Format everything if you are coming from the Stock ROM.
8.1 Custom ROM Flashing Guide:
1. Flash ROM zip
2. Go to Twrp reboot options and switch to another slot (ex. if you are on slot_a then switch to slot_b)
*Do not reboot*
3. Flash latest Twrp installer
4. Reboot into Twrp recovery
5. Flash latest Magisk + gapps zip (platform ARM64 + Android 8.1 + Variant (all gapps will work))
6. Reboot to system

Everything is fine including gaming experience, it is a lot better than any buggy 8.1 Oreo rom, but there is an annoying issue that I want to fix:
The Low Memory Killer is too aggressive that I can't use it to be multitasking, I just could keep it opened about 2 apps in the background, any solution?

in fact I usually don't install gapps so I didn't this time.
but pico is definitely ok .
personally (when I install gapps) I use aroma so I can install what I want and leave the rest??

Can you rebase this twrp by rectifying the issues with the stock ROM. Push the fixes to the twrp gerrit so that all issues are fixed. Twrp will woek Even with 4.9 kernels like lineageOs. This is bases on 3.18 using Daniels sources right?

Actually you can flash custom kernel but you can't have ROM developer support if you encounter any bugs. This is what it means to use stock kernel. Also some kernels need to flash magisk to boot. Ultimately choice is yours.

Which recovery should I use for this rom? The data keeps on getting encrypted.
I was using the recovery recommended from AEX 7.1.
EDIT: LR. team recovery fixed the issue. NVM.

- Wipe the System, Cache, Format Data-yes and ART/Dalvik cache.

pretty good! the only ones bugs that i've seen are screen recorder that make interface very laggy and status bar quick settings lagging too.

Im getting ERROR : "E10001: Failed to update system image ..."
when flashing the lastest rom, any idea how to fix?
i reinstalled lineage 18.1. 2 days later i tryed it once more. now without error.

which version are you using now ? last one ? do you face any bug or problem ? are you with the gapps included version ? In which point this rom seems good to know for you : stability, custom modes available, batery backup, updates... ?

Why doesn't screen mirroring work?

Successfully updated to v4.0.6 gapps with orangefox recovery. Thanks guys.
