Does anyone know if the black galaxy buds are a option with the preorder bonus? All the websites I've come across are offering the white on the checkout page.
I don't believe so. I personally would rather have black but that wasn't an option. I would rather have had another $100 off and not gotten the buds at all. As it is, I prefer my IconX buds and if my wife doesn't want to use the new buds I'll probably give them to my son.

It's the least they could do for a $1,600 purchase. Based on the fine print for the Best Buy offer, I don't think I'll see my buds until April as the offer says 6-8 weeks.
Ordering from Samsung directly, it shows up in my email invoice after purchase as "Galaxy Buds White Promo"... I was hoping I could decide as well. Black would go better with a black phone.

I talked with a Samsung representative and she told me that the promotion is only giving out white Samsung buds. And there is no way to switch color. ?
If the phone is ordered directly from Samsung, the buds are shipped with the phone.
I called Samsung yesterday because I had the same question and they said that all pre orders are being shipped with the white color option only. Black and the green won't be available as a color choice with the promo

If you pre-ordered through the Samsung website or Shop app you'll get them shipped with the phone. Samsung rep that I talked to said there's a chance that I couple get my buds a couple days before I get my phone but for the most part they will ship together
Dam it, really wanted a black pair.. definitely not passing up the opportunity for free white buds tho am I right?
I got desperate enough to try hack and slash a black pair into my cart... the black pair doesn't even exists on the store, I'm assuming they disabled it until the promo ends.

If what I read earlier is correct, the buds for yourself will be shipped separate you will have to go to Samsung promotions website and apply.

Which means they're totally useless to me. I HATE white electronics, and didn't realize the prism blue model would come with that crap. Not a happy camper (and the blue kind of sucks too, finally seeing it in person).
Right after I opened the box, after a brief delay as I threw up on my mouth, I slung the the white wired buds, charger, cable and USB A to C adapter into the trash. Did I mention I'm not a happy camper?

Ha! I received a black USB-C, charger & ear buds.. (I ordered the prisim black S10).
Received my galaxy buds with the phone (ordered direct from Samsung), would of preferred the black pair.. they're awesome anyway, love them!

All Galaxy Bud wireless headphones for the promo are gonna be white. The AKG wired headphones that come with the phone will either be white or black depending on which color phone u got.
Seems to me that Samsung may have miscalculated.
Maybe they saw all the cool kids happily rocking white Apple bair pods and they figured Samsung customers want that same aesthetic -_-
I spent a decent chunk if time talking to support, even escalating to a supervisor, but the promo buds are all white. I expressed my extreme disappointment that I now have to pair white buds to my black s10+ and black Galaxy watch.
Sounds like the only way you're going to get black is if you wait to redeem the promo, in the hopes that they run out of the promotional buds and give you the ecertificate instead, which you can use to purchase any color.
For anyone like myself that has already redeemed, I did confirm that they will be shipping in retail packaging not promo packaging, so maybe we can take them into a store and swap for a black pair. (or order online and return the white ones saying they sent the wrong color and hope they allow refund instead of exchange).
Pretty lame, seems like a huge oversight for Samsung to make a big deal about the multiple colors and then force all the promos to be white even if people didn't order a white s10

That was one reason I cancelled and reordered after they ran out of buds I'd much rather have the certificate. The other reason is I'm happy with my black IconX buds.
Wouldn't it be possible to return the white ones to a store to exchange them for black ones?

In theory, but you won't have a "receipt" and you never "purchased" them. You can try the ole "I got these as a gift, I don't have the receipt but I just want to exchange for black" trick, but I think it'll be some time before anywhere has in store stock. Only other thing you could try is order online , keep the black, return the white saying they sent the wrong color, and hope they don't make you exchange instead of refund.
Myself, I ordered a pair of Black buds on sale for $104 shipped. Pretty sure I can sell my white pair for at least $105 and break even. Maybe I'll even be able to snag $130 for them and profit too!

