I just got a V40 ThinQ yesterday and after I got done setting it up I went to go home and quickly realized that this phone doesn't pick up the Sync Bluetooth system in a 2012 Ford. I tried syncing it through the USB port in the car it told me that the phone was an unsupported device. Am I just going to have to wait for an update that will allow this phone to be supported by that system?

Reboot the whole system on your car. I have 2012 Ford Fusion and had that same issue wgen I first got the V30 last year. Also had it pop up when I got the G7. Bluetooth can sometimes be weird with LG devices and Sync.
I gotcha, how would I reboot the system? Do I just Master reset in the system settings?

You can do that if you want but you will lose all your sound settings and any program ex AM/FM presets you have set. Sync reboot is right after master rest or at least it is on my car.
I Googled how to reboot Sync but all it pulled up was master reset.
Same here, I did the master reset and it surprisingly kept all my presets and sound settings. I found out that I was actually missing a step to connect my phone. It didn't have anything to do with the phone or the radio, just human error. Thanks for helping me out though, really appreciate it.

So here is my problem and I don't know if it's just me or 4.4.4 or 4.4.4 on at&t or what. I am rooted and did a sunshine unlock. Updated to the latest 4.4.4 official ota. Now the problems started. I can connect to bluetooth devices fine but if the phone reboots it refuses to reconnect to any of my previously paired devices. I have to manually remove it from my bluetooth list and repair. This makes every reboot so annoying to as I have to get my headphones and pebble deleted and re-added. I have tried factory resetting, full device wipe, and tried other roms. The other roms like CM or PA or Slim are worse as they crackle and pop in the bluetooth headphone while wifi is on, and they have the same problem of needing to be re-added every reboot. Someone please help me, it's making me HATE this moto X.

I can't because there is no 4.4.4 fxz/sbf for the at&t unless I am mistaken. There is only a 4.4.2 and I can't flash it because it won't let me downgrade. So I am stuck unless there is a 4.4.4 sbf I can flash that I don't know about or I have to wait for a Lolypop to come out

Are you saying that the devices won't automatically connect or they won't even connect if you touch their name. Once in a while Bluetooth (on any phone) can get "confused" and forget to auto connect. Touching or clicking on the target device name should force it to connect without having to remove and re-pair the device. It should resume auto-connect after that.
If touching the name doesn't work there might be something else going on. In any case, there are some apps in the play store that might help. E.g. the app "Bluetooth Auto Connect" claims to fix Bluetooth issues. I haven't tried it myself though, no issues here.

Touching the name triggers it to say connecting for a few seconds and then it gives up. I tried "bluetooth auto connect" and it did not help with the issue. It seem unable to reconnect to any device after a reboot.

Does anyone know what system files I could maybe manually flash to get the radios or whatever back to 4.4.2? Any suggestions would be a huge help!

Looks like there's two apps called Bluetooth auto connect. I was referring to the one by UniqTec https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.myklos.btautoconnect, which looks better built.
If you have Xposed installed you could try the Bluetooth enhancement module. It's not meant for fixing issues like yours but it might fix it as a side effect. I have it on my N7 works great.

Just tried both of those and still the same result. The device acts like my previous paired devices are new foreign devices every reboot. Does anyone know which system files would be the most likely culprit so I can try to roll just those back manually?

I did that, still no luck with connecting with my Nexus 6. It's doing the same thing as before unfortunately
Try the steps listed here: http://tinmith.net/wayne/blog/2014/08/android-wear-total-reset.htm

It's likely not an issue with the phone itself; the Nexus 6 that is. My N6 and 360 are playing very well together.
An acquaintance of mine got a 360 the other day. He had the same exact thing happen with the 360 and his SGS4. He's not sure what he did to get it working, it ended up sorting itself out as it seemed to him.
I'd recommend forgetting the device in Android Wear app, unpairing from the BT settings panel on the phone, and then resetting the device. Start entirely from scratch. If that doesn't help, and you just got the watch, it may be worth a shot exchanging the watch for another.
I got it working, thanks for the help guys!

the majority of the time, forgetting the device in wear app, then factory resetting the watch, will fix the problem.
if you flash different roms, its also common for some watches, to have to factory reset every time after a clean phone flash.
i know i have to with my lg g-r.
Hi all,
Purchased the watch couple days ago, yesterday was my first day to really put it through it's paces. Everything seems copacetic except for the WiFi syncing. I've got cloud sync turned on in the Wear app, and WiFi on the watch is set to "Automatic". I verified the watch is indeed connected to a valid WiFi network, with no exclamation points, etc., and I turn off BT on my phone (but keep it's data connection on.) I then try sending a text from the watch, no luck - "Try again from your phone." fail message. I send myself a text from my wife's phone to my phone, the phone registers it, but the watch doesn't. I go into Keep and delete a note on the phone, the watch still shows it. It's not until they reconnect via BT that everything syncs again. Oh, and I tried it on three different WiFi networks (2 at work, 1 at home), no success.
Here's the only thing that I can think of being different. The very first time I turned WiFi off on the watch, there's was a small Yes/No splash screen that came up saying something to the effect of "turning this off will prevent you from syncing"... I THINK. Honestly I can't recall what it said precisely (I was too excited playing with the watch), but the multiple times I've toggled WiFi since then, I have not seen that message again. Anyone know what message I'm talking about? Of course since it hasn't come up again I'm convinced it's the reason WiFi syncing isn't working now. I even factory reset the watch and cleared the data on my Wear app, hoping to get that message back. (It could be completely unrelated, it's just bugging me that ever since I chose "Yes I'm sure", syncing has not worked.)
Thanks in advance for any ideas/suggestions.

