LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 8.1 (Oreo), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)

This ROM is only for Hydrogen now. There is no version still for Helium.

Hello all, I never flashed my mi max 3gb/32gb..
Previously I have used galaxy grand in which I used external sd card for data..
Here in mi max, there is no external card.. So, each time I flash my phone.. Then data will b deleted?
Also, tell me the steps to use this rom from scratch! I never did anything to mi max till now.
And, is there anyway to come back to stock miui unrooted again..? Tell this thing too.

Actually you can flash custom kernel but you can't have ROM developer support if you encounter any bugs. This is what it means to use stock kernel. Also some kernels need to flash magisk to boot. Ultimately choice is yours.

Which recovery should I use for this rom? The data keeps on getting encrypted.
I was using the recovery recommended from AEX 7.1.
EDIT: LR. team recovery fixed the issue. NVM.

- Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
- Boot to recovery (OrangeFox recommended).
- Wipe the System, Cache, Format Data-yes and ART/Dalvik cache.
- Flash the Firmware + ROM + Gapps + Magisk Zipfile.

Instructions :
Download the latest OmniROM and Gapps
Boot to recovery
Wipe data/cache/system
Flash ROM, Gapps, and Magisk if you want root access.
Reboot

Same as LOS17 (Volte , VoWifi , etc)
Notes:
If you are not on Q BL it will not boot.
I would suggest 3.2.3 TWRP.
For encryption to work make sure you are on 3.2.3 twrp and haven't formatted /data with any newer versions, issue described here.
Use a stock unmodified vendor and update whenever available, we are using our own fstab now for optional encryption and adoptable storage support so we don't need to touch the vendor.
If you go back to an official build after this with stock vendor, you will be force encrypted on first boot.
These builds are based on the unofficial lineage device trees (Synt4x.93) and official lineage kernel, but with my preferred configuration. Also I'm adding few extra options into the ROM sources (open to feature request).
My builds uses pixel fingerprints to pass safetynet without flashing magisk/magisk hide props. Twrp will show google/flame id when flashing, this is normal the builds are for 9810 devices and will boot and work fine.