For anyone who added the black tie protection/insurance plan when they bought their nexus s from US, you can call and request a replacement battery. Also you can say that your battery cover's cracked/missing and they will send you another battery cover as well. all they did was confirm my shipping address and shipped it off the next day.
I just received both of them today in the mail (took 4 days).
Just thought id let any of you black tie members know before yall spend 30 bucks on the battery cover at http://www.globaldirectparts.com/Googel-Nexus-S-Battery-Door-p/smsng6098530.htm (note the minimum order of 2 but i guess you could always end up selling one)
Im not sure if you can get on the black tie protection if you havent already when you purchased the phone. its $10 a month but i might end up cancelling since I already received the replacements and i hear a lot of horror stories about the repair process when you have to send in the phone for repair.
You can cancel the Black Tie Protection? Normally I'd expect a pre-termination fee to be paid should you elect to cancel before the end of the program.

Nope they don't make you send it in. Yes I got it already. Took about four days to process and ship. Just tell them you broke your back cover because you dropped it and they'll send it to you. That's the great thing aabout accidental damage warranty.

yes it does. exactly the same as the normal battery cover.
My back cover got all f'ed up from trying to plasti dip my battery cover... so this is great news for sure!

I figure the BB insurance it worth it. The phone is still quite pricey if you were to damage yours in the next few months.

You can cancel anytime. There is no "contract" when you sign up for the protection thus you can terminate your monthly charges whenever you want.

Since I have legitimate problems with both my battery and back cover, I gave the Geek Squad 800 number a call. The first representative I spoke with sounded like he knew what he was doing. Unfortunately I needed the part number from my battery and was talking on my Nexus S. When I called back I spoke with another representative who seemed a bit incompetent. He said he placed the order for both parts but I would have to call them back in 7-10 days. I asked why I had to call back since the order was already placed. He was unable to give me a clear answer and mumbled something about having a bunch of orders and someone had to review the case. I nicely told him the case was very straightforward...my parts are bad, I'm entitled to new ones. He still gave me the runaround. Oh well. I'm sure I'll get my parts eventually...hopefully sooner rather than later.
Do you know if this can be on sell ?

why would you on the Earth go buy a damn Closed source iPhone product from a company who sues everyone else and still steals everyone's else ideas and not get sued in return?
B/C quite frankly i rather have my old POS Samsung Moment versus the damn iPhone. LoL just curious though.
But not a bad for everything but to be honest i can buy that battery at amazon for 5$ but for everything someone should want it.

Well, everyone has different opinion. Android is great. I have no doubt. I loved it and I still do. It was my first real 'smarty' smartphone after good old Windows Mobile on a tiny screen.
I'm in computer science field and thought this was a chance to try different OS and also learn C## while at it since I got it for free from my friend.
Only downside is that I feel like I've become Google's slave since none of the Google apps work like Android on iPhone and that sucks considering my heavy dependence on those apps to carry on with my life. Sometimes I'd wish, calendar would sync and GMail would pop up notification asap.
But otherwise, iPhone is great too.
And I think those batteries on Amazon are either fake or very heavily used up ones. Customer reviews do tell the truth.
I don't remember how much these NFCs were, but some were close to $2 and some were over $2 a piece. Plus one unused genuine Samsung cable and one used cable as well. And then there is a shipping cost. I'm not making tons of money from this transaction. I think it's a good deal regardless of inclusion of battery or not.

Sorry. If you don't know what NFC does, I think you should just go buy the other accessories you need separately. These cost anywhere between upper $1.50ish to $2 or more a piece if you were to buy it as a new and majority of them are new anyway.. and it's like DVD-RW + doesn't scratch, so you can rewrite them over and over until your phone dies.

