Hello, I have a Xiaomi Mi A2 and i connected to my Ford's audio and I can recieve calls but I cant make a call from it. It says: "Connection failed"
Any idea? Thanks for the answers.
I have the same problem connecting to my renault car kit. No fix found yet.
Android possible workaround
I have a similar issue with A2 and A2 Lite with my 2016 Kias with UVO infotainment systems.
On most occasions they are paired when the engine is switched on. I can make calls from handset and receive calls and all audio is funneled to the car's audio but no handsfree dialling from the UVO touch panel.
I have also found when it does fully connect and touchscreen is available, as soon as a notification comes in the handsfree no longer works "No service provider" appears on the dial screen
The workaround for me is to go to Settings > Connected devices > Select the handset or go to "Previously connected devices" and select the handset > settings wheel > swipe "Phone calls" to the left (off) then to the right (on), this reinitiates the Bluetooth connection. For me this works the majority of the time, of course you cannot do this when driving!

anyone pairing this with a kaiser... any tips would be welcome
mex-2500 - guess it's allmost the same
No problems here
Can't remember the excact way to do it but it's something with turning the radio off and holding down a button for a long long time until the BT icon flashes on the radio and KEEP pressing it for a while longer
been playing with it today... just need to hold 6 once their paired. what a great bit of kit. Love the mp3 streaming via bt
The streaming is not working for me after I switch the radio off and on again, only works the first time it's paired
I guess it's the MEX-BT2500's firmware or something
Yours have USB also right? I'd love to have that
Wireless Stereo
In "Comm Manager" go to "Settings" then to "Bluetooth" then press "XPLOD" and you will see two items: "Wireless Stereo" and "Hands Free". Switch off "Wireless Stereo" and save. Then open this page again and switch "Wireless Stereo" on.
Save it. On your car radio is the sign of "Wireless Stereo" again. I know, it´s crazy but it works.
wireless stereo
I checked setup yesterday: select "Wireless Stereo" on the radio then push
knob "6" (station channel) and your "Wireless Stereo" is "on" again.
Damn... Your right
Switching to "BT AUDIO" on the radio and pressing 6 ('pause' as it also says above it) switches it on again - Thanks a million mate
...any chance I can start playback using the buttons on the radio too?
just need to hold 6 once their paired once and will always be reconised again.
I have installed steering wheel controlls and this lets me controll playback on the phone (skiping tracks ect). Nice kit
holding button calls last number. Pressing quickly lets you use voice activation.
Has anyone got the voice activation to actually work on the Kaiser? I can't get it tow work.
I'm using Hyper Dragon III (Opal) which didn't have any voice software installed so I got MS Voice command on there.
The voice dialing doesn't work
I installed cyperion or whatever it's called aswell as the MS Voice command and that doesn't work either
Any help would be great!
Help with Sony MEX-BT3600U Bluetooth Calling
Please help me solve this issue with my Sony MEX-BT3600u. I recently installed the head unit, everything is connected and works fine, but every time I try to call someone i cannot hear the person but the they can hear me. Now I've connected 2 apms and a cross over unit. I've connected the head unit by RCA Cable to the Cross-Over and then the 2 Amps are connected by RCA Cables to the Cross-Over, but instead of connecting the speakers to the unit I connected them directly to the amps instead.
Do I have to connect the a pair of speakers to the head so that I can hear the person I called?
Please help..
Thanks
Answering a question no one asked but functionality I was after.
Borne of a good post on Reddit if your Android Wear watch is hijacking your bluetooth so your phone won't connect to your cars handsfree:
https://www.reddit.com/r/hwatch/comm...adset_profile/
It's a good app and works well for me.
Got me to thinking whether it could be adapted to automatically forward calls to my phone when out of bluetooth range and back to the phone's voicemail when connected via BT. The problem with the inbuilt call forward function is that when you turn it off it erases all the forwarding options including to the phone's voicemail. What the phone's option to turn off/on the forwarding does is send an MMI code to the cell network to update the forwarding options - the same can be done by just entering them numerically.
