Hi,
My wife just bought a Huawei P20 Pro and she's using two SIM cards. I have to restore her Whatsapp profiles for both SIM cards. I successfully restored data for the first profile/SIM card but I don't know where to restore the second profile when twin apps is enabled. Do you have any idea ?
The phone is running Android Pie.
I thank you in advance for your help!
Last time, in the whatsapp clone apps I just key in the sim 2 number and proceed as usual. Automatic backup from whatsapp cloud for chats.
The problem is my wife comes from an iPhone to Android. So restore from cloud backup (icloud to google drive) is not possible.
By the way, I found where data of twin apps are storen: /mnt/user/12X, where X is a number between 0 and 9. I can acces also by /mnt/storage/emulated/12X. But the problem is the "X" is changing each time I activate/desactivate twin apps.

Hello,
with many phones it is possible to use Whatsapp with both simcard. Is there a way in Zuk2Pro?
Regards
Robert
Hi in theory it is possible.
A) each sim has a phone number that will allow you to activate Whatsap
B) with zui u can clone apps to have 2 times the same app. Meaning 2 WhatsApp
or install whatsapp busines from play store
Hi,
I just enabled Twin App on my new Asus Rog II phone, for using Whatsapp.
But whenever I open the Duplicate app it opens the original account.
How do I register in the Twin Whatsapp with a different number? Kindly help.
Thanks.
Get a new SIM card for the twin WhatsApp
I have 2 sim cards.
The problem is solved already. I downloaded a 3rd party Parallel Space app. It serves the same purpose as Twin apps.
I logged into Parallel Space app in Whatsapp using my 2nd Sim and voila, when I opened the Twin / Duplicate Whatsapp it worked.
Ok tried installing twin app for Whatsapp, first instance worked fine, the twinned app kept running through the set up process then saying cannot run as you don't have google play services installed...blah..blah...
If anyone has had this issue, I have managed to fix this, first of all get whatsapp running on your main sim, then use twin app in Settings > Apps > Twin App to make a second copy, open the second copy of whatsapp and go through your registration for your second sim until you get the "cannot run...." message. Don't close the app, press home and open up Settings > User & Accounts then add New Twin account for whatsapp, the whatsapp will reopen and allow you to continue setting up your display name and photo. Next click the chat button and import your contacts. Now enjoy using two versions of whatsapp for your two sim cards.
Hi,
is Anyone found a fix for group messaging, I am on ATT, Dual sim
My google messages used to be the perfect app for me but using it with my MI 11 Ultra doesn't detect my sim cards.
I tried other messaging apps but it won't detect my sim cars.
the only original messaging app does.
Any Idea guys?
I am on the Chinese Rom and don't want to switch to global yet since everything seems to be working fine.
Will appreciate any help.
Try allowing most of the permissions in the app settings, and then force stop the app. That's how I got Google Messages to recognise both SIMs.

Thanks but it didn't work
My girlfriend's Note 9 suddenly lost all of its SMS/MMS in the Samsung Messaging app.
Things I have tried:
1) Rebooted phone
2) Booted in safe mode
3) Wipe cache
4) Wiped the cache of the Messaging App
5) Checked that her Messaging app uses almost 400MB of storage, while my Note 9 which hasn't lost its messaging uses about 200MB, which tells me most likely all her messages are still there.
6) Tried to use SMS/Backup Restore app but it only sees the few new messages that have shown up since.
7) Tried to use Smart Switch to migrate the messages to a newer phone and also tried to use a Google Pixel 7 to migrate the data but it will only migrate the data since the messages went missing.
The folder where the data is stored which I believe is "/data/user_de/0/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/mmssms.db" is "permission denied" when I try ADB because her phone is not rooted and apparently a T-mobile Note 9 cannot be rooted. Is there any way to get to this data?
Any other ideas? She is desperate to get the messages back because there are memories of loved ones that have passed away etc. I'm open to suggestions, hiring someone that can help me retrieve them (or a donation to your fav charity?), etc.
Thanks in advance!
