Neither..............
Playlists of Samsung Player
The Samsung Player manages it's playlists in
/dbdata/databases/com.android.providers.media/external-22f11ded.db
which is a sqlite v3 database.
so right now i'm using 3 music player on my cm7 galaxy ace :
1. Jet Audio basic, i use it because it has equalizer
2. Android music player, i use it so that i can share music from my whatsapp
3. Seaman player, i use it to play .aac format, etc..
my question is... is there any single music player that integrate all the three function above..?
i mean the music player that has equalizer, can integrate with whatsapp, and suport many formats, is there any..?
thx..

I don't think there's any media player that integrates all these functions in it.

Why dont you try out Poweramp player?
I love it.
It has an integrated equalizer too, I think it might just play those files your talking about.
I would suggest Rocket Player and N7 Player, Both work well and I think they might be able to play those files
Try It
I wonder if somebody make ROM with the galaxy s3 video player (which is always on separate window with other application is in foreground). Also is there any possibility to install official apps like Samsung music player, HTC FM radio, Sony walkman etc.
Help would be appreciated
Still no reply!!!
seems nobody is interested

Yes, just open the app and use the media controls.
From what I've found, whatever music player is currently running on your device at the time, the media controls on the Gear will control it,

Can agree with the above, have used MX player, Spotify, Google music and now stock samsung player. All works good.
You can even control YouTube and other video players

This. Can confirm.
Not for me. Just tried it on Google Music and it turned on the stock music player and started playing from the first song in my files.

Same experience here.
It works when the player is actually playing something. If you pause then when you unpause it will use whatever default player you have, but it will work as long as you don't stop playing. Switching songs will work tho

You have to make sure that the player you want to control is the only one active on your device. If you just listened to Google All Access and want to control Poweramp, make sure All Access is closed all the way.

I only use google. Never used any of the other players.
Not anymore
I used to be able to control Google Play Music from the media controller however, after a firmware update at the end of Jan it no longer works. If I try to skip track it opens the Samsung music player and starts playing that. Annoying as this was one of the functions I really wanted, skip tracks whilst walking without having to dig your device out.
I used to play music before on my galaxy s6 through Samsung music player and when i downloaded the apk on my new Nokia 7+ the application keeps crashing all the time

Probably the app doesn't support the phone.
