Enabling multi window suport - MTCB Android Head Units General

I recently bought a chinese head unit
App: k2001n_jsh
Platformver: k20N_2018/10/22
And I would like to enable multiwindow support, but I cant find any options for it even in the dev op screen
It seems as if the manufacturer has cut a lot of features or is installing a lower version of android and calling it 8.0. Any ideas

USB Tethering option not available

Hi guys!
I was wondering why the usb-tethering option is not available in our LGOB?
I came from an cheap Samsung Galaxy Ace - and here i had WiFi-Tethering along with USB-Tethering.
As far as i know, thats a Android Stock-Feature?
Therefore, is there a way to just enable the usb-tethering (e.g. with a line in the build.prop or something similar)?
I dont want to use 3rd party-apps to get this running, since i love a straight, clean system without too many apps.
Looking forward to hear from you!

(UK) Speed Camera Alerts and Android Auto

I've not been able to find any specific posts on this, so feel free to point me at them if I've overlooked some.
Currently using a N5x with my Kia Cee'd bluetooth for music, (Google) navigation and speed camera alerts; the camera alerts are shown as an overlay in maps and have spoken alerts if travelling over the limit (app is EZCam).
I've just placed an order for a new Kia Niro with Android Auto included and am trying to locate a means of still getting camera alerts.
I've had a good look round for Android Auto compatible speed camera apps but can't seem to locate any, so any suggestions on that front would be appreciated. Alternatively I was wondering whether there is a reasonable (non-root) method of getting the spoken alerts pushed though to the head unit when using Android Auto (I've read that overlays are not available, but it's the audio alerts I need more). Alerts in my current app are over the media channel.
Any help / ideas available appreciated - I've not had any opportunity to play with Android Auto so I'm a little in the dark here.
Currently the only available API's for Android Auto developers to use is for media and messaging apps. I don't expect to to see this change anytime soon... but supposedly an Android Auto version of Waze is in the works so hopefully I am wrong (and after it ships more API's will go public).
Thanks for responding.
Guess I might have to upgrade my dashcam to include alerts as a stopgap.

Multi window?

Hi all. I am looking for a way to run 4 apps at the same time. Splitscreen is no problem. But how do i get 4? Samsung has multistar. But are there any alternatives for other companies especially huawei? Googled but all stuff i found was splitscreen or samsungs multistar. Thanks so far
@Syco2oo5
If you're on pie or later, there could be a switch for experimental freeform windows in developer options, stock Android has it, although Huawei might have removed it.

Question Has anyone been able to change CSC code to enable native call recording on A33?

I just purchased this samsung phone after ages (been using xiaomi and other phones) but unfortunately it does not offer call recording in my country. Can anyone please share if they were able to change the CSC code to one with working call recording (indian csc maybe I have seen some indian youtubers mentioning how to enable call recording) .....also please guide me how exactly do you change the csc code on this phone any tutorial would be very helpful thanks.
Quick Update: I was able to enable call recording by changing my CSC through sam fw tool there is a catch tho, as soon as I change my csc to anything non-native the galaxy store starts spamming "get recommended apps from your provider" ads after every few minutes and there is no way to block notifications from galaxy store (the option to disable notifications is greyed out) so I had to revert back.
How about completely disabling the galaxy store then?
Do some people actually use that bloatware for real? That was like the first thing I debloated
Here you can read how I enabled native call recording feature on my Samsung device
Should work on most modern day Samsung devices out there
Enjoy

Galaxy Store is required because samsung apps (camera, themes, keyboard, cloud backup etc) are not available in play store they update via galaxy store disabling galaxy store would make sense only on a custom rom which unfortunately isnt available for my device A33 and I am not rooted either. I came back to samsung after many years on ios, miui and other UI and I am baffled by how polished One UI has become I can never go back to MIUI (it was a torture with all its bugs that never get fixed) or any other User interface.....I can literally customize anything from icons, font, system wide theming to even the statusbar icons (using good lock app) back in the days we had to use xposed modules to modify statusbar icons. Lack of native call recording is my only gripe with ONE UI at the moment.
Hi my default region is dubai. For call recording option i changed my fw to indian fw. Actually i got the call recording option. Similarly im having good battery life better than before. Only catch was samsung pay replace for Samsung pay mini. I think its better to switch full fw than only cse
So is it possible to change csc in a33 using samfw? to enable call recording?
Yes,
Have you not read the other posts?
I was due a replacement phone - so I decided on the A33 5G (sim free, untouched by any network provider)
.
Bought it direct from the Samsung Store online, paid £319.99 - £10 cheaper than most other stores online, i didnt want a contract, didnt want finance, just went hassle free and paid for it outright and it was direct from manufacturer.
I would usually require the most powerfull device available with the most freedom. and least restrictions, lets say a feature packed, flagship for a power user.
Well... my needs have changed and wow, for a mid entry device - the A33 is awesome.
BUT NO Native call recording in the UK.
-----------------------------------------------
I am 100% capable and confident with reprogramming the device if needed, I was a phone technician back in the day, the Beginning of Android changed the game for me and killed any future progression in my career.
Anyhow, can anyone advise - what other features are restriction by laws, location etc etc.
Is there any tools that can scan the firmware, or list all CSCs with their geolocated features etc.
kind regards,
Dan

Android Auto Stereo Suggestion Request

Recently I installed a double DIN Android 11 unit I picked up off Amazon. However, after a few days trying to get a feel for it, I’ll be returning it due to a laundry-list of reasons. Before attempting another model, I’d like to ask this community for their suggestions for a double DIN Android Auto Stereo.
Must-Have Features:
Physical volume knob. Physical "home" & "back" buttons are preferred, but not a deal-breaker.
Automatic screen dimming/brightening for ambient light levels.
Android Auto
Steering wheel control support
Backup Camera support
Budget: Up to $350 USD.
Android Auto Compatibility | Android
Android Auto works with hundreds of vehicles and aftermarket stereos. Check your compatibility here.

From the list of Google sanctioned stereos, what are you considering?
Or were you meaning generic chinese origin kanged android with unreliable pseudo/android auto.

Great list! I had no idea there was an official sanctioned list. Thanks for this. I had been swimming through all sorts of Chinese "android auto" clones, and getting frustrated with claimed compatibility which was totally bogus. I'll look into this list and see if I can isolate my selection a bit more.
