So as the title says
my phone is SO-O3 Docomo on 6.0.1 on .396
I want to try the 5.1.1 debloated D5803 version, so first I have to flash D5803 5.1.1 FTF, then install TWRP, then install the Custom rom
Is this the correct way?

hi to all xda members, just want to ask something i am just curios.
i have this device with firmware .108 and upgraded to .157
what i did was at .108 i rooted and and flash dual recovery then after i connected to wifi a system uodate is available so i updated the fw, and that time i didnt lose the root so now i am on .157, so what i did is back up the system with .157 fw.
my question is if i reflashed to .108 [downgrade] rooted it and with dual recovery, is it OK if i restore the .157 fw although i am currently on .108?will it brick my device?

Hello folks!
I know my question has been repeated thousand times here.
I have tried to understand by myself and read as many threads as i can but to save some time and data bandwidth i want to know the shotest and safest procedure to downgrade my z1 c6902 from lollipop 14.5.A.0.270 locked bootloader to kitkat and try some custom kk roms. I have already rooted lolllipop using kingroot app. Recovery is not installed yet.
Do i have to flash kk ftf before doing anything?
Or i can directly flash dualrecovery and start flashing cm roms?
Also want to confirm wheter i have unlocked my bootloader to use cm based kk roms?

since ur already rooted ur lolli better to run the executable NUT's dual recovery and then back up the system to ur external.
answer to 1st question, yes u have to flash KK ftf if u want to downgrade.
u can flash directly the nut's dual recovery and flash custom rom like rockz1 and dstrikers rom
3rd bootloader is required to unlock if and only if u wanted a modified kernel like trinity..it depends on custom rom's requirement..better read it
Hi, I'm still on a pre-rooted 5.0.2 stock rom based on this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/development/z3c-usa-variant-lollipop-pre-rooted-nut-t3071069
My question is: How would I go about updating to 5.1.1 without losing root? Would I have to flash the 5.1.1 firmware via Flashtool again? If so, does anyone have a stock pre-rooted US firmware? I also have a locked bootloader, and I'd prefer to keep it that way for the better camera. Thanks!
'Ello! I wanted to ask, is there a way to root the Xperia Z1 C6903 Lollipop 5.1.1 without having to downgrade it to KitKat? Or is there a way for me to downgrade and then upgrade back to 5.1.1 without loosing the root?
Thanks for the replies in advance.
Tip
Hi. There's a specific root tool for easy rooting called rootkitXperia, you can check here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/root-how-to-root-5-0-lollipop-t3212108
But it supports only 14.5.A.0.270 and 14.3.B.0.310 (*Japanese model) firmwares. Flash one of these firmwares, root with this tool, install XZDualRecovery. then download .368 firmware pre-rooted version. Then flash pre-rooted firmware zip using twrp/cwm, it's your choise. You can choose wipe memory or not to wipe. Up to you.
Hope it helps

This won't work as the OP stated that his phone is on 5.1.1

You can downgrade to KK 4.4.4, root it, install custom recovery, and use a pre-rooted 5.1.1 firmware to go back to 5.1.1. Or downgrade to LP 5.0.2, root it, install custom recovery, and use a pre-rooted 5.1.1 firmware to go back to 5.1.1
I Try All Methods but Not Rooted Plz help me to root 23.4.A.1.232 Firmware on Xperia Z3 Compact D5833 with Locked Bootloader
Have you tried newest Kingroot 4.60? Or you can try flash back to 4.4.4 and use giefroot, then install recovery and install actual flashable rom.
