hi,
Is there anyway to disable the auto play upon bluetooth connection without disabling the "Media Play" on connected device property?
Thx

Hi
My Bluetooth headset (Plantronics) has basically two functions: Headset (with micophone) and just headphone (music etc.)
When I'm using it with my HTC, thus activating Bluetooth, I always have to do the pairing (Start->preferences->connections->BT) and select the headset option 'use as headphone' (or 'use as headset').
Is there no simple way to automatically use it as a default device and skip the selection process?
Thanks for any advice
Hi,
I bought a Bluetooth Car Stereo. I've paired it and it pairs fine. When I connect it, it works great and IF I leave BT permanently on, it automatically connects when I sit in the car. If I disable bluetooth to conserve battery, upon re-enabling it, it DOES NOT automatically connect. Instead, I have to go Settings, Wireless, Bluetooth and press Connect manually.
Is there no way of making my phone automatically scan or check or whatever? I'm pretty sure my old Nokia could connect automatically, in fact I'll test now!
Thanks,
Joe
Hi,
I want to try and disable the A2DP connection (Media Audio) on my BT car stereo so only the Phone Audio is connected (so I can hear Navigation instructions through the phone speaker).
Although the option to "uncheck" the Media Audio on the bluetooth connection is there, it doesn't seem to work (despite warning that it will switch off the Media Audio), as it just reconnects anyway, even when the option is unchecked.
Does anybody know of a fix or workaround for this behaviour? There are plenty of apps to auto-connect A2DP, but I can't find any to disconnect.
Cheers,
Steve.
Hey Steve.
I have a Nexus 4 and I'm running CM10.1. Unfortunately, I'm having the same problem and I haven't found a fix for it yet. Have you had any luck yet?
Thanks,
Jonathan
Hello there, I hope you can help me.
For my phone to play music out of my car, it must be my phone that initiates the connection with my car. If it connects by itself it won't play music. I have to disconnect it and reconnect it manually and it plays fine.
Rather than do this everytime, I set up tasker to do it for me.
Profile: Bluetooth connected to my car.
Task
Turn off Bluetooth
Turn on Bluetooth
Connect to car
Stop
This up until recently worked perfectly. Instead now it just turns off Bluetooth but does not turn it back.
Can you advise what I am doing wrong pls?
Or what task/profile you think I should do?
Thanks.
After the task runs, check the run log for any hints.
Does it work if you run the task manually?
Hi all
This is an issue I'm struggling to resolve on my device, I have a Bluetooth receiver in my car, when I get into the car, the phone does auto connect to the receiver, however it does this for calls only. To use it for audio, I need to go into the Bluetooth settings, select the device settings and tick on the audio switch.
Any ideas why it's doing this? I've tried re-pairing the devices with no luck, also can't find anything online specific to this problem.
Thanks!