Samsung officially announced the S4 will come in new colors: Blue Arctic, Purple Mirage, Red Aurora, Brown Autumn, Pink Twilight, Gold Brown & Gold Pink. Red Aurora (16GB) is already being offered at AT&T for $199.9 w/ a two-year contract. Asia will most likely receive the new colors first, then Europe & then (hopefully) us in the U.S, but probably not until late 2013. Will keep everyone updated when more info is released. Looks like I'll be putting my white one up for sale, if we get these :fingers-crossed:

Spending hundreds of dollars to get a different colored phone that you already own? If you have the money to throw away, then go for it. In this day and age, that doesn't sound very practical. You will have to pay full price for the phone. Even if you successfully sell the white one, you're going to have to pay hundreds out of pocket to change phones. All the more power to ya if you do I guess. Good luck getting a refurb if something breaks on the colored one. If they can even get a replacement, it'll take weeks to get another if it isn't a popular color. With my e4gt, black could be gotten in a week. White took at least twice as long. Knowing sprint, it wouldn't be financially smart to offer a bunch of colors. You'd most likely have to order it online because the stores wouldn't carry it because it's not a high demand item.
Good news will be getting one of these for the other half, she is a pink freak. Well worth the money IMO. Might be hard to replace but she can always use her white one if she needs to. Of course something better may be out by then also so who knows.

Agree to disagree. I'm not worried about it as much as you are. The phone just came out & people are willing to buy mine. With that being said, I won't be spending as much as you think I would be. Hundreds out of the pocket to change phones? Are you dealing with some blackmarket "Sprint" dealer from Detroit? My Sprint doesn't charge to switch phones or port numbers. It really comes down to IF Sprint will even have the color I want. I can see them definitely stocking purple, but I highly doubt they will offer the other colors. In this day & age, people jump the gun every time a new iPhone or Android comes out for whatever their reasoning may be. I will be getting a new S4 based on the color. I'm a girl. It's what I do. Everything is online lol. I preordered my current S4 online

Exactly, not a big deal. I'm a pink freak, too lol. Everyday there's a new, bigger & better thing out. I'm stuck in this contract for two years & I'm going to get a phone I'll be happy with for two years, even if that means spending a little more for happiness.
It won't cost her a dime probably. Maybe tax would be the main difference in price. You can sell these phones for retail used.
Plus if she gets a pink one and had to have it replaced and they don't have any refurbished then she just gets a brand new one. They can't make you wait. I've gotten brand new ones many times when they don't have refurbs.

What is this phone full price, 650? With contract renewal or new line, maybe 250 or less if you can find it on sale. I got mine for 199. Let's say you used your upgrade on the one you have now. As far as I know, if you want another phone, you have to pay full price. There's the option of upgrade now. I forgot about that one. Say you got your phone a couple of months ago, you have 22 months left until you can upgrade without paying additional fees. I have no idea what the upgrade now cost would be. I'd be surprised if someone could get 300 for a used s4 in working order with clean ESN.

Here's some shots I took when Samsung was holding an event, I was told by the Samsung people that Sprint should get the purple s4 mid July so I guess we will wait and see.

I only paid $150 for mine new. No matter what, I'm making a profit so I will barely make a dent in my purse to pay for the pink one lol.
Besides 600 bucks isn't that much to keep the other half happy. Then we sell her old one for let's say even 400 bucks. That makes it 200 bucks out of the pocket. She spends more than that on a pair of shoes she wears twice. I call the phone a bargain. Nothing wrong with paying good money for something you will enjoy. Its all about what it is worth to the person buying it.

I hear you on the shoes thing. Shoes and clothes. My girl can easily spend 600-700 on clothes at the Buckle every few weeks. Most of it she only wears once and never again, either given away to her friends(if they are small enough) or pushed to the back of one of her closets.
No matter what you get for the phone its still going to off set the cost of a new one pretty much. Do what makes you happy and ignore what others think.
I wonder what the Sprint buy back value is for a s4? Purple looks cool but I can't see myself going more into debt just to change a color. Right now I'm working full time, still broke most of the time, and car in desperate need of multiple repairs. FML.
Buy back is a joke sell the phone you'll get probably at least 400.

