Hey Guys
Frija is a new tool (successor of now depreciated tool SamFirm) which allows users to download latest firmware for their device which can be flashed with Odin.
Frija can download Firmware for any Samsung Devices at High Speed.
Auto mode detects any Samsung Phone Model and CSC and finds all the required information directly from Samsung Server.
Frija downloads firmware directly from Samsung FUS (Firmware Update Server) without any third party websites being involved. It can pause/resume firmware downloads, even after network interruption, or app restart (if download was interrupted).
Frija comes with built in Support form, through which you can reach out to developer about any issues or bugs. Frija has built in App Updater, whenever new release of Frija is available users will be able to update to latest version of the app.
Frija does not have any Background or Startup services, which some users might be concerned about.
It also comes with Night theme, for those who prefer Night Mode on the app
Fun fact about Frija: Frija is named after wife of Odin who can see future (In Norse Mythology) can download latest firmwares which can be flashed using Odin which uses Heimdall (A protocol that connects to a mobile device over USB) and Loke (low-level software running on the device). It kinda added a missing piece to the naming convention Samsung has.

Awesome app! You rock.

Great work, i would suggest this features too:
- minimize button.
- download percentage.
- showing device name, after typing the model number, Ex: SM-G960F -> Galaxy S9.
Thanks

2. It has a progress bar....
3. Why? Pretty sure you know what phone you're downloading for if you know the model number

I would only suggest removing the need to add "SM-" to the start of the model number, but that's just nitpicking, it does what we need it to do

Devices with G960F as their model name? or any other conflicting device name after something other than SM ?
Makes no difference, just quicker to type, but I don't think there are any other G960F Samsung devices other than the SM-G960F, and same with other models. so you will not download the wrong firmware by missing out SM-

Older model had other initials for example Sprint S3 was SPH-L710 and Sprint S4 was SPH-L720T

It's not working for me. Just gives me error unable to fetch firmware for everything,

Yes, my point was there won't be another model with L710, there will be only one L710 regardless of what it says before it
For example there will not be an SPH-L710 and an SM-L710, just like there will not be an SPH-G960F and an SM-G960F
So adding the section before it really should make no difference at all, unless it is required to find the firmware on the servers, for the user (us) we should not need it either way
How many Samsung devices are called G960F? Only 1
How many Samsung devices are called L710? Only 1

I've got the same errors as with SamFirm:
"Cannot find GlobalUtil.dll. Please re-install this application"

as a pop up and in the log:

Of course Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) and Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86) are installed and the only reason I can think off is that I try to run it on a Windows Server 2016 maschine.

You have all these files in same directory right? Just to confirm
Because the actual error is app not being able to find AgentModule.dll
AgentModule, CommonModule and GlobalUtils must be on same directory as exe file

Looks like you answered It yourself, so you cant just remove SM and make it default because there other devices with some other initials than SM and it cant be predicted for each device, unless you'd want devs to make database of huge number of uncountable devices

Any searchable database index could be set to bring up a list of results based on "Contains" rather than "Exact", so typing G960F would then bring up SM-G960F as it "Contains" that sequence of characters, client coding would decide if that worked or not, hence my suggestion
For example Sammobile, not only searches model database, but also firmware database

The reason for the trouble was indeed the Windows server edition and its default settings, therefore the solution was:
1. Installing SmartSwitch to prevent any missing dependencies
2. Running SmartSwitch and acknowledge that it has trouble running because of a missing "wlanapi.dll"
3. Enabling Wireless Networking Details on how its done
4. Deinstalling SmartSwitch
5. Enjoy
Many thanks to @suyash1629 for the support!

Would you like to make contribution by implementing it? Frija is not dependent on third party website to pull up firmware information at all, which means same thing has to be kept in mind while implementing what you are thinking of, which requires to populate a huge database of all the Samsung devices and their models.

Big thanks to ej8989 for asking me to post this here for the benefit of Nexus S owners. This program supports all the Nexus devices but I had only posted it the Nexus7 thread.. Now I will maintain multiple threads although its the same program.
I will do my best to keep this program updated to support the latest builds for as long as possible. Cheers. ^_^

Right.. Sorry about that, I forgot to add that information to my site.
The updater in v1.5.4 had that problem if the toolkit was in a path with spaces in it. Just replace the Wug_Updater.exe in the toolkit directory with the new one from v1.5.5: http://wug.rootxs.com/NRT_extras/Wug_Updater.exe
Then try again, it should work without problems. it was a catch 22 for me.. I couldn't auto update the updater..lol, but now its good

After trying for over an hour and going through all three driver methods I cannot get the NRT to connect to my phone. When the phone is rebooted into Fastboot, the volume keys do not work for changing selection, and the computer does not detect anything plugged in via USB suggesting the phone freezes whenever it it put into Fastboot mode.
Model is a Nexus S i9020a running 4.1.1 on JRO03E.
This is on an ASUS K53S notebook running Windows 7 x64.