Did you ever figure this out?
I have the LG WATCH R with the Urbane rom and have the same issue. It shows connect to Wifi just fine but if I am away from the phone, I cannot send anything...just like when I have no connection.
I think the pop up you mentioned just had a option to prevent the warning from coming up again but should not affect the option to disable and enable the cloud sync.
Nope, afraid not. I posted it to the Google Android wear forums and a couple of "experts" replied to me with suggestions that did not help (factory reset, mainly.)

Yep that has been my "solutions" too so far. I am not sure how the Cloud Sync works do you? It is linked to your Google account? If so, I have 3 email accounts..could that create an issue? I am basically looking for anything right now
Here's what I did find out: my daily driver phone is a Moto X 2nd gen running Lollipop. I factory reset an old Samsung S4 and set it up with a Google account I'd just created. I then factory reset the watch and paired it to that phone. Wouldn't you know, the WiFi notifications worked!
I then factory reset the S4 again, this time using my main Google account to set it up. Factory reset the watch again also. After pairing them, the WiFi notifications did NOT work!
So, I can only conclude the issue is caused by how I have my main Google account configured, although right now I've gone through all the settings twice and verified that I have all of my sharing settings (like location) enabled. Argh.

Well my LG Watch R is now able to work with Wifi for real but only at home. Not sure what I did...I just deleted my accounts from Settings and added them back.
At work, though even when it shows connected, I do not receive any info from the Phone which is very lame since it was at work where I could really use it.

I have 3 google accounts so I actually deleted only two that are not my primary. Then I went to the Sync options and made sure all was checked.
Then also for the Location I removed any other devices that are showing under my account that are not my Phone (tablet and older phones) but not sure which one of those did the trick.

I did open a ticket with Android Wear Support and was told they were going to escalate the issue and I'd be contacted in 48 hours. That was Sunday. I just asked for an update and they replied that they have no solution ATM and no time frame to provide one. Heh! Oh well.
Is it possible to prevent the update to 8.0?
I've read conflicting stories, some say turn off auto download and just ignore the update messages.
Others say the upgrade will install regardless.
Which is it?
It's preventable to some extent i guess... But it pops again and again... And then the system is going to get buggy.... Any particular reason not to upgrade....

If your using a carrier unlocked version you can simply move to a different carrier and if your drivers are not up to date you will never get a notification to update. I currently have an ATT unlocked note 8 running on T-Mobile still on 7.1.1 as you can see
I prevented the updates by not allowing autoupdates in settings, as I knew that this was not entirely reliable, I used bk disabler pro plugin, if you are still running 7.1.1, it is easy to do it this way
Any reason why you don't want to install the latest version of Android on your device? As you are leaving your device opened to security flaws.

I spend a lot of time in my car inbetween appointments, visiting clients etc.
Its important that I'm up to speed at work and the Note 8 was (until oreo and 1st October patch) the only device that gave me email, sms and system messages in my BMW.
Whilst driving, the car would read out my emails and if it was important I could make a call in response. Now, my note 8 doesn't even see the car, nothing, zilch, nada.
I know BT works on other pairings, I can pair the phone to my other devices but it just will not see the car and the car now won't see the phone. I can pair other phones to it but none of them give me email which is molto importante!
I have already updated the car BT and like I've said, it used to work up until a month ago.
So, I'm trading in my note 8 for a new one that is still on 7.1.1 as I'm dead in the water without connectivity whilst travelling.
I have been on with Samsung support who say BMW need to make an updated BT oreo firmware and, BMW say the same about Samsung.

Yes.... I took a look, and unfortunately even in the developer's page it is no longer available, and it can not be installed from an unofiicial source as it needs to be validated and activated by the developer, but, take a look at this:

I have tried different cables, ports but there seems some issue with the phone itself as I am able to initiate it on other devices.
Has anyone encountered same? Is there a fix?
Will really appreciate any help. Thanks.

Sorry for late reply. My phone was gone for a month.
Enabling default to File transfer makes it visible on as a device on my car system. But does not start Android auto setup.
Some times it won't launch on my phone till I hot the Android auto icon on my car. It's a 2018 Camaro ZL1 1LE. If I press the icon it just connects. Looks like it's more the Android auto app then the phone. You can try deleting the Android auto and all the settings redownload and set it up.
I have the same issue. Nubia's support has no response. My wife's android device simply connects, as do all of my other older android phones.
Does anyone have a solution for this? I highly doubt support will get back to me.

Same issue with my 5S or my old 5g. Sync 3 doesn't detects android auto, but only on Ford, on Seat or Audi works nice.
