Random reboots on stock rom - Xiaomi Mi A2 / 6X Questions & Answers

I was on havoc for 5 months, never had a random reboot. Then I suddenly wanted to try stock (10.0.7.0). Reboots are so random, maybe once a day, or 5 times; on idle? or while actively using it? I had random reboots on every situation -thats why they're random..- I tried to report this problem to xiaomi and feedback app couldn't realise that I have an actually working connection and I just give up and tried other kernels (hex and darkness). I'm using darkness kernel now and I'm still getting random reboots. Does anyone getting random reboots also? If you have, just report to the xiaomi my feedback app is not working.

You have a 4/64 GB Mi A2, right?
Please have a sit while Xiaomi solves that.
Maybe you should check the EMMC problem

Yeah my a2's write speed is 25mb/s but no freezes on darkness kernel
All 4/64 models are suffering from random reboots? (I'm not talking about freezes)

i'm not sure if all models of 4/64 A2 Xiaomi's has the problem, almost mine have the problem and i solve using MIUI instead Stock rom.
i think the reboots starts when the cache increase above 500mb or more.

[Q] Hardware Problems After Flashing ICS

I think that my phone is not working completely after i flashed the 4 ics roms.Probably it was because of the hardware accerleration in the ics rom because after i tested out the roms and flashed back to gb roms, strange problems have appeared(the phone completely does not respond for 2 seconds). Its not the problem with the gb roms as i flashed zeus,cm7,miui,lezo roms and still have this problem.Im wondering if anyone have experienced this problem and if anyone knows how to fix this problem,PLEASE HELP !

There's currently no hardware accerleration in the ics roms.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1448803
Do this, and your problems should be solved.
After I flashed miui 2.3/ics (I can't remember) my kernel logo is visible for 15 seconds, so the boot process is much longer.

wtf.....................i think you don't understand my question.I did not brick my phone , it can boot up as normal , just that the phone does not function properly. It just doesn't respond for 2 seconds and then goes back to normal but it happens all the time so im getting frustrated.Don't know if anyone has a solution to my problem....Thank you for responding anyway
I understand your question.
So, if you do this procedure, you phone will be completly restored. (No more SU, Root, CWM etc.)
Then you can completly screen out/exclude software errors.
And if this not works, it's a hardware problem.

when i use the phone or play games more than 7-10 minutes , it gets hot.
blue screen error
after flashing to ics ,after 3 to 4 hrs of usage blue screen error and CWM not working the error is, its showing an error occured while attempting to run privileged commands !!!
I have happen to see that blue screen that you mentioned but no strange things going on over here, and I have been flashing to ICS and restoring to GB all weekend just to compare. I know it may sound as a silly question but did you do your wipes before all those roms you mentioned?

[Q] Restart (soft reboot) issue, once every 2 hour

Hello I have got a Galaxy Note with this configuration:
ROM: imilka's Paranoid Android v0.4a
Kernel: the unspoken Th.. kernel v0.15
Baseband: LB1
SD Card: Samsung 32 GB Class 10
My device restarts nearly every 2 hours. And actually that is not complete restart. It starts from the ROM's logo (the logo after Samsung Galaxy Note screen). I think that is a soft reboot.
Whatever, i uninstalled most of the apps that i had lastly installed, but problem is still here and i dont know what is the reason. maybe the reason is this rom, or the kernel but as i see no one has the same problem on paranoid v0.4 or the unspoken kernel v0.15 or also this 2 together. So there must be sth else which triggers my device into a soft reboot nearly every 2 hour.
Today the first restart was sth between 09:47-09:50
Second restart was sth between 12:20-12:23
i attached two log files which i get from System tuner (on zip file) and i also added two pictures which i was suspicious about the command which could cause to restart issues.
i am suspicious of BackupManagerService because on every log file i have it just before the restart. But maybe someone else can look and understand better than me i am not expert on these things.
Could please someone help me about this situation i would be so pleased.
Restart issues are caused by the Kernels....try changing it..

