MXO region has it, I cannot use it because my provider has not enabled it for my line but both options are activated.

COSMOTE Greece .
In phoneinfo It says
Firmware CSC XEF
Current CSC EUR

Try wiping the Cache Partition in Recovery Mode. If that doesn't work then backup your device and perform a hard factory reset.

I cant Install OREO? HELP

Guys , Today I downloaded more than 4 Firmwares , I download France Firmwares XEF , but my CSC not changed, Tried with New Zealand and switched to XEF again but nothing happened, ****, after 15 Hour no success still,
WTF is Wrong?
What should I do?
Now I want to NAND Erase my note 8, Do you think it help?
I've just done it (my original CSC is SEE) - took SIM and SD card out, flashed in odin NZ firmware with CSC (not HOME CSC!). Next step was booting & initial setup (only wifi login, nothing else) and factory reset from settings as soon I've made it through setup. After boot i've powered down the phone and flashed XEF firmware (again with CSC) and after that again only setup wifi and nothing else. My CSC was succesfully changed to XEF/XEF/SEE and oreo update was available Made another factory reset and finally inserted SD and SIM card.

Downgrading from Pie 9.0 to Oreo 8.1

Hello XDA Members.
I have updated from Oreo 8.1 to Pie 9.0 via OTA. However, I was disappointed due to the fact that many features are disabled, like measuring the charging current, inability to record calls and no more "Extra Volume" button during running calls.
Unfortunately, I don't remember the original firmware that the phone was brought onto (CSC and PDA).
I ran SamFirm and Android Unified Toolkit
h**p://i64.tinypic.com/5ys3nl.png
I went to up updato.com and found these firmwares, However, which one shall I choose?
Will any OEM or baseband locks may happen if I picked any of these? My cellphone SIM UnLocked and shall work with all networks.

Thank you!
Ok, first of all, which Note 9 do you have? N960U? N960U1? N960F?

Ok, on SamFirm for model, type in SM-N960F
On Region, type in XSG
Under that, change from Auto to Manual, then fill in the following:
PDA: N960FXXS2ARL4
CSC: N960FOXM2ARK2
Then run the search. That will force it to search for that particular build.
If that fails, just download ARL4 from Sammobile.
Then flash it with ODIN

SamFirm requires me to fill the the phone field. Also Sammobile is slow . I have downloaded them from Updato.com. Any issues with this?
Now for the flashing, Shall I flash using AP, BL, CP and HOME_** or CSC**? Or Just flash the HOME_** or CSC**?
You'll need to do a factory reset first before you flash anything. Downgrading will cause a bootloop otherwise.
Then use CSC_OYN in ODIN

Ok..so downgrading and using HOME_CSC to keep my previous apps and data is not possible and I have to factory reset first then do a clean flash. Alright. Thank you
Does changing region csc allow updates and call recording as well, without having effect on updates?
SM-N960UI
Does anyone know the answer to this, or is there a more appropriate spot to ask this question?
The answer is once you update the bootloader past a certain point you CANNOT go back, I tried the above instructions suggested by 'Mr. Orange 645' and they did NOT work. I am still getting no mobile network signal.
Rather ridiculously my only options are to either keep the phone and deal with all the ensuing issues that Android 9 brings to the table (no proper Xposed support at this time, so no Xprivacy) or get rid of the phone, which is most lickely what I am probably going to do today as thankfully I can sell it for that I paid for it.

try flashing with the latest odin csc_home.md5 corresponding to your sim cards CSC or region.
csc.md5 can also be flashed but might wipe data.

just the csc.md5 or home_csc.md5 should work.
you can also download your firmware with sam firm tool 0.3.6 as well. should be much faster.
regarding csc, your sim card is from a carrier(phone company).
carriers have a 3 letter code that identify them. you can use that 3 letter code to search and install the csc file.

