Hello, I found this app on which you can have a customizable navigation pill, similar to the one on the pixel devices:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xda.nobar&hl=en_US
I personally prefer the stock navigation gestures on the S10 though.

I used navigation gestures for a long time. Switched to pie gestures for the last few month and came back to Navigation gestures. I hoped that it got better over time as in the beginning it was beta and had some bugs.
In the search I stumbled over fluid NG
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fb.fluid
I use it since then and will try it on the gs10 when I get in hopefully next week. I even bought the pro unlock. Also bought the navigation gestures pro unlock but for now I prefer fluid.
Works even better with root. Just have to wait a little bit for the s10 to be rooted.

there is a native samsung app now called One Hand Operation + you can also find on the galaxy store or Playstore.. it works better on samsung devices.

Thanks all
Am trying them now to see the best of them

New to Galaxy Note & need some Tips if possible....

Just recieved the note this morning and although iam not new to android or thos forum, its quite different to my old HTC desire. so i have a few questions!
I cant stand the stock launcher that comes with samsung so i have changed it to the go launcher so is their anyone out their better, or do you need to root to do that?
Also wanted to know if their are any good things to download to customise my phone, i have been using my blackberry for awhile so iam pretty unsure lol.
i might decide to root but is it worth it just yet?
cheers folks. hope someone can give me some pointers, the phone is huge, but i love the screen. i was abit paranoid as i always looked at samsung as kinda boring, im just glad the phone can be customised.
cheers.
New to android?
I always used launcher pro on my gingerbread based roms.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fede.launcher&hl=en
My note is coming today, so I haven't tried it with the larger screen.
Running an ICS rom I like the stock trebuchet launcher just fine.
hey
Naw im not new to android but its been a while since i have used it as a phone as i dont use my htc desire anymore. i have using the annoying blackberry.
launcher pro is fast and works well with some good live wallpapers.
what is ICS rom? also was your phone rooted
A lot of launchers have some degree of lag when used on the Note. Go Launcher and ADW Launcher were a little choppy on my Note. I've used LauncherPro Plus for a long time on my Galaxy S and LG Optimus 3D but I think it's getting a bit outdated since it hasn't been updated in a long time.
I'm using Nemus Launcher at the moment and it runs very smooth. It's not the most customizable launcher out there but all my basic needs are there, custom grid size, resizable widgets, maps etc. and it looks pretty good as well.
Thanx for the tip...just tried the one you mentioned and it works very fast on the note! and i noticed you can actually move the icons like the phone symbol and so forth....even better. I just hate the stock rom of samsung, just ugli icons, i always like to dress it up. Now to download phone icon and the other ones, do i have to download these separetly?

Thanks for sharing that, Nemus Launcher is indeed very good. Have tried Go and AWD, but find the simple yet polished look of Nemus better.

Trebuchet Google Now swipe Replacement

Hi there!
proud owner of a 1p1 for 5 hours now.
I really like the feature of swiping to the left on the left-most-screen to trigger the google-now app.
But I hate google now
Do you have any recommendations for others apps which offer this intent, so I can swipe to the left to trigger the alternative app?
I only know one, I have instaled by default, its a bus-fixtures app called "öffi".
Thanks in advance
Maybe i dont understand well, but try to double tap on hw home button to launch gnow

The op really likes swiping left for access to a particular app. He wonders if there's any other ways to launch other apps using the same technique.

OK... So sorry...
There is a home launcher replacement app called Blur by Klinker Apps that has the GNL look and this option, but it's still in Beta and doesn't have that many pages available.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.klinker.android.launcher
But take a look, the concept is very neat!
I'm trying to get my dad to get use to android from iOS with a One Plus One. He's using the themer launcher since it's simple. Sadly he said he still likes iOS more.

Best lollipop launcher?

I've been using Solo launcher for a LONG time and love all the customizations it can do, but after I got my nexus 6 the solo will not let me open an app from the app drawer, i have to drag it to my home screen first.
so what launcher do you guys find is best?
Love nova, very smooth and a lot of customizations
I would say either Nova or Apex. They ware about the same, but Nova has a little more customizability.
Nova... Easily...
Just expect majority of the response will be nova.
Stock!
+1
As I said before in a similar thread, I use and love Flow Home. It's like blinkfeed...but better.
Still in development, but I already use it as my daily.
Good luck choosing, there is a lot of choice out there

what do you like about it over nova?
Long time nova prime user here. It works good on here besides the odd persistant google search box in the recent apps menu bug that feels a tad glitchy. It seems to me like it could use an update. Anyone try stock with xposed gel settings? So I'm on stock for the moment.

the thing i find about nova that's annoying is that i can't double tap the desktop to make it turn the screen off... which i could do in solo

You can do it if you have Greenify, then set the command for "Hibernate + lock screen" and done...!

About once a week I'll install Nova, customize the layout and screens, put a new icon pack on... then that same day I'll uninstall it and go back to the stock launcher. I am pretty indecisive when it comes to layouts. I probably change my wallpaper 3-4 times a day.

Me too.
It has some amazing features like Shutters, Quickpage and Quickdrawer, which, after you get used to, you just can't live without.
Nova Prime, been using it for years.

Nees, I like what I see of Flow Home from their website, but it's asking for an invite to install. Do you have any invites to share?
Thanks for the mention of Quick Launcher 3! I like it!
I set it up with an immediate link to Smart Launcher Pro (which I like) which also has an immediate link to Beautiful Drawers. Best of all worlds - I got a ton of apps.

miui touch assistant vs ios assistive touch

Hey MIUIers ,
MIUI 8 was launched on May 10 and it's been the tech talk of the town since then because of its attractive features.
MIUI 8 will support most mi phones as well as whole Redmi , Redmi note , and Mi note series. The whole new user interface makes MIUI 8 look more fresher.
One of the most attractive feature in MIUI 8 is the Touch Assistant. It helps us to quickly take commands over the device. On the other side its iOS AssistiveTouch. It also do the same on most part but lacks customization.
Today we are gonna debate on MIUI TouchAssistant vs iOS Assistive touch.
MIUI Touch Assistant
We can do the following things:
Take screenshot
Go to home
Go to recents tray
Go back
Lock screen
Open torch
Open wifi
Open any App
And a lot More
iOS AssistiveTouch
We can do the following things:
Voice control
Go to home
Open settings
Open control center
Open notification centre
(Not more customization)
MIUI Touch Assistant vs iOS AssistiveTouch
What will you prefer and Why ?

PIE Update Suitable Launcher

Can someone suggest the best launcher suitable for Nokia 8 for PIE? As Stock launcher does not provide customization.

I use Nova prime beta, it's the best for me.
You may also try lawnchair 2 as its free.
i only use "evie"
Nova Prime... no doubt!!
Switched to this after unboxing the phone:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.launcher
Microsoft animation is sluggish not so smooth in pie. Although beautiful in Oreo. Thanks for the suggestion, Evie is cleaner but still not smooth animations . Didn't try Nova Prime.
try Flick Launcher. it has many cool features and with it you get the ability to restrict access to certain apps using your fingerprint scanner.
