Hi, I don't see a video link but here's a solution.
Troubleshooting
Problem: YouTube videos appear broken and blurry
The solution: Tap the screen to pause the video. Click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner. Select "Quality" and set it to "720p"
View attachment 4712322
That works. Great thanks very much. It's great to get the touchpad working again.

My Note was playing a video via the Youtube App. When I did a screen capture using the S-pen, the resulting image was a blank/black with the control keys. How come? Is this a bug?
Most likely copy protection, just like on Windows PC you won't be able ( in most scenarios ) to capture screen from any video player.
Maybe it depends on the video and copy protection, although I doubt it. Try taking a screen print with a palm swipe. It works for me. The only problem is trying to avoid the menu popping up.

Friend, I have replied to somewhat the same in here.
Hope this helps
And yes, you can capture screenshots using the above discussed techniques.
Does anyone have an issue with full screen videos in youtube?
For some reason if I put a video in full screen, the arrow button to reduce the size of the video (take it out of full screen) is not available. the only way to get out of the video is to hit the back button which reverts back to the previous video... Am i doing something wrong or is the youtube app screwed up?

I just got my Tab S and have the same issue. Also cannot find anyway to pause video in full screen mode. Tapping the screen does nothing but when you revert back to windowed mode, the pause appears when you tap the video.
To fox this just downgrade your YouTube app. Works for me!
how do you downgrade?

I kept having an issue with videos on my Xperia z3+/Z4. Usually a restart will solve the issue but its only temporary and will come back some time later. When the problems hits, any form of video is unplayable, like from youtube and album. Screen Recording doesn't work too that is why I was recording this video with my samsung Tab 3. And also taking VIDEOS. Anyone knows?
oh previously I had 28.0.A.8.251 had this problem now 28.0.a.8.266 still the same.

Hello,
I have noticed when I use the youtube app to upload videos, the video quality changes to 480p whenever the video is uploaded. I have tried setting the camera app to 1080p 60fps and UHD and changing the settings for upload quality in the youtube app, neither helped. This happens when uploading on either wifi or mobile data. Anyone knows whats going on?
Thanks
The issue you're having is solved in the YouTube app. Click on your profile picture in the top right hand corner then the settings option, next choose general and then upload quality. Choose original and what ever resolution you recorded in will be how it is uploaded. Hope this helps mate

i have tried that, it doesn't solve the issue
It is definitely related to the youtube app. No idea how to fix it. What I have noticed is when I watch an uploaded video using any mobile device via youtube app, then the video is in 480p quality, but if i use my PC to watch it, then the video is in the original quality that it was recorded in. Whats going on here?
Same problem
I have same problem. But video quality is 480p even on computer. I uploaded one video more than week ago and it is ok. Three more videos in last 3 days show only in 480p. Backup to google photos is in 1080p.
So problem is only with videos in portrait mode. In landscape it is uploaded in 1080p. I try upload same video to vimeo and it shows 1080p on PC, but quality in android app is lower (i don't see in app setting button to change it).
Hi all, i just tried my tab S8 and when playing videos on youtube app, the black level of video is good. But when i press any button on the keyboard cover, the black level on the videos changed become more grey/ white. I have to close the video, and reopen the video to have normal black level on the video again. Anyone know what happened and how to resolve it? Many thanks
I have this EXACT SAME ISSUE, but with the Sling app on my tab S8+. Whenever I open the app and start a video stream, the picture looks greyed out. I have to hit the home button to minimize the picture, which forces the app to resize the video without stopping the stream. That clears it up. Then I can maximize the video for full screen and there is no problem. However anytime I stop the video stream for whatever reason, like for example to resize the window or change the channel, the video opens up greyed out again and I have to go through this entire process all over again. I have not been able to find a solution to this problem. Don't mean to thread jack but I believe that the problem the OP has with the you tube black levels is exactly what is happening in the sling app. So perhaps whatever fix someone has for the OP's issue can be applied to my issue. Thanks.
I just checked that using usb keyboard and looks like this is an app interface bug. The app uses keyboard to navigate through interface. When you press a button it greys out element that is currently chosen. Apparently video player window is one big element, that's why it is being greyed out.
P.s. looks like it is possible to fix that by minimizing video player and pressing arrow keys

I haven't tried yet on the Tab S8 but on the Tab S6 I had the exact same thing happen when using an external BT keyboard / mouse combo, so I would assume this is some kind of Youtube app bug. I think you can also exit out of the video so it goes popup and go back in. I was using Youtube Vanced now that I think about it.
