use it in shots the rear display gets frozen.
It seems the issue was solved by the last apk.

I tested the camera function, double-tap, and turn the rear display up. Everything worked well.
