Latest news
February 27, 2019: Huawei Honor Play users in India have a new software update ready to download. The EMUI-based update has version 9.0.0.184 (C675E7R1P9) and besides installing February 2019 security patch, you also get support for ViLTE feature that lets you make video calls over LTE.
The OTA also fixes camera issues related to electronic image stabilization (EIS) and AI mode, fixes system ringtone bug, improves call quality, and optimizes call stability in certain scenarios.
Huawei can stay in China.... sux to be Honor.
It's getting real bad now. Still on November security patches and it's now march. This all on a phone which hasn't even been out a year yet. Honor need to get their game together, I was impressed by the spec and price but support has been atrocious.

Huawei isn't going to give us anything other than security patches........??
I was hoping for eye comfort mode...
Beside, is available dual SIM variant? FF doesn't show me neither single or dual version...
now only single sim but dual sim will be later
Really? Nothing special? I was waiting for more... Definetly, p8 lite is a bad, useless crap phone, good on paper, sh#t irl.. And it came out too early... I was waiting in the end of the month to appear :/ i believed they released the b598 only with security to prepare and to surprise us with b600...

WTF man ?!?! Huawei is providing us real security updates (related to the NSA leaks I think). This is ****in' great !
Yeah, I agree. What do you expect people!? It's goddamn 2yo phone! It's not Nexus...
I was hoping for new EMUI 4.1 version. Well.. I guess this is what you get when you buy a cheap phone
Now it's cheap. During the launch it wasn't so.
Disappointed. Just disappointed.
Why samsung takes so much time to release ROM updates?
In Brazil the last one is N950FXXU1AQI1 and was released in september 10th.
Because they suck with updates :crying: They update the cheap and older models first and then the flagships.

If you don't know what's going on, then don't react at all!
The November security-patch is on test now; there were problems to be solved first:
* freezing problems after using Contacts-app
* High battery usage AOD
BlueBorne has been patched in the latest update
They are crap with updates, my UK unlocked exynos is on August security patch. What happened to September's and October's? Shocking. I have the S8 as well and that wasn't too bad with updates.

That may be but its taking Samsung since ages way to long to offer firmware updates and security patches. If Sony or Nokia can do it so should Samsung beeing a humongous company with more devs then any other OEM. Hopefully they will implement Project Treble in Oreo for easier and faster patch updates.

The problem isn't all Samsung's. Part of the issue is having to go through the carriers.
Google hopes to start solving the problem with Project Treble. If that works as advertised, we'll get more timely critical updates. The trouble is, we won't see Treble until Oreo hits the streets.
Hi All,
March security patch is out in UK today.
Others should get it soon.
I saw it on multiple forums that Oreo update will come after this patch.
New update means after 2 months....?
I am getting error while installing it. Please any help?
I got it today! March S Patch... in India
Just got the Match security patch. It was around 46 MB
I don't received the patch, my channel software is Retapac.
Sent from my G5S Plus using XDA Labs
Got it two days ago. Have observed way less wakelocks. ?
If they go straight to P, I wouldn't mind skipping Oreo entirely.
I got it a couple of days ago in Spain.
Everything working fine...
BUT the swipe left to Google stream. It just doesn't work. It 'lights' the side but nothing happens.
Anybody else?
It works well in my case.

Does anyone have the build number for the retus version of the March security patch update? I think my phone (XT1806) isn't getting OTA updates

I just got mine last night. Showed up as NPSS26.116-45-12
Might be me misremembering but the last retus patch seemed to take longer to rollout to the US compared to other countries, hopefully they are ramping up the pace of things. Now where is that Oreo...
Thanks, I ended up flashing NPSS26.116-45-12 using the full firmware (https : / / rsdsecure-cloud.motorola.com/download/SANDERS_NPSS26.116-45-12_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip) and I'm up-to-date and device is showing as certified (was showing as uncertified in the play store before). Hopefully that means I'll be able to receive OTAs again.

Already received October update on MiA1 and MiA2, given that these two devices already receive late updates, Nokia claims themselves to be fast on providing updates, but they haven't provided October patch yet, while all major manufacturers are doing it.
October security patch fixes a major security flaw in the framework that lets hacker execute codes on your phone remotely.

According to HMD it's either your carrier or your country holding it up. They need to come up with better excuses

October patch is not out yet.
I am already on Pie, but it's buggy as hell.
I suspect that they are working on a stable Pie update for rest of the world and at the same time trying to fix the bugs, but they are too late at that.

The same build is rolling out for everyone. Bugfixes will be included in security patches.
I have a Motorola Edge Plus. It's September and I'm still on Junes Security Patch. Motorola 2nd tier support is telling me June's Security Patch is the latest update. How are they getting away with this?? That's a flat out lie. They said that Android hasn't given them an update. Huh???
Well I saw this thread and began checking the last update on my phone, a so-called brand new m32. I clearly remember the last update was dated November of 2021. Guess what, there was a new update just waiting to be downloaded.