Don't do the buy back. Like he said above, it's a flat out joke. Craigslist is an easy $400+ for our phones. It's best to sell it on Craigslist, Amazon, Ebay or Swappa.
The purple one is the prettiest IMO.

I'm not a fan of purple, but they did a good job on it. They chose the colors well. I wish I could have them all for every outfit lol. Definitely have to give it up for the obvious one, Pink Twilight. Still holding my breath for it.

So I went into my Best Buy Store today at around 2PM PST to preorder the new S6 Edge and wanted to share with you all my experience on how everything went down and some things that might dissuade you from going to Best Buy to preorder.
So when I asked what color I could get, the rep said only Black or White, no gold or green unfortunately. I asked if it's just this Best Buy but she said that it's for every Best Buy location. I said ok and decided to get the AT&T 32GB White S6 Edge. To preorder, I needed to put down a $50 deposit that comes in the form of a $50 Best Buy gift card. You get the gift card right there and when you come in to pay for the device when it's out, you can use the gift card towards the purchase of the phone or buy a case or something if you want.
As for the free wireless charger promotion that Best Buy is holding, I could only preorder it in black, no white or any other color.
Preordering the phone itself took around an hour by the way because of all the technical difficulties in their systems. The rep told me I was the 4th person to come in today to preorder so it's not that hot in my neighborhood but seeing as how the system wouldn't work for a while, I suspect that it's a really in demand device in a lot of other locations. I also couldn't get my preorder in the for the wireless charger due to the same technical difficulties, and so instead of waiting even longer, she decided to just take my number down and keep trying on her own time and call me back when it goes through.
I ordered online at best buy and got the Edge 64gb from AT&T on the next plan and got the black charger for free. The thing I don't understand is I only got charged $38.66?! I thought I was going to have to pay tax on the full retail price?! Can anyone shed some light on this for me.. I tend to miss things like this.
That's strange, you usually pay tax on the full retail price. Would it be possible to post a screenshot of the order confirmation without your personal info on it?

Hmm, weird.
Got a text from my buddy that Best Buy was in fact taking pre orders for Verizon today and not the 1st. So, I went in after work and it took a whole 10 minutes to get the 64gb Edge in black along with the black wireless charger pre ordered. Went really smooth, and the employee explained everything to me while doing it all. No hiccups in the system or anything like that.

Well what state do you live in?
I'm in Cali and had to pay $70 for the 32 gb edge model.
Missouri. I paid like $70 for my wife's note 4.
I too placed my order with BestBuy. Went with the black Edge version for Verizon. Oddly enough, my store here in Miami was having some system issues as well, and the experience took long, but not bad due to having great conversations with the employees. I did get the free charging pad as well, but it had to be done as a separate transaction from the phone, and that again took some time due to system error. The employee just had me walk around the store till the transaction was complete, and he would just come find me, which he did.
All in all it was not a bad experience, just took forever to complete. If you're in a rush, then yes avoid BB till the system error is fixed. It could have just been first day hiccups, but who knows? If you do decided to go with BB for the free charging pad, make sure you have some time to stick around just in case...
Ordered mine off of BestBuy.com.. Got the Edge 64GB on AT&T on Next 20, $915 Total Price, divided into $45.75 a month. 12 Installments, then S7 lol.
I am actually a BB Employee and I chose to do it online as I know our in store systems are garbage and I didn't want to take a chance.
We also had it on display and the phones ran SMOOTH. I really hope AT&T doesn't botch it with their useless Bloat! The Camera launches in half a second like they have claimed and I really do think Samsung got the design right on both.

That order confirmation could not be more vague lol. The only thing to say is to contact Best Buy but you probably already thought of that. Did you check your bank account by any chance to see if a deposit of some sort went out? I had to pay a $50 deposit for mine so it could be like $50 + $38(due later).
Yeah I did go to best buy last night and I showed them but they didn't know why either. They said I have a confirmation # so I'm good. Checked the bank account and nothing. I guess I will find out for sure when it comes in..