Lenovo Zuk Z2 Plus Random Freeze

My Lenovo Zuk Z2 Plus has been randomly freezing (Happens at least once each day) even when it is NOT in use. The following conditions are observed on freeze:
Blank black screen
Flickering notification LED
Slight heating up
To recover, I have to force reboot by holding the power button and sometimes it requires multiple force reboots to recover.
Since the phone is only a month old and I'm not sure of the warranty norms, I have refrained myself from rooting my phone and trying a custom ROM.
I had handed over my phone to the official service center; they reinstalled the ROM. However the problem still persists. Before visiting the service center again, I was wondering if I could get any insight/past experience/help from the community here.
Can anyone help me in anyway?
PS: I know this is the Zuk Z2 Pro thread, but as there was no Q&A thread in the Zuk Z2 Plus section, I am forced to post here. Sorry for that!
On which ZUI version you are ??
ZUI 2.0.111ST or 2.0.133 ST ??
There was problems in 2.0.111ST .
If you are still at that try factory data reset, then update then again factory data reset.
Tell me if the problem occurs again.

I am on 2.0.111 ST. The System Update application does not detect any updates. I had earlier tried a factory reset, but I will nevertheless try it again and let you know.
Thank you for your reply.

Register and select china sever from the server list and connect.
Then again check for system update.
Now hurray you'll get one of approx 54mb, i.e, 2.0.133ST .
After installing it, please dont forget to factory data reset once again.
Hope it will resolve your problem.
Do notify for any assistance. Anytym

Oh no, the problem still persists. Is this a common problem? Can it be hardware related?

I cant Say what it actually is. If problem is increasing, i suggest u must visit service centre.
But heating problem is common. Try greenify for some lesser background apps. It will surely less heatup.
My phone is also having a problem. The screen flickers when using Instagram . Going black from top and bottom and flickers in center. Only way to exit is to close the Instagram app. I updated and factory reset but problem persists.
I thinks its an software problem because it happens in instagram app.
Waiting for official Nougat update.
thats happen to me twice when i try indian rom, but i never have that problem on chinese 2.3 rom, cm based rom, even now i using zui 2.5. maybe it's rom related

Haven't seen this issue before, it sounds like you might have a faulty phone, best to return and get it exchanged
I have that same issue on my zuk z2 with the Indian Rom. The smartphone arrived about 2 days Ago.
Did anyone manage to solve this problem?

If possible, get the phone replaced. The issue has not yet been solved; my phone is with the service center now and they are looking for hardware problems. They had re-flashed the latest ROM twice earlier, but did not help.
PS: I have noticed that the problem usually arises when I am at specific physical locations. There was a time when I used it for almost a month in Mumbai without any problem. But I have no evidence to support this claim, only observations which could also be coincidence.
I have the same issue but with a ZUK Z2 Pro. I had no problem since about 6 month but since I updated to ZUI 2.5.335 I have this issue.
Did anyone found a solution?
Is there a way to go back to a previous ZUI version? I haven't rooted and installed any custom ROM yet.
I too had the same issue with mokee roms both 6.0.1 and 7.1.1 . So I relocked my phone and switched to stock zui 2.0.133 and the issue is solved. But this rom gives me fingerprint issues

Faulty zui
Guys just turn off the notification led from settings. Worked for me.
I am also facing screen freeze issues,
I noticed it happens jut after unlocking phone
I seem os or kernel problem because at that time all 4 cores getting stopped working.
I am on Indian zui 2.0.133
My Z2 Pro has the same problem. I've experienced flash screens, unstable wifi and cell networks, and after that a black screen of death that requires a hard reboot (or some) to live again. There would be a dim notification light whenever it happens, and if you don't reboot it fast, the phone gets hot and loses battery real quickly.
I haven't found a clue about what triggers this, but changing anything in Settings, i.e wallpapers, might have been a cause. I've been using one fixed wallpaper (that survived the issue) for two weeks and no flashed screens so far.

Hi guys, i have a problem, I activated DND mode yesterday. Now i see my phone can't vibrate, only when i connect charger.

It was the case for me. I just reset my phone and reinstalled it without using a backup. Now my problem is solved. It vibrates all the time.

I tried to install rom via twrp, it ran for a long time, more than 4 hours. I used miflash to re-install the original rom but the device is still running very slowly, please show me how to fix it, thanks!