I had something similar happen to me on one machine. What I did to fix it was start at the beginning of the guide.. i.e uninstalling everything completely and rebooting my computer. Then I used driver solution#3 (RAW drivers), with a different usb port. The key is rebooting your computer after uninstalling everything.
If it persistently doesn't work, maybe I can help you out through gchat sometime.. not tonight though, I am still cranking out this next toolkit release.

Yeah I did the uninstalls and reboots. Followed the guide exactly. After it didn't work I even took the next step in killing all unnecessary system processes and disabling antivirus.
I'm going to get another notebook that's been freshly formatted and try it again next weekend.

Maybe you could try forcing the "Naked Drivers" by 1wayjonny. When you use driver solution #3 windows just scans the sub-directories of the RAW_Driver folder in the toolkit and chooses the ones it thinks are the "best".
Use this longer path instead to force it to check only in the folder which contains those universal drivers:
Code:
[NRT_TOOLKIT_DIRECTORY]\data\Drivers\RAW_Drivers\NAKED_Drivers
Let me know if that works. Cheers.

It resolves to Cloudflare DNS error page which states either you haven't logged in or if you have it is taking time to spread the DNS info [which is prolly not the case given you are found on google search meaning its been up for a bit] or that you changed your hosting provider and their DNS records do not correctly point to your domain.

You've requested a page on a website (www.wugfresh.com) that is on the CloudFlare network. Unfortunately, CloudFlare is currently unable to resolve your requested domain (www.wugfresh.com). There are two potential causes of this:
Most likely: if the owner just signed up for CloudFlare it can take a few minutes for the website's information to be distributed to our global network. Check back in about 5 minutes and the site should be up and running and enjoying all the benefits of CloudFlare.
Less likely: something is wrong with this site's configuration. Usually this happens when accounts have been signed up with a partner organization (e.g., a hosting provider) and the provider's DNS fails.

Yeah, sorry about that. I switched my site over to a dedicated IP to deal with increased web traffic and some of the new toolkit communications coming in v1.6, so the DNS needed to propagate. I still have more work to do on v1.6 but my site should be back up and running now. Hopefully the dedicated IP will help me resolve some of the web hosting issues I have been struggling with.
Again, sorry for the inconvenience and lack of communication during the temporary outage. I just was busy traveling for Thanksgiving plans.
Cheers,

Not yet I'm tempted too, while I had my HD2 in service for awhile no real top quality smartphone or android device, it kinda made me embrace the better side of AOSP Rom's, before I hated them and felt like they were too naked and bare minimal, now I guess my Note 3 is trying to push me into flashing a new rom text messages stopped working for no reason, I've been meaning to flash a new rom and get away from stock and experiment a little, I'd advise downloading the rom in something like firefox, for some reason it kept failing to download halfway through in Chrome on my Desktop though.

Yeah I've been dying to try Lollipop and found out about Blisspop last night for the LG Optimus G Pro and then today I tried google'ing Bliss Pop Note 3 and found it.

I would be flashing but dang safestrap keeps checking signature verification, it even failed signature verification on alliance rom v7.1, WTF How do I disable that? I shouldn't be getting that error especially on a rom made for this phone!

I don't get it that rom says it's for our phone. I'm tempted to try it, kind of a hybrid of N9005 and N900A mixed with Note 4 features.
The installation looks rather complex though install this odin that then flash this. LoL :cyclops:

