will pixel stand work with s10? - Samsung Galaxy S10 Questions & Answers

I have a pixel stand and wondering if anyone knows whether or not it would charge the s10. Figured I'd ask before I try and fry something.

Yes it does work

Galaxy Gear and the S4

So I know the Sband is suppose to be released in the next 20 years which will work with our S4 for those of us that want to remain fit and utilize the Samsung Health assistant, but what do you think of the chances that the Galaxy Gear is going to do exactly this?
I am not trying to start a rumor thread, but I am kind of curious of how this new device will possibly interact with my tablet and /or phone. Has anyone heard anything about this device? I mean for me I am looking forward for something that will replace my fitbit during a good workout.

It's hard to know for sure until the device/specs are officially released but I would be surprised if it didn't work with the latest released devices. Now I could see it possibly being a 4.3 device, meaning until we get 4.3 on our phones/tablets then it might not work.
I'm interested in it as well and looking very forward to the release as I am with the 4.3 update to our phones.
Have they come out with the long lasting battery and back yet? Battery life seems ok rooted... I'm sure it'll be junk in 6 months. I just hope extended battery isn't brick-sized.
I can tell that the inductive charger does seem to change the way it charges. I know that my partner at work has the official one and he is telling me that his battery doesn't discharge as fast as when he charges it through the wall. He refuses to charge it from the wall and now will only do the inductive charging or from a USB off the computer

Pixel XL to S8

Curious if anyone else made the switch? I did, but not exactly by choice. I am curious if it is ok to use the Pixel XL wall charger to charge the S8 with?
Any deals on wireless chargers that anyone is aware of? I looked on Amazon but not a ton at the moment. Do I need the official one or will any one do?
Finally, thoughts on the UAG Monarch? Have read both good and bad reviews. Only have a Spigen Rugged Armor at the moment but am a bit concerned about protection.
Thanks!
Yeah, I made the switch from the Pixel XL to S8. Also not by choice (Pixel was stolen).
It's a decent phone but despite the older chipset, the pixel felt smoother overall. I also think the camera on the pixel was slightly better but this one has OIS which is a big plus. I also like having wireless charging again and the waterproofing is great, I've taken it into the pool a few times.
I think it's fine to use the Pixel charger (I have done so) but it probably won't fast charge, just regular speed.
Same with wireless chargers. You should probably get one that specifically states it will fast charge the S8 because I got one which advertised fast wireless charging but it doesn't fast charge my S8 (with the stock S8 wall charger) for whatever reason. Regular charging works fine which is ok for me since I just drop it on there at night or in the office.
Spigen should be sufficient for protection. I have a couple of Ringke cases and have dropped the phone 2-3 times without a scratch.
I just switched from Pixel XL to the S8 Plus. I like the brighter screen on the S8 Plus but the new ratio isn't so great. Most of my apps now have a large black space at the top and the bottom, any don't run correctly with the fit to screen option. I think the camera might be slightly better on the S8 Plus but I'll miss that unlimited storage. The waterproofing and the memory card support were the biggest factors for me to change.

Also not by choice. I had the Pixel (not the XL) and now have the S8 (not the S8+).
With verizon I had a nagging (known issue for a rare number of users) where the microphone would not produce sound. This meant that recording videos would have no sound, system alarm wouldn't go out, and Android Auto in my car would often times not connect (it must have some API dependency on system sound).
There's a known soldering issue reported by Google where one of the Pixel microphones has an issue. I was sent a replacement with the Verizon warranty program. Two issues with the replacement:
1) I couldn't OEM unlock anymore so I couldn't root. I was NOT pleased. I thought about requesting a direct one from Google but thought that would raise suspicion on wanting to OEM unlock.
2) It too had this issue.
I could have gone through yet another replacement but threw in the towel. I loved that phone and wonder if this issue was actually a Verizon issue. I like that the S8 finally has root. I love it. It'd be nice to have an unlocked bootloader but root is definite progress (at least I can install Viper now).
I currently use both. Have a Pixel XL and S8+ through Verizon. I use the Pixel XL mostly as my daily driver, but use the S8 plus as my truck GPS mostly and with my VR headset to watch movies while in the bunk. Pixel just feels more natural to me. Better camera, imo. Though the UI Samsung has created is pretty snappy. I think the main deal breaker for me is the location of the fingerprint scanner/gesture reader. The one dead center on the pixel feels more naturally placed. Also, the pixel's glass seems more stronger. I have dropped the pixel from my semi and it not shatter... dropped the s8 from my bed onto a wood floor and it has a shatter in the top right corner.
I have a Pixel (non XL) and just got the S8+. I think Ill be going to the S8 because the plus is a little too big for me. Aside from that I think I like the S8 family much more than the Pixel (I know it makes me a terrible person, saying that). Oh well, regardless, there are a LOT of things I love about my S8 over my Pixel. Yep, I use the same type C charger for both, the one that came with my Pixel.

Note 8 Upgrade battery?

