Hi, i need to unlock bootloader of my galaxy tab so i need to root first and so i selected exploit (psneuter) and rooted with superoneclick and then when i copy patch to tab and run it it says "This application requires superuser(root) to function"
Can anyone help me?
Get SuperOneClick v1.8beta under @ Android Apps and Games. It can root and/or market fix. Read my post towards the end for instructions on how to make it work.

I root my galaxy tab with Z4root and it works perfectly
silly question on the face of it BUT...
my company has rolled out an MDM platform which restricts users who have rooted ROMS!
I really like using RR7 for all of its effeciencies etc, but could live without most of the apps that require ROOT access so I was wondering if I can install a custom ROM and then un-root it...
thanks
How will they detect of you have root ? You can hide the SU app
Anyway, Custom ROMs are pre-rooted so i dont know if its possible, However you can open the SU app and use the unroot option and see if that works.
First u need 'supersu' by chainfire if u have super user than replace it by 'supersu' download the supersu zip file and flash it on cwm
Then open supersu and go into settings tab do downward and choose full unroot
All done
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053 link for supersu

back again
just so I am clear before I do this-
once I am unrooted, I could just boot back in to recovery and reinstall the SU zip and regain my root access should I need to do something....
thanks all
When unrooted ur phone

I have an unlocked bootloader with TA-Backup like described in this thread.
But to get my banking app working I only want ro use the stock kernal.
I use the newest firmware: G8441_47.2.A.10.28_1310-4373_R3C
Is it possible to install AdAway if I boot with a different kernal with root and activate the host files?
After a reboot the stock kernal will be used with working adaway.
Does this work?

Better option for you on that situation is to use a dns proxy for ad filtering
something like this app

Yes I use a app like this, but the problem is, that sometimes it takes up to 1 - 2 min till it is connected to the DNS Server.
Have you tried if the banking app works with magiskhide and "hide magisk package name" from magisk settings?

Yes, I tried this, but as I read in some other threads, this will only work with newest Magisk.
But then I have to recompile the kernal for myself.
@DripleX, If you like to check if magisk is causing your (banking) apps to detect root, you may try this:

Dear @albenex, although I would also assume it should be possible to resolve this with use of magiskhide and other settings, I've uploaded not-pre-rooted kernels for the latest fw version into my experimental folder here.
So you can clean up all traces of magisk (factory reset may be needed to be sure) and use a boot-*-47.2.A.10.45-hideunlock.img kernel to test it. Also be sure to run unmodified stock fw.

These kernels are not pre-rooted with magisk but include the patch to hide bootloader unlock.
That should provide you setup very close to still locked phone (if you have your TA-locked restored).
If the app is working with the *-hideunlock.img kernel, magisk would need to be made hidden to get it working with a rooted kernel.
If it did not work even with the not-prerooted kernel, it would mean BL unlock is detected some other way (most likely using your Android Attest key - assuming you have it "provisioned") as it seems to be the case with google pay.

If so, thank you.
Thank you @j4nn for your reply!
I will check this after my vacation.
And yes, I made the donation
I unlocked my Bootloader and installed TWRP to install Pixel Experience custom ROM. Everything was working fine until I discovered that all the UPI based payment apps (PhonePe, Google Tez , BHIM ) are now not functioning showing popup that my device is ROOTED. What should I do? Would going back to MIUI help?
Just do a simple search in Google how to use banking app in rooted phone and you will get solution.
This is not related to mm2 only

Is it possible to get Netflix to work in android auto without root please ?
You'll have to install Fermata, and use it through the in app web browser, but yes. App download and instructions are on this site - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...io-and-video-player-for-android-auto.4079519/
I don't believe that Netflix is possible even with Fermata, but others can correct me if I'm wrong