The list of MMI codes on wikipedia makes it a versatile tool:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Call_forwarding#Europe
Using the Reddit post as a guide I created 2 flows:
1) Forward to voicemail on BT connect -> Trigger: BT device connected (Urbane) -> Action: Call number *004*[voicemail number]#
2) Forward to Urbane on BT disconnect -> Trigger: BT device disconnected (Urbane) -> Action: Call number *004*[watch number]#
Works really well, so if I walk out of BT range the phone forwards calls to the watch if busy/unanswered etc and back to voicemail once back in range.
Hope this is of use to someone.
Hi,
My phone, Realme X2 Pro Eu version with the ColorOS 6.1 RMX1931EX_11_A.08, is connected to my car's radio through Bluetooth, but when I receive a call and answer it, there is no sound coming or going.
I have to go to the device, during the call, change the audio source from the call out of the hands free and then back to hands free to be able to start hearing through my radio.
Doing a timeline exercise:
Phone connected to car stereo --> rings --> answer --> no sound and the other person also doesn't hears --> remove hands free --> sound stats to be send and received --> hands free added --> still be able to hear and send sound through the car's stereo
With my old phone, Honor 8 on android 7, I didn't had an issue with it.
I was thinking of getting tasker to do this automatically everytime I receive a call while connected to a Bluetooth device, but I was unable to get this option.
I went to check in Google and I could find people saying to switch off the "Hey Google" and thing, which I did but it didn't changed a thing.
I've done a reboot, unpair and delete the android profile in the radio but nothing works, and this seems to be an issue in android 9 since I could only get results for this issue from people with android 9.
Any other ideas?
Thanks
Hi,
when I start my car, my phone doesn't connect automatically to my car bluetooth (mitsubishi ASX 2012) and doesn't play music from phone like all my old phones do.
If I make or receive a call, then the phone connects to my car, but when the call is over it disconnects again form the car.
I found a solution to this problem: on bluetooth "other setting" I select my car device and turn off "multimedia audio" option and after a few seconds turn on it again. In this way all works well, but I would like fix it permanently without my manual intervention every time.
I have MIUI Global 12.0.1.0. (QFKMIXM, android 10 QKQ1.190825.002) but this bug was already present on MIUI 11.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Now i have to do the same trick as you or use an aosp rom it works perfectly there).
I have similar issue with hotspot turned on - as soon as i turn it on, it repeatedly disconnects my bluetooth devices, and also hotspot client connections.
it was present in MIUI 11, also is present in MIUI12, nothing helped, even full factory reset.
It was last time i bought xiaomi i think.
Try resetting / wiping wifi and BT settings from share/connections.
I have my device in Spanish so not sure how it's called in English

Same issue with my 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer! How annoying.
After trying all the suggestions listed, including turning the phone connection and media connection settings on both my phone and my car stereo off and on in various sequences, I've finally found a solution.
Go to developer options > networking > Bluetooth AVRCP version
The default setting is AVRCP 1.4, change it to AVRCP 1.5
This fixed it instantly for me.
Hope this helps anyone else with this issue :fingers-crossed:
I finally managed to get Bixby Routines reinstalled on my phone (it was in the Galaxy store and I somehow either missed it every single time I looked, or they just added it). I am using it to send Spotify to my various bluetooth devices while all my notifications play on the phone. I have it set up with 3 devices - an Anker Soundcore, a pair of SkullCandy Ink'd Wireless earbuds, and my 2015 VW Golf. I'm running into some weird issues, though. Note that all 3 routines are set up the same way - IF BT is connected to X, THEN App: Spotify / Audio Device: Bluetooth
1. Whenever Separate App Sound is initiated, either on the previously connected device or a different device, it throws up the "Change main audio output device?" notification, meaning every time I connect to BT, I have to do that. If that's the case, why bother with the routine and not just toggle the SAS with each device manually since I need to interact anyway? When I do toggle it manually and hit OK on the notification, it works flawlessly, sending Spotify to BT and everything else (IG, Messages, YouTube, etc.) through the phone's speakers.
2. With the way the Golf head unit connects to BT, it kind of connects, then disconnects, then connects again, making the phone get weird mixed messages which triggers the routine in a weird way. Is there a way to delay the BT connection on the phone until the head unit is fully booted up?
The only thing I can figure is that maybe I'm not technically following the "make sure you choose an audio device that is different from your main audio output device." rule since when I'm connected to BT, that's the main audio output.