Yes i downloaded files from sammobile for my country.
my phone is n960f and it was rooted with magisk before i flashed the files.
and yes i don't remember exactly but i think my sim was inside when i flashed.
i had this kind of problem before when i had note 4 and i used to flash a patched modem and it worked but i don't know if there are patched modems for note 9.

ah yes.. i remember that too with the note4. but since this is stock its a problem. im not sure but try and flash a multi CSC file like OXM downloaded via frija without the sim and see what would be the outcome. then phone will be on its original CSC im assuming..
Similar issue. Network connectivity was perfect with stock (rooted) N960f/DS running Android 10, though as soon as I flashed havoc, evolution, or crDroid I lost the ability to talk to my network (Verizon in the US), tried flashing my csc which worked fine with rooted android 10, no help, tried manually connecting to Verizon's APN, switching network mode, and manually selected my network, nothing seemed to fix it besides reflashing my android 10 software
Working Android 10 software -
Ap - N960FXXU5ETF5
CP - N960FXXU5ETEC
CSC - N960FOXM5ETEC

yeah usually this happens if you have a rooted phone and you flash something via odin.
unfortunately there no patched modem/ baseband for android 10 on note 9. i got it fixed from a local shop, they had a developer patch the rom manually.
so i am basically stuck with this rom until i can get a patched rom to upgrade.
with the note 4 i had a patched modem file and i had my efs folder backed up so if this happened or my IMEI got corrupted, i would just restore IMEI and flash the modem file via recovery and everything was perfect.

[Guide] How to convert s10-g973N to sm-g973f, change csc from skc to koo or any another, fix emergency calls only. No need of paid apps, boxes etc.

**********This is first time am posting a guide so pardon me. *******
********As usual am not responsible for anything that happens to your phone.*******
*****Am not claiming ownership of the above technique, its what worked for me*****
I saw many posts here about people struggling to change csc from skc to koo or international***
Others had issue with their phone suddenly lost network and just displays emergency calls only****
so I have s10 sm-g973n which had csc as koo then flashed skc my mistake. The phone booted with annoying skc boot logo, and branded junk from the carrier. Then one morning the phone couldn't connect to gsm network!
I tried all manner of things to fix it. Rooted with magisk, flashed custom rom nothing.
Tried samkey to change csc still nothing. modified odin in flashing multi csc rom nothing.
Got some luck in changing csc by editing efs/imei/mps_code.dat using root explorer, text editor and vola the carrier junk disappeared. But still no network.
was told only way is to use z3x box or chimera to patch certificate but didn't give up. I posted question here in xda but no guide or response.
But that gave me an idea of what could be the issue- corrupt efs that needs the certificate to be patched. so got keyword.
After watching many YouTube videos I came across a video about a rom that has certificate patched. Just flash with odin and done!
I downloaded and followed the instructions. The phone booted up fine and after going through initial setup the network was back!
Not only did the network came back but the model changed to F, csc became oxm! You can now use tools like Samfw from too to change csc to your local region.
Later in the day, will be flashing firmware with my region csc.
Here is the link to the rom:

Yes sim 2 will work. And after completing flash stock rom for security reasons. Because the above rom is rooted and modified we don't know how secure it is. after network certificates are patched now flash a stock rom from eg sammobile or samfw etc.

Did you find a fix for that? For me the internal memory become 32Gb. Is there a solution for that?
I bought an S10 that turned out to be a G973N(SKC) flashed to G973F-D/S(XSG). I think they used this method and these files to do it. I can't get the OEM unlock option to come up. I've tried everything. I am starting to think that it's because of the XSG country code. I was going to try to change it XEU (Great Britain) in SamFW but it just stalls and doesn't do anything. Any suggestions on what I can do here to change the country code? I need that OEM unlock option so I can degoogle it.
Hi guys,
I have I big problem with this rom man, each time I restart my phone i lost network and I have to reflash your rom and factory reset the phone to get it back. It's like it's forbidden to restart the phone, otherwise my network get lost and IMEI Status NG again.. Is there a fix for that? Thank you. Is there a for that fix?
Or do you guys have a rom based on android 12 for g973n u7 converted to dual sim that can solve this IMei STATUS NG? I watched on youtube some guys that have it but it's not free or I can't pay that from here in my cluntry the poorest country in the world.
Thank you guys.
