Hi,
I am soon getting a Nexus S and I want some details of the battery charger. I want to know if the charger is compatible with ~240V voltage input.
Thanks
Yes. 110v-240v

Thanks for the reply! I got my answer.
Bump.
So this Blackberry wall charger should work fine charging the Nexus S? It says it discharges "100-240 volts—works with most international voltages"

I ask because I'd like to find a wall charger that plugs directly from the plug to the phone, without needing to connect the actual USB cable.
Hi all,
My Nexus One can't charge by the charger but it can charge via USB cable.
What's the problem? The charger is dead? It's okay yesterday...
Thanks!
Many things were ok yesterday and today they're gone.

Damn right. Have you seen this issue before?
Have you tried using some other charger ?
There could be a charger problem since it seems to be working with usb cable hence the charging port seems fine
Hope it works
Charging my Nexus 7 is taking over 5 hours via USB.
How long does it take for everyone else, and if this is broken, what is the process to get it replaced ?
Also will Google replace the battery/hardware, if i've changed my ROM ?
Cheers
What kind of usb? wall charger, usb 2 on computer, usb3 on computer?

I won't charge mine via the USB port..takes too long. Top off, is ok. Complete charge...no way. The N7 has a big battery, so I use the AC charger. 5 hours via USB (dead battery ???) doesn't sound too long to me. Most USB devices only charge at some low rate...like 500 milliamps. You should be using, at least, twice that.

Thanks for the feedback.
Obviously, Google/ACER have some improvements to make.

I am charging using a usb 2 cable via a laptop.
Which begs the next question, is charging faster, with any of the above ?
You will get 3 times the current from the stock charger/cable than from a computer's USB port.

Correct. Laptop ports are around 0.5 amps, the stock wall charger is 2 amps
Of course it will charge slow over USB. Plug it into a wall if you can.

Not really its just standard USB charge rates they don't charge as quick as originally are only need a little bit of power for flash drives and so forth. Nothing will charge quick via USB.

Charging through USB is better on the battery.

If you look at your Asus supplied Nexus charger you'll see that it's rated at 2A the N7 will happily draw all of that to charge. A pc or laptop usb2 port can supply a maximum of 500mA, that's only a quarter of what the N7 needs to charge at decent rate and you can damage the usb port by putting too high a load on it. My advice is to charge your N7 via the mains charger and forget trying to use the usb port, get a second charger or a portable battery pack if you need to charge while away from home (see the thread on battery packs in this forum for details)
For reference a usb3 port can output 1A if it's set up to do it.
According to Tom's hardware you are still quick. Their graph says 0-100% on usb, screen off 10 hours.
Hi,
how long do your XZs need to charged? I got a 3m usb cable to charge my phone using the docking station and have the feeling it was taking longer than before. Currently it charged 50% in 1h 40min.
I hope it isn't bad for battery health

How are you charging the phone? Via USB 2.0 on a computer OR using the supplied Sony charger that came with the phone?
Also, what dock is it?
Sony DK26 dock, Sony charger

If you are charging it via PC via usb 2.0 (black) it will only charge at 500mA which is really slow. If you try a USB 3.0 (blue) slot it charges at 900mA which is faster. If you use the charger that came with the phone it will charge way faster since it's 1.5A (1500mA)
As I already said in my previous post, I'm using the original Sony Charger.
It charged so slow that it must have been about 700mA per hour. I think I'll search for another micro usb cable, that allows me to charge faster

Slow charging is better charging! I use a charger from an older smartphone.. 875mA..
Takes about an hour to get 20-70, another hour for the remaining 30%. But I keep it at 20-80 at most times because most guides told me so .
Over night i plug it to pc. and it actually had 0 to 78 on 5 hours so its pretty slow

Sorry misread that lol. I don't know why the USB cord sony supplied can't be longer? My SGS3 cable was way longer and i liked that. I wonder if a usb extension would be a better choice since the original cable is really good quality....

The problem is your cable,3m is very long to keep the mA power.

Interesting, I have a 1.5m USB cable (not the sony) and using the OEM sony charger it will just barely charge my Z. So maybe my issue is the cable length.. I'll try it with the sony USB cable tonight to see if this fixes my problem.
I tried charging by new phone with the included adapter and it did not, I tried a few outlets.
I took the USB and plugged it in an old adapter from my S7 edge and it started charging ,
Any one else with this problem ?
Ditto.

No problem here. Works perfectly. Even used my note 4 charger and it works, also used the micro to usb type c connector with note 4 charger and it also works. Call your provider so they can send a new one right away, try using your other charger for now. Good luck bro

No problem w/the one that came w/the phone, but,I did receive a Samsung QI Fast Charge stand to where the included wall adapter (apparently the exact same one included w/the Note 7) did not work,out-of-the-box,w/the wireless charging dock (indicator light illuminates for a moment, that's it),BUT,it works just fine when plugged-in with the cord to the Note 7.
Very strange,but true.
All of my other wall adapters,Samsung & otherwise, power up the charging base (Only the Samsung Quick charge adapters enable the wireless fast charge).
So,anything is possible.
There is no such thing as zero defects 100% of the time & unfortunately, you're one of the few that got a bad apple....
It's still under warranty & within the return/exchange window, take advantage of it yesterday...........................
I did have similar issues with small adapter. While using phone connected with my car Android Auto phone would not charge but slowly lose charge. While using original Cable it would charge at 10-15% in about 30 minutes drive.

Hmmm. No problrm with mines.
I order some on ebay (2x for about $3) they both work just fine same as the offical one that was included.
*edit
Well ran into a problem.
I try to use my new car chager and the usb adapter. The phone glitch
While it said it was charging it also said it was giving power out.
