Hi, I'm using the AT&T firmware on my Note 9 with cricket so I can use VoLTE and WiFi calling, but since the Pie update it changes my CSC from ATT/ATT/XAA to ATT/XAA/XAA and disables VoLTE and WiFi calling. Is there anyway to keep the CSC from changing to ATT/XAA/XAA running pie?
Try flashing At&t CSC

Can I flash the T-Mobile firmware on my unlocked note 9 snapdragon? I believe I can. The reason I'm saying this is because I had a note 8 on T-Mobile working well on Sprint before. It was originally a t mobile device that I had unlocked. when putting in the Sprint sim card the device auto configured itself. Will the same thing happen if I flash the T-Mobile rom and use my sprint sim?

Possibly. The note 8 and 9 are similar in that it is really only 1 US model and just the firmware changes. Basically with a US snapdragon you can flash any official firmware from a carrier and it should work fine, the only difference being something unique to the note 8 tmo rom that did something special when you put it on sprint. Also , because this way of flashing really isn't rooting or anything, you would have nothing to lose and could always flash back.

Would like to know if anyone with the U1 device flashed to a carrier specific firmware and got their other features back like RCS and video calling functionality?

Good day!, Dear xda community!, I just got a brand new ATT Note 9 with the firmware SM-N960U, I was wondering since I don't mind about WiFi calling nor VoLTE or any of the carries specifics since I live offshore, would it be as simple as downloading the SM-N960U1 XXA firmware and flashing it to get rid of all the bloat?
Yes that will work. Wipe the device with regular CSC.
Thanks!, I'm downloading the firmware right now, at crazy slow speeds but o well!
I wanted to ask I have galaxy note 9 model is SM-N960W. Using it in India and I want to use volte services which firmware will be suitable for this model. I have downloaded one but I am getting confused that it is right or not

You can't use VoLTE on N960W in India.
VoLTE requires Indian CSC which is only available on N960F (Exynos).
N960W (Snapdragon 845) is intended for Canada only.

No, you can't use VoLTE on any Indian carrier.
You can however make voice calls using 3G and use LTE for data only.
I'm about to switch to Spectrum Mobile (from Sprint) and figured No Time Like the Present to clean flash my phone.
Does anyone know which CSC I should use on SM-N960U or U1? I would prefer U1 since the phone is now unlocked.
Thanks for feedback.
I'm on Spectrum. N96OU

Someone just posted that they bought the unlocked US version and wifi calling is working for them with ATT without flashing any firmware. Hopefully it is the case.

Unlocked on AT&T wifi calling works fine, HDVoice (AT&T version of VoLTE) works also.
Can't help you with the flashing questions.
Hello, I return to the topic, the security patch for the month of March for the SM-G998U1 has arrived and Wi-Fi calls have stopped working, someone else has stopped working, I am on Android 13