I paid $64.05
Went to best buy and got two on verizon. One edge and one regular. Only cost the 50 gift card for each and got the 2 wireless chargers pre ordered as well. Went pretty smooth for me. He said they where having issues with verizon though because they had to find a loophole since Verizon isnt officially doing it until the first. I wanted the gold but I got to play with a black and I like it so I am happy. They also said if I do edge I will only pay about 130 for the two phones when i pick them up and will get $28 off of each $40 line a month that basically covers the edge payment if I go with the 10gb shared family plan. Sounds like a good deal. Then i can edge up for the The sgs7 or the m10. Whichever is better. This will be my first sammy device since the m9 is falling short this year.
Anyone have any experience with BestBuy and ATT next program. I currently have a phone on the ATT next program, which if I pay $96.00 I can then trade in the phone on that program to get another on a next program. The question I have is am I able to keep my current phone even after preordering in store at BestBuy until the Galaxy S6 Edge is officially released and I can pickup. I don't have issue with waiting until release, but don't want to be without my current phone until release of S6. Hope someone can shed some light on it.

Yes you keep your phone until you pick up your new one and sign the new next contract. After you get your S6 tho I'm not sure how you get your old phone back to AT&T.. I pre-ordered mine thru BB online so when it's shipped to me I go into the store and sign the next agreement and pay the taxes on it and get it activated.
Does the wireless charger promotion only apply to devices being purchased through an upgrade? Because I don't want to use my upgrade for this one but the wireless charger would be nice. Also I wonder if they'll price match AT&T. because AT&T is selling the edge for 815 and not 850 like best buy is claiming.

Yes you get the charger even if you buy the phone off contract.

Once you pick up the phone, Best Buy has "return kits" they give you. Should give you a box and prepaid shipping label so that you can return your phone to AT&T. This gives you a chance to get your stuff moved over to the new device and all that jazz. Pretty straightforward process, and when my dad upgraded this way, a lot easier than I thought it would be.

There was fine print at the top that said $50 would be deducted in your cart once you add an acc over $50. I totally missed it, and in order to claim the credit, you have to cancel and start over, most likely extending out your ship date.

Try giving Samsung a call. Worst thing that could happen, they can't change anything for you.
when i preordered, i tried to add the 10+ LCD backcover but i CANT place the order, it shows one of the item is out of stock (lcd back cover).
so i preorder with a ebates cashback website, get back 3%. 455$ at 3%, get back 13.65$. better than nothing.

If you did the reservation before the launch event you should be getting an email saying pre-order now, using that link from the email if you order and add an accessory (with the order) you will get a full $50 coupon code applied to your order.
Which means if you add a wireless charger for $13, you will get that charger for free as you will be getting a full $50 discount on the whole order.
You will need that email that came after the reservation to get the $50 coupon.
When I ordered mine I did not add any accessories, then I learned about it, and canceled my order and re-ordered it again.
If u wanna re-order, make sure that your link is still working before canceling your order. Mine now says this offer has already been redeemed. But it worked perfectly when I re-ordered the second time.

I had the same thing and you are correct. I too first didn't pick accessories as I thought Samsung would somehow send me a separate $50 code or apply it to my account. I canceled my first order, then again went though email link and this time picked a leather case as well. The problem is that the first day preorder started, I could only pick 1 color option for my leather case which was black and I went with it. The next day Samsung probably updated their website with color option button
I think that email link might be valid for 72 hours
I cancelled and reorded. This time was able to get the $50 in accessories along with the Bud's! ??
I would have gladly taken $50 off an accessory instead of the free buds.

Nahhhhhh that sucks :'( I canceled once because I didn't use the email so I purchased again because I thought I was going to get the $50 later but I guess not... I still have the email and it is still valid for me, but everything got pushed really late. Do you think if I give Sammy a call they can push everything to how I had it before?
I blew that as well was it on the screen where you pick the ear buds ? you could do either the earbuds or the accessory

If you reserved and then clicked on the email that Samsung sent, you will get both items.
