Hello, I would like to share with you that today sammobile and Kies has published a new firmware for SM-T705M (TAB S 8.4 LTE), see below.
A few questions on the subject, if you will:
But what's the diference in the new PDA, CSC? Since I was expecting android 5 to be release to my device, it is a wonder why Samsung would post a "new" 4.4.2 release (not even a 4.4.4!!).
Anyone knows what is the Changelist sammobile posts? Anyone can realize what are the diferences between this and the old firmware (T705MUBU1ANG1)?
In a rooted my device it shows KNOX warranty. Have checked about it on XDA, I understand that it unresetable, ok, but it is re-flashable to stock firmware. I think this only will void the device's warranty when servicing in authorized samsung service centers. Can anyone confirm this?
Model: SM-T705M
Model name: GALAXY Tab S 8.4 LTE
Country: Brazil
Version: Android 4.4.2
Changelist: 2943522
Build date: Tue, 09 Dec 2014 17:52:11 +0000
Product Code: ZTO
PDA: T705MUBU1ANL1
CSC: T705MZTO1ANK1

Yes, knox cannot be reversed once it is ticked. And yes, you can install whatever you like, stock rom as well of course. But usually the custom roms are much better.
1 and 2. Samsung doesnt post changelogs that much. My guess it would probably be bug fixes.
3. Well some people claimed that they still got service even if knox is tripped. If its an hardware issue then my guess is that samsung can fix it. If its software most likely they wont fix it.

Good day to you all.

video proof: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifx8XuNTtzM&feature=youtu.be
YES, it is official android marshmallow 6.0.1 with february security patches for our beloved s5 g900f.
Proof is below...
new baseband version: g900FXXU1CPB2
build number: MMB29M.G900FXXU1CPB2
kernel from 5th of February
csc code: BTU
p.s. Can someone please translate this into English for us?
Thanks in advance...
it talking about what updates they did on 6.0
and if you want to proceed installing the new firmware
but its so weird i checked the latest firmware at sammobile
and its 5.0
So this is a marshmallow update???
Installing now and we'll see.
What country are you using your phone in? Did you install the update to see if it is android M update?
you should install and tell us what it is.
i have g900fd and can confirm no MM here
I'll be in touch. Installing now.
This is MM update... just WOW. i'm first to receive it)) Android is upgrading and optimizing my apps now...
Good news: this is really 6.0.1 update with security patches (1 February) but with the same old UI
i'll post a video soon. just wait a while.

A Factory reset can sometimes fix the OTA not coming through, just back up your data.
Or you can download the official filmware from either sammobile or updato and then flash it with Odin (13.3.1)

Ok I will try reset for now then try. Thanks.
Would you happen to know what happens if you download a firmware from a different carrier?? Does it lock the phone or can I get any firmware as long as it is for N950U??

Since you have N950USQS5CRK2 as PDA version currently, you will not get any updates period because it doesn't update from that version you'll need to do it yourself using odin and use this firmware from here.. https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=1395089523397966043

It's easier to convert your at&t to the unlocked version software wise because at&t updates are hard to come by.
Go grab samfirm download tool then download update for
Model: sm-n960u1
Region: xaa
And then flash that update with odin.
