Steering Wheel Control Issue - Android Auto General

I have a 09 Camry XLE. I was able to wire up the steering controls key 1 and key 2. However, I am only able to program 4 buttons. After that, it overwrites everything saved. I can only use volume up and down, and previous and skip. Is there a way I can use the other buttons for my phone and voice control?

Headphone Vol + / Vol - Control

Is there a possible way to utilize the +/- button on headphones to 1 press and change the volume. I found an APP on Google Play called "Headset Button Controller" but it still doesn't seem to be able to recognize the Volume + and Volume - keys.
Any suggestions?
+1 I would love to know if this can be done. I have also had quite an extensive search on this issue and I have not been able to determine why this is not possible. I have seen apps that allow you to use the one button to increase or decrease sound by pressing 4 or 5 times (how stupid?!).
I have a set of Dre Beats (before people comment: if you don't like them I don't care) and want to be able to use the remote.
I have seen images of the headphone jack which has been pulled apart which indicate several connector rings, meaning that a remote control with three buttons should work. I would even settle for a stock remote from Samsung which allows you to connect your own headphones to it but nothing.
If anyone can shed any more light on this subject it would be greatly appreciated.
The white Samsung headphones that come with the SGN-7000 change the media volume when the up/down buttons on the headset are pressed.. or am i missing something here?

[Q] 3-button headset controls reversed

My 3-button headset's buttons are reversed so that the + button jumps back and the - button jumps forward.
Also, the volume function doesn't work at all. The third button works fine though (Play/Pause)
I've tried all sorts of apps (Headset button controller etc.) to fix the problem with no luck.
I want to have single-click for volume and double-click for track control.
Is there any .kl file you can configure or any other way to change how the phone interprets headset button signals?
I'm using the latest Android Revolution HD rom (v 41.0)
Any help is appreciated!

[Q] Make remote buttons volume instead of next/previous?

Hi. I just got Xiaomi Piston v2's and they have Android compatible buttons. Only problem is the two buttons I expect to operate volume instead are doing next/previous track which the middle button does anyhow when you double or triple press. Is there any mod that allows them to be volume buttons instead? Apparently on a Galaxy S4 the volume buttons operate the volume? Is this an HTC issue?

Disable original dash display commands on VW Steering Wheel

Hey guys, I have already rebind my steering wheel buttons with the Hal9k rom and I'm using the voice command button for Google Assistant and the phone button for Mute, work great but every time I used that buttons the dash display still try to use the original command, there is any way to disable that? It is quite annoying every time I use those buttons after having to return to the screen in the display of the speed that is always the use., the car is a VW Jetta 2014.
Thanks!

JVC head unit - Android Auto takes over gestures, cannot change volume

I have a JVC head unit, which has a tiny volume rocker on the top left, which is basically invisible (although it is there). JVC has a gesture system built in - it lets you change the volume with a gesture on the screen, which is excellent, and what I typically use. It's an older car, so there's no volume control on the steering wheel.
When Android Auto starts up, it of course takes over the input events, and doesn't bubble them down to the car's OS -- so, I can't change volume on the screen using the JVC style gesture. Is there any way to restore this functionality? It's honestly making me consider using just bluetooth for audio and propping my phone back on the dashboard again for nav, since it's a backwards step in overall UX.