Hey Guys,
Im thinking about to take the battery out of my Oukitel k10 and put it in the note 8.
There are serval problems
1. I could not find any 3d models of the Backcover to edit it for my needs and print it in an 3d printer.
2. What is the best way to connect the new battery to the System? thru the qi charging circuit or just stick it to the inbuild one?
Why would you even try to do this?
Is the size exactly the same? Or are you trying to get the Note 7 effect with your Note 8?

the battery is way bigger but the size should fit on the back of the phone. My plan is to build an new Backcover to fit the bigger battery. And i dont see the note 7 problem  .
the final resault should look like this

Using a battery not even designed for the phone is a very bad idea, and most likely will result in a catastrophic failure (aka, fire). Unless the battery you want to use is specifically designed for the Note 8 (for example, if ZeroLemon makes one for the Note 8), don't even attempt something like this.

The battery has circuitry designed to feed very important data, this hardware must match the design parameters Which I doubt will be the same within the battery you want to adapt, the arrangement you are devising may work, but most surely for a very little while
Why not just get a battery case for $25? Lol
These batteries are not designed to be taken out and replaced for a reason.
This is extremely dangerous.. in any way I do not condone this as its a fire hazard among other bad things
Buy a note battery
Thread closed before this gets out of hand

Talk Me Off The OP7P Edge!!!

I've been a Note Officianado for YEARS...and suddenly I'm being tempted by the One Plus 7 Pro 5G as a possible replacement!! I feel so guilty for even THINKING it...but I can't seem to shake that nudge of curiosity and temptation to have that "next new thing"! Somebody please talk me down. Tell me I'm insane for entertaining the sacrilegious notion of leaving the Note Family! TALK ME OFF THE LEDGE!!!
Give it a shot. If you're like me you'll come back at some point anyway (see my signature). Nothing bad in giving other manufacturers a shot from time to time, it's a good opportunity to understand where Samsung is lacking/needs improvement, and to realize all the things they get right and the Samsung features you're missing
I'm not a OnePlus fan, but the 7 Pro seems to be a pretty great device. They finally seem to take care and give importance to the small details and refinement their phones were lacking in the past imho (finally a great display, a better vibration motor, better build quality, the cameras seem better too, etc.)
If you really need a reason to not switch: The Note 10 will be an even better phone when it launches this fall

DITTO that...look out and hold out for the Note 10 rather...
S-Pen. That's the number 1 difference-maker for me. As far as a daily phone goes. It's always going to be a Note. Using an S-Pen to interact with my display has always been the most efficient and fastest way.
Im in the same boat after watching the reveal of the OP7P. The only reason i womt switch is because i know i will definitely going back to get the Note 10. The camera is essential and it still looks like the OP7P isnt better then the Note 9 camera.
I watched the launch, got all excited, then found out it doesn't have wireless charging and it's not waterproof rated!
Can anyone else say, DEAL BREAKER?!?!
'Cause I sure can!

IIRC OnePlus were avoiding getting it rated because of the costs involved, but were still going to make it waterproof anyway.

YouTube videos have hyped you up! How is it better than a Note 9? Only the screen's 90 Hz refresh and fills more space. Compared to the Note, screen is not as bright and run-time between battery charges is terrible! Then there is no wireless charging or waterproof. If you have come to like a lot of the features you get with a Samsung UI/apps, you will lose that too.... and no s-pen. You won't get Dark Mode until Android Q, while Samsung OneUI is doing integrated themes now. The Note 9 is about $635 right now, so the OPSP is not cheaper either.
Op7p has most of N9 problems such as curved screen, mediocre battery life and average camera. It also lacks some good N9 features such as headphone jack, wireless charging or spen. I doesn't make sense to swap unless you are bored and just want a new toy.

Not gonna lie normally I go for the latest tech. But nothing in the op7pro or even the s10plus makes me want to leave my beautiful device. And I shall be honest not even the note 10 will make me want to upgrade. Don't see the point no more. If it is working why break it.
No notification LED! That killed it for me!

charging information on lock screen.

When put on charge, I'm getting only fast charging or ultra fast charging message on lock screen.
I want remaining time to full charge information on lockscree, which I was getting on my s8, any help?

Yes I want same but for me not showing same, check my screenshot
Im sorry, Just realised that I'm looking at my S10E ?
I will try to look at my wife's A71 tonight and let you know.
I checked and unfortunately that option isn't there on the A71
That's the question, why and how to enable if possible?
So no body wants to answer? Or don't know?
It isn't possible so maybe that's the reason why no one else answered.

Thanks, "not possible" is also an answer.
Can you or anyone explain why not possible if it's possible in s20, same android versions.
Only Samsung can explained why there are differences in UI. I have a S10e and it's there but on my wife's A71 it's not. There are more things that are different, don't know what the reason for that is.
Because Samsung likes to disable features on "non-flagship" phones. Been doing it for years.
Already started this feature but strange.
On super fast charging 33minutes remaining
Normal charging (not fast) 32 minutes remaining.