[SFOS] [P3100] [DEV ONLY] SailfishOS for Galaxy Tab 2 P3100 v2.0.0.10

Sailfish OS’s heritage lies in Nokia times, especially in the MeeGo operating system. Prior to 2011 Nokia and Intel had a vision of an open mobile operating system. Together they invested around 1 billion USD to the project and created an open source based operating system called MeeGo, which was used as a basis for several devices, such as the iconic Nokia N9. Although the Nokia N9 became the beacon of open source operating systems, Nokia decided to end the project and chose instead to continue with Microsoft’s Windows Phone OS. The rest of that is another story.
This ROM for Galaxy Tab 2 is a port of SailfishOS on our beloved device. This is my first ever project on any sort of development and I would appreciate positive criticism. I hope you like it.
Disclaimer ->
You will solely be responsible for any consequences arising out of following this guide. Your device may become permanently unusable or unstable. This guide is for experienced users only that know their way around a typical Linux system. The linked zip contains some proprietary software. All trademarks and copyrights belong to their respective owners.
Prerequisites for installation ->
1) Rooted P3100. Instruction for rooting can be found in the forum. I have not tried on other models but braver souls may go ahead at their own risk.
2) Latest TWRP recovery for P3100. Can be found in the forum.
2) Official CM 11. Download from official Cyanogenmod website. Check which works for you but must be based on Android 4.4 KitKat.
3) SailfishOS zip file for P3100. Linked below.
4) The knowledge of using either telnet or ssh to access the device. ADB does not work.
5) Patience. The installation will take a lot more time than a regular Android ROM.
Installation ->
1) Copy the Cyanogenmod and the SailfishOS zip to your sdcard.
2) Boot to recovery. Wipe System, Cache, Dalvik Cache and the internal storage. Wiping internal storage is not at all necessary but still recommended.
3) Flash Cyanogenmod zip file.
4) Immediately after the installation of cyanogenmod succeeds, flash the SailfishOS zip file.
5) The installation of SailfishOS will take some time. Reboot to system after the installation succeeds.
Known Bugs ->
1) Videos cannot be played. I'm hoping to fix that in the next update but it will take some time. At least a month.
2) The native browser does not work in the correct orientation. The touchscreen and the display are perpendicular to each other in the browser.
3) Camera does not work. The error is similar to video playback.
4) Bluetooth may work. Has not been properly tested.
5) The Jolla Store cannot be used for downloading applications.
6) Cellular Data and Voice Calling have not been tested but most probably, they will not work. It may work on some devices.
7) GPS will not work.
8) MTP doesn't work. Need to boot to recovery to mount as MTP.
9) USB Keyboards will not work. I can change it but then ONLY USB keyboards will work.
What is Working ->
1) Audio playback.
2) Third party browsers.
3) The Warehouse store can be used for installing apps.
4) Wi-Fi is perfectly working.
To telnet into the device, run " telnet 192.168.2.15 2323 "
the default root password is " nemo " which can be changed from settings.
Instructions for installing Warehouse store for downloading apps ->
Warehouse is the community driven app store for SailfishOS.
It can be downloaded from https://openrepos.net/sites/default/files/packages/1/harbour-warehouse-0.3-30.armv7hl.rpm
After Downloading, copy the file to the internal storage via USB from recovery.
then telnet or ssh into the device and execute this
" pkcon install-local /path/to/file "
It can then be used to install apps for the device.

Thanks for trying it. Please report any other bugs you find for future updates. Since the hardware is pretty much the same, you can go ahead. But you will need to change it to look better on the bigger display. Go to this link -> http://piratepad.net/hadk-faq
Go to line number 256 and follow the guide to change pixel ratio.
This is something super exciting and awesome.
I read about it on sailfishos.org. It was cool.
Its videos and reviews were great.
Posts some screen shots of this out of the line OS on our tab.

That is not possible due to licensing issues of alien dalvik. Currently, this is the only way of running Android apps on Sailfish. It may however be possible to have a better system if shashlik is ported to Sailfish.

Just a small question(a little off topic).. why is this built upon cm11 when SFOS is supposed to be an os built from scratch (i mean not based on android at all)

SailfishOS is indeed not based on Android. The CM base is needed basically for hardware dependencies since its easier for Android to interact with the hardware on this device.
The Jolla phone and tablet built for SFOS do not require the Android libraries.
Hello,
I tried it on, and works pretty well. But the warehouse can't be installed. It requires some library "libsailfishapp.so.1". Any fix? I'd really like to try media and other apps.
im trying this Rom so i hope i will be good..

[APP][8-13][ROOT] AndroidIDeditor - device ID changer

In Oreo, Android ID (Settings.Secure.ANDROID_ID or SSAID) has a different value for each application and each user on the device.
In order to change the ID for an application you need to follow a few simple steps:
1. Make sure that you have ROOT on your device
2. Open file “/data/system/users/0/settings_ssaid.xml” with any editor that supports ROOT
3. Change “value” and “defaultValue” to new Android ID.
4. Save the file
5. Reboot your device to apply changes
I created an application that takes care about all this routine. You need just select the application and input new Android ID.
Source code:

APK file:

This app version doesn't support Android 12 and above. The new version is available here: https://github.com/sdex/AndroidIDeditorV2

Hey, I didn't try the Android ID trick. I used LINE's official procedure: https://guide.line.me/en/migration/
You do lose all your media (photos and videos) though, as the cloud backup (using GDrive) only restores text chats. You can save your media to your phone or on LINE's cloud before. It's not ideal and I wish we could do like before (using TiBu and restoring Android ID) to get everything back but this doesn't work on Android 9 and up apparently.

