Hi everyone, as you all know there is big difference in samsung experience home and touchwiz launcher. The only issue which just bother me alot is that of big font size of the labels of icons without changing the dpi. Is it possible to smaller the size of the labels on Samsung experience home? Like in one UI, i really do not want to upgrade to Pie right now. Screenshot is attached
Just so you know pie update uses something new called OneUI and not Samsung experience 9.5 which was on android oreo 8.1.
Go to settings > display > font and screen zoom
And adjust the font size... Hope that helps

Well since you didnt write WHICH apps or WHICH home I suppose you are speaking about the Samsung ones, which are written for 240 DPI and not compatible with other ones.
There are versions here for the apps or home working on the smaller DPI but you have to search.
But rather then that, use alternatives likes launcher pro for home and for apps, depends what you want.
Also in spare parts, uncheck compatibility mode can help you with some apps
Btw I dont use some third party app change the density since its just a line you have to change in build.prop. So I dont know if it has some special functions making the apps compatible
Not sure this is a Note related problem, but I havent noticed it on my old mobile.
Since Note has a big screen I've added the largest widget size (4x5) and resized it to 5x5. The problem is that only about half the widget is filled with calendar data.
The last entry is only a date, I dont even get to see that day's event.
Any ideas?
Pretty annoying not being able to use the full screen...
The current agenda widget size already be 5x5, why need to from 4x5 re-size to 5x5 ?
I only have 4x5 and 5x3 (and all the smaller sizes). Anyway, I contacted the developer and the dev version had the bug fixed.
Yep,there was some dodgy logic in there that conflicted with the resolution/dpi of the galaxy note.
The development version is available here: http://www.androidagendawidget.com/development
I have no experience in coding for android, but it would be nice if someone created a full screen widget maybe to bring the beautiful XMB menu on Android and keep the original launcher and drawer. Dunno if widgets can adapt to every single screen size out there though.
Tried XMBP,wouldn't fit my screen.
I hope that this question hasn't already been asked. I have both of these launchers on my unrooted Samsung Note 5 and I noticed that the ZenUI's graphics appears to be somewhat better than Nova's. Is this possible?
Differences: It seems that the icons and the wallpaper with ZenUI are a little bit in terms of contrast. There seems to be a deeper color to them. On the other hand, Nova's colors seems a little washed out. (This is after I tried to get the size of the grid and icons exactly the same with the same exact wallpaper and icons.)
I had thought that the launchers simply rearrange a few things but the underlying launcher (TouchWiz) is what does the main work. Is it possible that ZenUI's graphics are indeed better?
Hi,
Does anyone know how to changed the icon font size on the home screen and app drawer? The text is ridiculous small that it's causing my eyes to strain. I've tried increasing the font size but it does nothing for icons.
Thanks.
Stock launcher has very few personalization settings. You should change launcher and choose something like nova or lawnchair.

Nova was the first thing I thought of. I'm coming from the Mate 10 16.9 ratio and can't get use to the new 20.9 ratio. It like my TV remote. It's a nice phone but I think I will send it back as I like a wider screen
In Developer option change dpi size, higher value give more little font and viceversa
