I cannot find anymore "Xperia keyboard" in Play Store (to replace SwiftKey Keyboard).
However, in my Play Store Library (Play Store > Ma apps & games > Library) I have found it and... successfully installed.
Question 1:
Does anyone if Sony is somehow hiding this app from official Play Store?
Question 2:
Does anyone know if I can trust to Xperia keyboard installed form here?

As I knew the Xperia keyboard hasn't got an update since January 2018.
I use the materialized Xperia keyboard since I had an z5c. It works on pie on my xz1c aswell.

For those coming over from samsung devices and are using Chaton (like me), Play store incorrectly says the app is incompatible with Xperia Z.
I've found and tested the latest Chaton apk [2.1.1] and everything is working ok.
So for everyone missing the app, until it's updated to install on Xperia Z the link for the apk is http://appsroid.com/download_ChatON/tech/
Hello!
I have a new Galaxy Tab S2.
I have trouble updating the preinstalled apps with Play Store.
In brief:
With my old smartphone (HTC One M8), after I reset the phone, I can go to the Play Store (My Apps) and it shows more than 30 updates. With the new Galaxy Tab: No Updates.
Only after I install 1 app, it shows if this one app is up to date. If I open a preinstalled app it may be that the software redirects me to the Play Store and that I can install an update for this single app.
What's with that?
In detail:
Usually (on my Nexus and HTC smartphones) I go to "My Apps" in the Play Store and I can see all the installed apps that can be updated, or not. Like for example: Google Drive, Chrome, Google+, Hangouts, ...
But with my Galaxy Tab I see no apps. Only if i manually install an app (like for example VLC for Android, then I see this single app in the list of "My Apps". If I install another app, then I see VLC and the other app. But not the preinstalled ones.
What's going on? I don't understand it.
Maybe the preinatalled apps are tied to the Galaxy Store
Thanks for the answer. I went into the Play Store again today, and now it worked. I don't know what the issue was yesterday.
Are those apps available as a seperate download, the Sony music and photo gallery on the 1 ii?
Sony music is there. Album app is discontinued and replace by google photo.

I think Album can be downloaded from Google Play Store
Can you please confirm if my comment right ?
It can't be found in Play Store, so you can't install it. If you find it through Play Store on Chrome you can't install it because it is not compatible.
I've got this issue too. I've tried taking the album apk from xperia 5 and it installed on my new 1 ii but force closed whenever I opened it. Does anyone know of a way to get it working? I really miss the old album app
I've got the same problem....would like a Sony video player as well, do they make one?
Look for Sony cross device section and install an universal apk.
I am a UAV Pilot who uses the Yuneek Tornado for work. Recently my google play store app quit working, and, by sequence, so did I. I was told I could download the file for the play store here.
do not understand your problem
are you looking for an app? the playstore (gapps) or a store alternative store (aurora)?
Hi,
I bought a ChromeCast and I have to use TalkBack on it because I'm blind. By default the Google TTS is installed but this speech engine is very slow and I have to wait a long time (some seconds) each time I press a button before TalkBack read selected item.
On PlayStore, I find no other TTS available for ChromeCast, I downloaded the installer for Vocalizer TTS (I bought this engine on my phone so I can use it on any Android device associated to my google account) but it's an XAPK file and I don't know how to install an XAPK on ChromeCast.
Can someone know an alternative TTS available on ChromeCast (with support for french language also) or know how to install XAPK file?
Thanks in advance.
Xapk files are associated with a 3rd party app store called apk pure. If you install its app you can download and install xapk from there. Also the app you require is on that app store.
espeak?