Thank you for the quick reply. I don't want my private chats on Google Cloud, so I'm still trying to get the ROOT approach to work on Android 10.
My current issue, however, is that I cannot find `/data/system/users/0/settings_ssaid.xml` on my new phone (Android 10), but I could find the Android ID (SSAID) on that location on my old phone (Android 9). (Since Android 8, every app has it's own Android ID, instead of device-wide).
I succeeded when I upgraded the same phone from Android 7 to 9 (which LINE thought was a new phone).
If I'm successful, I'll post the steps I took here:

LINE data successfully transferred

It worked! LINE is receiving and sending messages from both phones ^-^ It took a bit of trial and error, but changing the Android ID still works.
On my new phone, I could find the Android ID in this location: `sbin/.magisk/mirror/data/system/users/0/settings_ssaid.xml`
Please see the question on stackexchange ^ for the steps I've taken.
Can AndroidIDs be changed for dual apps for devices that support dual apps?

Thanks for the detailed instructions, but I ended up delete all the entries in the naver_line -> setting. Letter sealing works without any issue on my PC, too!
I have a question about this subject, and I'm hoping I can find an answer in here instead of creating another thread. The device I'm running experiments on is a rooted Moto e6 running Android 9.
What I'm trying to do is to put the Android ID of an older phone that has since been laid to rest onto this phone. As with most of these things, what I thought was an answer turned out to just lead to more questions and put me further back than I thought I was.
If you download your data, specifically Android Device Configuration Service, you'll get a list of all of the devices that have been on your account for I don't know how long.
At the top of each device page is a number that Google is claiming is the Android ID. It's a 15-digit number. I was under the impression that THAT is the true Android ID used to verify familiar devices since every time there is a factory reset, every other identifiable number stays the same, but not that one.
I used Total Commander's editor to pull up the xml file OP mentioned at the beginning and the hex-string in there is NOT a 15-digit number.
So, with that in mind, here are questions:
1. Which number is the Android ID which Google uses to verify familiar devices with accounts?
2. Or are they both correct and the hex string is an encoded version?
3. If that's the case, can someone show me how to do that? I don't have any background in computer languages, and of all the converters I have tried online, I haven't found one that works or I don't know what to convert it to.
4. If they are not related, and the15 digit number is the right one, where can I put it in so that it shows up as the Android ID?
Thanks in advance.

No, CSC remains the same.
I changed my CSC to XEU, now I can see the banner for OneUI 2.0 beta program,
But cannot register because I don't have UK sim card.
Looks cannot see this banner or cannot register anymore once I upgraded to OneUI 2.0 by sideload, right?

As the previous year, every beta release should be shared from a fellow member on his good will and applied manually. There is no way to get the OTAs or initial beta rollout if you are not with a UK sim card (in that case or other country if they release it there and the build is for there).

Well, it's quite solid for an Initial Beta.
I like the Google Nav Bar gestures, but man i need to get used to it, really struggling to understand "Recent Apps" switching.
What i absolutely loved was the reintroduction of white listing apps on Device Care/Battery.
Obviously, there are some annoyances too.
One was the empty and useless space that is left under the keyboard, which later i found out can be removed on the Nav Bar settings.
Force Dark Mode on developer settings seems to force a few eye damaging apps in to somehow-darkmode that dont support it, which is acceptable especially for Facebook, but weirdly seems to convert a few Dark Mode compatible apps back to a mixture of Light and Dark mode, in this case, Facebook Messenger is rendered useless.
That said, this is a beta and was very much expected. Next to be seen is battery life, which of course i am not having any hopes there either. Pretty sure it'll be hard to match the 24h battery life with 7h SoT.
Is the stock only way to go or is there a root option for Q beta?
Like flashing on top of rooted Pie or using the Pie root method etc.

My only annoyances apart from some little hickups:
Stock samsung internet browser not working without private dns somehow. Beta samsung internet works fine.
Some stutters, flashes with app switching.
Lasly, random appearence of google assistant hints while gesture hints are off.
Oh I forgot to add, battery info is horrible, no screen on time etc and it is a bit buggy when you click to times.

Sorry this is not what I meant but sentence is clearly wrong. There is SOT but it is for the day, not from unlock as far as I understood.
