Hi guys, I am new to EMUI, and I am unable to find an option how to enable a clock on lock screen, only in AOD. But I don't want AOD turned on, for that matter I also don't want the fingerprint logo popping up when I pick up the phone, but I just want to hit the power button in lock screen to see the clock. Can't find anywhere an option for it, all I see when I pick up the phone or hit the power button is the mark for the fingerprint to unlock the phone.
Any ideas?
thanks

I can't figure out how to fix this issue. I have set a pin for my Turbo, but once the timeout has expired, it makes me slide to unlock and then enter my pin. That's inefficient. I only need the pin. I've turned off attentive screen, daydream function, etc. Nothing fixes it.
Advice?
After the screen goes off... are you saying that when you pick up the device, you have the lock symbol to slide before the PIN screen is shown? What is shown when you wake the screen with the power button, do you get the PIN screen? That's how mine functions.
I get the pin screen when I hit the power button, but when I use the screen to wake up, it gives me the lock symbol that I have to slide first. It makes no sense to have slide unlock and then enter a pin.
Mine operates the same. I suspect that it's normal. The only way that I've been able to prevent this is to go to your Moto app > Settings > Display > uncheck Moto Display. Unfortunately, now when you pick up your device you will have to wake the screen via the power button.
Pick your poison I guess.
It's actually efficient in terms of battery life. If you aren't going to enter your pin, the screen goes dim in order to save your battery. What are you doing that you turn the phone on but take too long to enter the pin anyway?
All I want is a widget/app/shortcut/or whatever to put the phone to sleep WITHOUT triggering the lockscreen. I want to sleep the phone without pressing the power button. I have the lockscreen with a 15 minute timeout and every widget that I find bypasses the timeout and locks instantly.
I have the double tap to wake and my goal is not to use the power button, my case makes them hard to press.
I've been searching all around the internet for this, the closest I got was this, and this tread, but both links on the play store are out.
Thanks in advance.
ive been using this one for years https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.droidmania.lockscreenwidget
but.. everything that turns your screen off will bring up your lickscreen. UNLESS you disable your lockscreen in security settings.
Revoking the permission?
Thanks but Is there a way around that? Maybe revoking the permission to lock so the widget just turns the screen off, like, maybe?

Or look here, Gravity Screen locks and unlocks the screen by movement and detection through the proximity sensor, link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.plexnor.gravityscreenofffree.
I think this can make the trick, thanks.
I have my lock screen set for fingerprint. If the device is shutdown or restarted, the lockscreen asks for a fingerprint. After that if the power button is pressed to shut off and lock the screen, the next time it is turned on the lockscreen asks for just a swipe. It wont ask for a fingerpring again until the system is restarted again. Anyone else have this problem? Solutions?
You have to go into settings and set the power button to lock device. Or you can change the settings to lock device after a certain period of time.
It's under Lockscreen/Secure Lock Settings

You can also set it to not lock if it's connected to a certain device, like a Bluetooth.
This is a god sent because it's always been a pain to unlock the phone in a car after it's gone to sleep and you are streaming music from it.
Thanks! That was driving me crazy. I knew it was there, but couldn't find it.
I know what you mean! It was confusing the heck out of me in the beginning but then caught on.
How do one wish to switch back to just a simple swipe after choosing fingerprint unlock
The SWIPE option is now greyed out ??

Hello! Came from a Pixel and the Nexi before it. Note 9 is the best device I've ever owned. I do have a problem and some questions. Please be gentle if these have been answered before, I have researched these things.
My problem is WIFI. It cuts out all the time, randomly! I've done everything, yes that too. If anyone had this issue and solved it PLEASE LMK.
Questions:
1. How do I disable the 'press of home button when screen is off, on lock screen, to wake screen'? Basically, the screen is off and if I touch the lower middle part of the screen it turns the screen on. I don't want it to do that. SOLVED!
2. No matter what settings I use, every time I get a text message notification (stock app) my screen turns on. I have lock screen notifications off for ALL apps and have each app setting changed under notifications to NOT turn screen on. No matter what the screen pops on every time.
I don't have any issues with wifi or notifications, but there are a couple of options for #1:
Search for "Hard press Home button" in settings and disable it. If you are using Always on Display, you should to set it to Clock instead of Home button and clock
I have my P5 which I love. But there's one annoying thing about it that I can't figure out how to toggle: When I turn off the display by clicking the power button, then when I touch the (now turned off) display again (eg whwen putting the phone in my pocket) it turns on in an "unlocked" state. The padlock on the top of the screen is unlocked and I can interact with whatever apps are displayed on my lock screen. If I turn off the display and put the phone down on a table then (at least after a while) when I double click the display it turns on and the padlock is now displayed locked and I can interact with anything until I actually unlock it using the fingerprint sensor.
So my question is: Is there any way I can make the phone lock immediatly and completely when I switch off the display by clicking the power button?
Thanks in advance

Actually yes. But I had that switched on but as it says: "Except when kept unlocked by Smart lock". That I had missed. Smart lock was switched on and I hope that was the culprit. It is now switched off
Thanks for the help!
