Install youtube vanced, disable the limit, but why would you want to do that, I tried it and there is no difference between 1440p60 and 2160p60 except, the 2160p takes longer to load and buffers a lot

When I play a video it always asks me to choose the video player app or the photos app, I choose the video player app and then the 'always' option and next time I play a video it asks me again. Anybody else have this issue.

Hey guys
Many times I listen to music on YouTube (from the app not browser) but I want to do many things at the same time. Is there any way to make youtube continue play background and have other apps open (for example Facebook or Twitter) ?
Just download viral Pop up, i can only recommend it as it is by far superior compared to YouTube. You can play Videos in the backround, even when the display is off.
You can try OGyoutube.
Search for It on forum.

PVSTAR+ serves me good for listening to music while the screen is turned off.
I use the app YT Mobile for playing YouTube videos in the background

Root, install Xposed then download Youtube backround playback module and you are done !
Is there a way to force YouTube to play at least 480p by default?
Even on 4g it plays at 240p or 360p and takes forever to change to 480p..
Any ideas on what I can do?
Do you have unchecked the option in youtube settings that allows for HD videos only via Wi-Fi? When I try to play any video via 3G it normally plays at 360p but i can manually change that to 480p and after this every video is played from start at 480p until i close app. Whatsoever, probably there's no option to make this setting default and active after the app is closed. You can try to use different app to play youtube videos.
Does anybody else have issues playing x265 movies? I have a t810 and I have tried using vlc and mx player.
No issues, have you tried the original "video" app?

Just use the default Video app. Works wonders.
Turns out the default app does work better but it still doesn't play correctly.
Well I watch YouTube (who does not?) in the app and I saw that 720p60fps videos have less FPS than usual 25-30FPS videos. But when I play a 3D type of video on YT the 60fps videos then work fine until the app was turned off.
Then I converted and downloaded some 60fps videos to test and they worked perfectly without any lags.

p.s. when I download a 1080p60fps video it lags very hard but 25-30fps 1080p video works just fine.
